The Wollschläger Family.

For more than 75 years, Wollschläger GmbH & Co. KG has been an owner-

managed commercial, technology and service company and the leading

system provider in the materials management industry. Wollschläger employs

more than 1,000 members of staff and, together with our subsidiary, Hommel

GmbH, is represented in a total of 15 branches throughout Germany.

Turnover in financial year 2014 totalled around EUR 300 million. With more

than 85,000 precision tools and C-class items, and more than 15,000 brand

articles, the company boasts the most extensive product range in the in-

dustry.

The roots of our medium-sized company lie in the Ruhr region, where hard

work has always been intrinsically linked to warmth and sincerity. This is

what we base our company culture and our standard for ourselves on.

The Wollschläger GmbH & Co. KG success story began in 1937. Our family

company was founded by Heinz Wollschläger and, around 40 years later, taken

over by his son Frank Wollschläger.

Today, in 2014, Carsten Wollschläger is responsible for the field of personnel

development and is bringing the company into the third generation.

Wollschläger has thus been a successful family company for generations,

as family management means the ability to act. This means that we can

guarantee our long-term survival and success.

We also pass on these essential factors to our junior staff. In addition to nu-

merous apprenticeships, we offer an integrated degree programme to skilled

young people.

Encourage and challenge: we support our apprentices with an internal com-

modity economics class and take them on tours of our suppliers’ plants.

This helps them to understand key processes in practice. We also attach

great importance to independent working: apprentices take responsibility

for projects, such as “apprentices recruit apprentices”, and represent Woll-

schläger at job fairs. Once a year, there is an apprentice outing, which

strengthens solidarity and team spirit among them.

We have implemented a central key account management system, so that

we can provide optimum customer support to our internationally active key

accounts as well. True to the motto “One face to the customer”, our customers

are looked after by one central contact person. Our shopping cart team

specialises on the needs of our key accounts.

Thanks to our Europe-wide network consisting of our own branches and

our trade partners, we ensure an international service portfolio for our cus-

Wollschläger Investsin the Future.

From the beginning of next year, we will be represented centrally for you at

our new logistics centre and also in the future our new administrative head-

quarters in Bochum.

Our logistics centre is 30,000 m² in size and includes a modern high-bay

warehouse with 9,200 pallet spaces and 100,000 storage spaces in the

shelving system. From here, we will be able to process 3,000 shipments

and 11,000 order items every day.

Our new, modern office building for administration offers our company and

our employees more room to grow. This will not only increase motivation

and satisfaction, but will also improve internal processes.

We will therefore be able to strengthen our core competences. We are not

only optimising our portfolio of products and services, but also enhancing
