„ The Noble Box”
Mit dieser landesweiten Hilfsaktion wird den ärmsten Menschen in Polen seit 2001 durch Vermittlung vom Verein „Frühling” geholfen.
With this national charity action we help
the poorest people in Poland since 2001
through ‘SPRING’ Association
In this pre-Christmas action
directed at families in need, in December 2012,
our school has participated for the 6th time.

Noble Box in VIII LOAn dieser vorweihnachtlichen Aktion, die auf die hilsbedürftigen Familen gerichten ist, hat unsere Schule im Dezember 2012 schon zum sechsten Mal teilgenommen.

Noble Box in VIII LOWir haben 50 Pakete für 3 Familien vorbereitet. Mit dem unter der Schulgemeinschaft gesammelten Geld wurden unter anderem ein Staubsauger, eine Saftpresse, ein Tisch mit den Stühlen, ein Rehabilitationsgerät, Kleidung und benötige Lebensmittel gekauft.
We prepared 50 parcels for 3 families. For money collected in the school community we bought among other things: a vacuum cleaner, a juicer, a table with chairs, rehabilitation equipment, clothes and needed groceries.
In diesem Jahr haben diese Aktion an unserer Schule unsere Klassenkameradinnen Ania Przetaczek und Kasia Sieradzka koordiniert, und von den Lehrkräften unsere Schulpädagogin Frau Elżbieta Zielińska-Peszko und unsere Schulpsychologin Frau Stanisława Jaromin.

This year the action in our school was coordinated by our classmates Ania Przetaczek and Kasia Sieradzka, and on the teachers’side - our school counsellor Ms Elżbieta Zielińska-Peszko and our school psychologist Ms Stanisława Jaromin.

Diese große nichtstaatliche Wohltätigkeitsorganisation Wirkt in Polen seit 1993. Am ersten oder zweiten Sonntag im neuen Jahr sammeln über 120.000 Freiwillige im ganzen Land Geld für die medizinische Versorgung polnischer Kinder. Alle Leute, die Geld gespendet haben, bekommen zum Dank ein großes rotes Herz (Aufkleber).
This great public benefit organization has been operating
in Poland since 1993.
On the first or second Sunday of the new year,
120 thousand volunteers collect money for Polish children’s
medical care. All the people who donate money
get a big red heart sticker as a thank you token.

Im Januar 2013 wurden doch die Spenden nicht nur für die Lebensrettung kranker Kinder sondern auch zum ersten Mal für die würdige medizinische Versorgung der Senioren gesammelt.

In January 2013 donations were collected not only for saving sick children’s lives but also for adequate health care for the elderly.
Unsere Schule hat sich zum ersten Mal am "Großen Orchester der Weihnachtshilfe" engagiert. 86 unsere Mitschüler (15 von unserer Klasse) haben bei dieser Hilfsaktion als Freiwillige mitgemacht. Es ist ihnen gelungen, fast 22 000 Zloty (5500 Euro) zu sammeln.

VIII LO in ‘The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity’
This year our school engaged in GOCC (WOŚP) for the first time. 86 our students participated in this action as volunteers.
During this charitable collection, they managed to collect almost 22 000 PLN, i.e. 5500 Euros.
„Ich war 10 Stunden als Freiwillige bei diesem „Orchester” tätig, weil ich mindestens auf diese Weise den Kranken helfen wollte. Man weiß nie, was die Zukunft mitbringt.”

Unsere Schule arbeitet an diesem Projekt seit 2007.
Our school has been working in this project since 2007.
Dieses Projekt verbindet die Jugend aus 30 Schulen
und 12 Ländern Europas.
The project joins the youth from 30 schools and 12 countries of Europe.
Jedes Jahr nehmen 8 Schüler unserer Schule an einem internationalen Projekttreffen in Deutschland teil, wo sie sich mit dem Thema „Nation und Europa” beschäftigen.

Mit Schülern aus Ungarn, Slowakei, Tschechische Republik, Slowenien, Litauen, Lettland, Estland und Polen bilden wir zusammen unsere Stadtwiki.
With students from Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland, we create our Stadtwiki together.
In unseren Artikel stellen wir die Probleme eigener Lokalgesellschaft (der Stadt, der Wohnsiedlung, der Schule) dar, während der Projekttreffen diskutieren wir über verschiedene Aspekte des gesellschaftlichen Lebens jeweiliger Region.
In our articles we present problems from our local environment (town, neighbourhood, school). During project meetings, we
discuss different aspects of social life in a given region.

In diesem Jahr feiern wir das 20. Jubiläum der Zusammenarbeit mit Moll-Gymnasium in Mannheim.
This year we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the cooperation with Moll-Gymnasium in Mannheim.
Durch Schüleraustausche überwinden wir
die Vorurteile, die zwischen uns – die Deutschen und Polen - noch irgendwo existieren.
Through these exchanges we overcome prejudices which still somewhere exist between the Polish and Germans.
Trait d’union
Trait d’unionSeit 2004 veröffentlichen die Schüler ihre Artikel und Kommentare auf der Internetseite der internationalen Schülerzeitung ‘trait d'union’.So entsteht ein interkultureller Dialog zu verschiedenen für uns wichtigen Lebensthemen.

Dabei versuchen wir einen interkulturellen Dialog zu bauen, was wir uns zum Ziel gesetzt haben. Obwohl das uns aus verschiedenen Gründen nicht immer gelingt, sammeln wir mindestens gewisse Erfahrung in diesem Bereich, was für uns sehr wichtig ist, weil viele von uns die auf Europa orientierten Zukunftspläne haben...
Through this, we try to build an international dialogue which is our aim. Although, because of different reasons, we are not always successful, we at least collect certain experience in this field, which is very important to us because many of us have future plans directed at Europe...
