Since 1995, Women of Color magazine’s
annual Women of Color Science, Technology, Engineering
and Math (STEM) Conference has been the forum of choice to recognize the significant
contributions of women in STEM fields and attract and leverage talent in America’s scientific and technical
workforce.
The Women of Color STEM Conference provides a one-of-a-kind forum to meet leading women in various STEM industries including information technology, biotechnology, manufacturing, automotive, financial services, transportation, aerospace, energy, healthcare, hospitality and retail.
The Conference—with prestigious Award ceremonies that have earned widespread praise—also provides unique opportunity to network with and learn from executives in Fortune 500 companies that embrace diversity and are recognized as top places for women to work.
College students attend to meet the winners and to learn how to take the next critical steps to forging careers of their own.
Women of Color STEM Professional Development workshops are focused on:
♦ Growth trends and key issues in the U.S. job market
♦ Diversity initiatives and the shortage of women in STEM fields
♦ Technological innovations and women-owned IT ventures
♦ The steps necessary to advance your career
♦ Why it is important for companies to achieve their diversity and inclusion goals and retain top performers
The Exhibit segment of the conference allows attendees and college students the opportunity to meet with executives and recruiters from STEM organizations. A Career Fair connects students and professionals with employers to jump-start their careers.
The Women of Color STEM Conference is the perfect forum for women who want to continue to enhance their professional development and remain competitive in STEM Fields.
