NEED FOR THE PROGRAMMELeadership is Leadership. How can we split it into Male Leadership and Woman leadership? Although, there is no divide between male and female leadership as a concept, it manifests itself differently in workplace behaviors. It is relevant to explore and dialogue on this subject and experientially understand how leadership can be embodied and as a lived experience be different for women managers aspiring to be leaders. This programme is especially tailored to foster learning among women managers which will enable the creation of a leadership pipeline inclusive in nature for the organisation.

IndividualCoaching

EDAGOGYPedagogy will include role plays, caselet discussions, films and activities related to the power of being a woman executive/manager/leader.

The programme is designed in workshop mode where learning is 75% of the time interactive and experiential and not just ‘teacher tell’. The course faculty will ‘live’ through and ‘enliven’ the learning process along with the learners. The participants will be provided course outline, pre-requisites for learning effectively and efficiently in class. Handout material and other working material; work books etc. will be provided for each module. The participants would be able to apply these concepts to simulation exercises and receive feedback and coaching. Nilima Bhat is a visionary, speaker, facilitator and coach in the fields of Personal Mastery, Leadership, Gender Equality and Wellbeing. Her extensive and pioneering body of work is encompassed in her two books, Shakti Leadership – Embracing Feminine and Masculine Power in Business and My Cancer Is Me – The Journey from Illness to Wholeness. Nilima led Corporate Communications for an ITC Hotel, Philips, and ESPN STAR Sports before co-founding Roots & Wings, a leadership consultancy in 2004. She has delivered leadership training and facilitation for Microsoft, Whole Foods Market, Etsy, Genpact, Tata, Societe Generale Bank, Vodafone, and YPO, as well as academic institutions and developmental organisations such as Babson College, University of San Diego, and SKS Microfinance.

Prof. Bhushnurmath has been with MDI since 2004 as a faculty in Finance and Banking. Prior to MDI, for 16 years (1978-1994) he was associated with RBI and then for 11 years (1994-2004) was senior VP of DFHI (Subsidiary of RBI).
