HUSKERS CLOSE NON-CONFERENCE PLAY WITH NO. 1 UCONN The Nebraska women’s basketball team closes its non-conference schedule by taking on unbeaten and No. 1 UConn Wednesday at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln. Tip-off between the Huskers (4-7) and the Huskies (10-0) is set for 8 p.m., with tickets available now at Huskers.com. Tickets also will be available Wednesday night at the Pinnacle Bank Arena Box Office beginning 90 minutes prior to tip-off. The game will be televised live by the Big Ten Network with Kevin Kugler and Brenda VanLengen on the call. A live radio broadcast will be available from the Husker Sports Network with Matt Coatney and Jeff Griesch calling the action on B107.3 FM in Lincoln and CD 105.9 FM in Omaha. Sophomore Jessica Shepard led the Huskers with her third consecutive double-double and sixth of the season with 22 points and 11 rebounds. The 6-4 forward from Fremont, Neb., is averaging team bests of 19.4 points and 11.1 rebounds and owns 16 career double-doubles for the Huskers. She also leads the Huskers with 13 three-pointers this season. Freshman Nicea Eliely has added 8.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and a team-leading 1.7 steals per game for the Huskers. The 6-1 guard from Colorado Springs, Colo., also leads the Huskers in field goal percentage (.500) while starting all 11 games. The Huskers also will honor 2016 Olympian Danielle Page on Wednesday. Page, who was a four-year letterwinner at Nebraska from 2005 to 2008, became the first Husker basketball player in history to earn an Olympic medal by helping Serbia to bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Page averaged 10.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game in helping Serbia to its first-ever women’s basketball medal. Page ranks No. 3 in Husker history with 207 blocks, including a single-season record 78 as a senior in 2008. SCOUTING UCONN Nebraska closes its 12-game non-conference schedule when the Huskers take on the unbeaten and No. 1 UConn Huskies at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Wednesday. Although the Huskies have never faced the Huskers in Lincoln, UConn has won a pair of games at Pinnacle Bank Arena. In 2014, UConn advanced to the NCAA Women’s Final Four by winning the NCAA Lincoln Regional with wins over BYU and Texas A&M. UConn Coach Geno Auriemma was so impressed with Pinnacle Bank Arena, the city of Lincoln and the hospitality shown by Husker fans, that he arranged for a home-and-home series with the Big Red. “The people are phenomenal. The building is spectacular,” Auriemma said. “This is really, really nice. There’s no doubt in my mind there will be another regional here, no question. Most places are fans of their team, not necessarily fans of the game. Here I think they take tremendous pride in their team, their school and the community, and they showed it.” Since leaving Lincoln on March 31, 2014 , the Huskies have captured three consecutive national titles and won 88 of 89 games with their only loss coming in overtime at Stanford on Nov. 17, 2014. Since that setback, UConn has reeled off 85 straight wins. The Huskies have won each of their last nine games by double digits after opening this season with a 78-76 win at then-No. 12 Florida State. Auriemma also led the United States to an Olympic gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics with former Huskies Sue Bird, Tina Charles, Maya Moore, Diana Taurasi and Breanna Stewart making up nearly half of the U.S. roster. The 11-time national champion Huskies are riding one of the most amazing stretches of success in basketball history with four consecutive NCAA championships to their credit. Perhaps even more amazingly, UConn has advanced to nine consecutive NCAA Women’s Final Fours among its 17 overall trips to the Final Four under Auriemma. The last time UConn failed to advance to the Final Four, Nebraska Coach Amy Williams was in her final season as an assistant coach at Tulsa (2007). Since coming up short of winning the NCAA title in 2008, Auriemma has guided the Huskies to an astounding 308-12 record with six NCAA titles. Despite losing the only four-time NCAA Tournament MVP in history, Breanna Stewart, and All-Americans Moriah Jefferson and Morgan Tuck, the young Huskies have continued to fire on all cylinders early in 2016-17. Sophomores Katie Lou Sameulson (20.4 ppg, 4.3 rpg) and Napheesa Collier (20.2 ppg, 7.4 rpg) lead four Huskies averaging in double figures, including junior guard Kia Nurse (12.9 ppg, 2.2 rpg) and junior forward Gabby Williams (10.4 ppg, 8.1 rpg). Freshman Crystal Dangerfield, a 5-5 point guard out of Murfreesboro, Tenn., has started UConn’s past two games with senior point guard Saniya Chong (4.6 ppg, 1.5 rpg) sitting out after suffering a concussion. Dangerfield is averaging 7.0 points and 3.0 rebounds so far this season. UConn’s game with Nebraska will be its second in a three-game Big Ten swing. The Huskies defeated No. 12 Ohio State, 82-63 in Hartford, Conn., on Monday night before traveling to Lincoln. UConn concludes its Big Ten stretch by battling No. 4 Maryland in College Park on Thursday, Dec. 29. The game with Maryland will be UConn’s seventh against a top-15 opponent at game time in 12 pre-conference contests. UConn leads the all-time series with Nebraska 2-0, including an 88-46 win over the Huskers in Hartford on Nov. 28, 2015. Nebraska Coach Amy Williams was a senior on the 1997-98 Nebraska team that lost to UConn 71-61 in the Preseason WNIT Championship Game at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Conn., on Nov. 21, 1997. Williams played seven minutes off the bench against UConn.

