Hockey Helps the Homeless
Remember...Once a Wolf, Always a Wolf
The Waterloo Wolves Major Midget AAA alumni are proud to have a team
participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless (HHTHL) fundraiser on October 30
at RIM Park.
HHTHL works with five local homeless support agencies who are driven by the
belief that everyone should have a safe, affordable, secure place to live. Together,
they work to provide comprehensive support to the homeless of all ages, genders,
and backgrounds – women and families, youth, and adults.
In Waterloo Region, an estimated 3,492 individuals are living in emergency shelters
and another 2,719 households are on a housing waitlist (2013 Homeless Hub
survey). Thousands more need essential support services provided by these
agencies in Kitchener-Waterloo.
All funds raised at HHTHL in Waterloo will stay in KW.
The Waterloo Wolves Alumni team has a goal of raising $10,000. Donations of all
amounts may be made online today at http://www.hockeyhelpsthehomeless.com/
We thank you for your support and hope to see you on October 30th.
