ShikeI have received many e-mails asking some informationregarding the word “Shike”.In the Japanese kobudo, when a “personage”, whichhas received the transmission of the school died, his off-spring or the designed person receive the rosters of theschool (makimono).These persons enter the title of Menkyo-Kaiden that indicate they have practiced themethod of school, that have got the makimono= rosters of teaching and they are rec-ommended as “Shike” (family sensei) or that of Soke.This title, Soke, has been used during restoration Meiji (1868) that changed com-pletely the society of the class of the Samurai.In the Gendai-budo (the contemporary budo which include all the disciplines with theconcept of the do= the way, so ken-do, judo, aikido ect). As in some other schools themaximum levels are indicated with the degree, Dan Menjio, or with the title of Hanshi.

Is WJJF a member of the Australian Jujitsu FederationNO they are not members ... a complete listing of all members of the Australian JujitsuFederation is available on our website http://www.jujitsu.com.au/member-schools/ Mr Campbell’s jujitsu school in Australia is to our understanding just a single club en-deavouring to attract membership through its use of the WJJF name and claiming tobe a world body.Within Australia all sports coaches, which includes instructors in various martial arts,are encouraged to attain accreditation under a coach education program of the Aus-tralian Government controlled by the Australian Sports Commission ... this accredita-tion is a compulsary requirement in many Australian venues ... This program is the Na-tional Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) and the Australian Jujitsu Federation isthe only body administering this program for Jujitsu. The new “way”The Federation Budai Ifjúsági Sporte-gyesület headed by Tamás Smaraglaihas done for the first time their exams ofdan-menjo at the presence of the Presi-dent shike Gsb, at the Hungarian De-fence Accademy ( Army).This organization entered in theWjjf/Wjjko rota in 2011, and it was oneof the last ones taken by Soke Robert Clark.In the field of a vision of a traditional jujistu (ko-ryu) they presented some kata,part of the School of the judo kodokan,created by the professor Jigoro Kano(1860/1938). It was also the right occa-sion to find a common denominator anda wider integration with the technical
