  • HOSTING YOUR LIVE YOUNGER LONGER EVENTWhat better way to share Shaklee nutrition than by hosting your own Live Younger Longer event?

    Invite prospective Shaklee Members and Distributors for a fun hour to learn about our clinically proven nutrition products and life-changing business opportunity. This step-by-step guide includes everything you’ll need to know before, during, and following your event. Event OverviewTHE LYL EVENT INCLUDES FOUR PARTS:1. Mix & Mingle (10 minutes): Make introductions, get to know your

    guests, and share a bit about yourself. Tip: provide name tags to help guests get to know one another.

    2. Present Shaklee nutrition products using the Healthy Nutrition LYL Presentation Deck and Script (10 minutes). Tip: be sure you’re up to speed about the products you plan to share, reviewing FAQs, Product Information Sheets, pricing, etc. before your event.

    3. Share and prepare a Life Shake recipe (20 minutes). Tip: have recipe alternatives handy for guests who might have food allergies or intolerances.

    4. Present Shaklee company information and the opportunity, take the Shaklee Healthprint™ assessment, then close (20+ minutes). Tip: remind guests before the event to make sure they bring their smart phones with them in order to access Healthprint.

  • Before Your EventSET THE LOCATION – Your LYL event can be any place: your home, the party room at your condo complex, or a restaurant. Make plans to decorate the space to support the products you’re highlighting.

    Tip: showcase products with our all-new label design for a beautiful product display that also acts as a decoration. (Please note that new labels for all nutritional products are being phased in starting in September 2018. The majority will be transitioned by spring of 2019.)

    REFRESHMENTS – Be sure to have Shaklee products on hand to share as snacks, along with other healthy options for your guests.

    Tip: set a sensible budget for each event and stick to it.

    TOOLS AND SUPPLIES – Take advantage of downloadable tools from Shaklee, including the Live Younger Longer presentation deck and script, flyers, and order forms to round out your décor. Order copies of the Shaklee Product Catalogue to share with your guests. Decide how you’ll display the LYL presentation slides (on your TV, iPad, computer, etc.). Designate a space for preparing the shake recipe.

    Tip: consider doing a draw where guests can win a Shaklee product.

    GENERATE INTEREST – Prior to your event, create interest around the topic of healthy nutrition. Reach prospective attendees with the help of Facebook® or Instagram® posts, available from Shaklee Social. Responses to these will help generate a list of potential guests to invite to your event.

    Tip: be sure to include a personal message in each post.

    INVITE, INVITE, INVITE – With the date and details set, it’s time to invite! Send evites, create a Facebook event and invite your network, text people, post on social media, and make calls. And don’t forget to send a reminder to your confirmed guests 48 hours prior to your event.

    Tip: you should plan to invite four to five times as many people as you want to attend.

    REVIEW THE LIVE YOUNGER LONGER PRESENTATION DECK AND SCRIPT – Familiarize yourself with the presentation deck and script before the event so you can easily and efficiently share it during your meeting.

    Tip: highlight points in the script you think will appeal most to your audience at each event.

  • During Your EventSET A FUN AND FESTIVE TONE – Use upbeat, lively music as guests arrive. Share refreshments and get to know your attendees before starting the presentation.

    Tip: take a few song requests from your guests prior to the event!

    KEEP THE PRESENTATION SHORT AND SWEET – While you’ll want to keep to the script to ensure you’re honouring your guests’ time limitations, feel free to insert your own brief personal positive product experiences. And, at the designated spot in the presentation, be prepared to share your own story and experience starting your own Shaklee business.

    Tip: personalize your presentation! Add some of your own pictures representing milestones on your Shaklee journey to the “Your Story” slide provided.

    MAKE PURCHASING PRODUCTS AND JOINING SHAKLEE EASY – Remind your guests to bring their smart phones to the event so they can easily complete the Shaklee Healthprint™ assessment, make purchases, and/or join Shaklee as Members or Distributors.

    Tip: be sure you have your own smart phone, iPad, and/or laptop ready for those guests who may not have a smart phone on hand.

    After Your EventFOLLOW UP – Thank every guest for attending using the customized “thank-you” e-mail templates found at MyShaklee.com > My Business > Sharing Shaklee. That’s where you’ll also find e-mail templates for your invited guests who:

    1. Purchased product only

    2. Joined as Shaklee Members

    3. Joined as Shaklee Distributors

    4. Didn’t make a purchase or join Shaklee

    5. Didn’t attend

    These customized templates will help you maximize the impact of your follow-up interaction with each of your guests.
