ANSI vs EN StandardTo make the right choice, you must understand the two common standards for defining levels of cut protection: ANSI and EN. There are some fundamental differences between the ANSI and EN standards, which include the rotation and pressure of the blade, as well as the general test methods. While they both show the different cut resistant properties of a material, there is no direct correlation between the two ratings other than the higher numbers indicating a greater level of cut protection.
