第四組 郭俊延 孫學安 王大齊 黃鵬仁 施昱丞
The Story of an HourPlot:Mrs. Millard died of heart disease when she the terrible news of her husband's death in a train accident is passed on to her.
Characters:Louise Mallard (Mrs. Mallard):HeroineBrently Mallard (Mr. Mallard):Louise’s husbandJosephine: Louise’s sisterRichards: Brently’s friend
Conflicts:Louise is confused of being immoral if she feels happy after received the news of her husband’s death. However,Her husband loves her—his face had never looked save with love upon herandHe has never really done anything cruel to her except treat her like a woman.
Ironic:the most ironic message passed by this story is not its plot but the person who are reading the story. Why?We always make a conclusion too quickly without thinking of inner nature.SoWe easily finish a famous story written by a famous feminism writer but still use the thoughts of chauvinism to explain this story.
Lost Lives of WomenPlot:Tan captures the stories of several women, relatives of hers grouped in an old photo to reveal the state of women of China in 1992.