HUSKERS TO HONOR OLYMPIAN PAGE Former Husker Danielle Page will be honored by the Nebraska Athletic Department during Wednesday’s game. Page, who was a four-year letterwinner at Nebraska from 2005 to 2008, became the first Husker basketball player in history to win a medal at the Rio Olympics in 2016. The 6-2 forward from Monument, Colo., captured a bronze medal as a member of the Serbian Olympic Team, helping her adopted country to its first-ever Olympic medal in women’s basketball. Page, who spent the 2008 WNBA season with the Connecticut Sun after making the roster as a free agent, is taking a year off from professional basketball overseas after undergoing knee surgery this fall. She has been one of the top players in France the past several years, and overall has spent eight professional seasons in Europe. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Page averaged 10.6 points and team bests with 6.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocked shots over eight games for Serbia. Page scored in double figures in six of Serbia’s eight games, including 10 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks in a win over France in the bronze-medal game on Aug. 20. During her career at Nebraska, Page made a name for herself as one of the top shot blockers in Husker history. She ranks No. 3 in NU history with 207 blocks, including a single-season school record 78 as a senior in 2007-08. As a senior, she ranked among the top 20 scorers and rebounders in the Big 12 with 12.0 points and 6.5 boards per game to earn honorable-mention All-Big 12 accolades. Page played a major role in leading Nebraska to back-to-back NCAA Tournament bids in 2007 and 2008.

She opened the season with 17 points and 15 rebounds in a win over UTRGV on Nov. 12. • Through 11 games, Shepard is averaging team bests of 19.4 points and 11.1 rebounds per game. She also has hit a team-best 13 three-pointers, including a game-clinching three with one minute left against Colorado State and a 60-footer at the first-half buzzer in the win over UTRGV. She added a first-half buzzer-beater at Creighton. The 6-4 sophomore forward had not hit a collegiate three-pointer prior to this season. • Shepard earned Preseason All-Big Ten honors when the conference announced its preseason awards on Oct. 24. Shepard was the lone sophomore honored by the media on its 10-player preseason team. • Shepard became the first freshman in Nebraska history to earn first-team all-conference honors. She produced school freshman-record averages of 18.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game in 2015-16. • Shepard became the first Husker in history to earn conference freshman-of-the-year accolades. The 6-4 forward from Fremont, Neb., joined Emily Cady (2012) and Rachel Theriot (2013) as Huskers who earned spots on the Big Ten All-Freshman Team in Nebraska’s first five seasons in the conference. • Shepard set a conference record by winning 10 Big Ten Freshman-of-the-Week awards.

HUSKERS ESTABLISHING SOLID STARTING FIVE • One of Coach Amy Williams’ primary objectives early in the season was to find a starting five from a relatively inexperienced group of Huskers. Only six players on Nebraska’s active roster have ever started a game for the Huskers, with four of them starting 20 or fewer contests. • Although Jessica Shepard is just a sophomore, she owns a team-high 40 career starts, including 29 in 31 games as a freshman. • A three-year contributor on the court, 6-5 senior Allie Havers adds 32 career starts to Nebraska’s level of experience in 2016-17. • Only three other returning Huskers had ever started a game for Nebraska before this season, including Jasmine Cincore (17), Esther Ramacieri (15) and Maddie Simon (5), while true freshman Nicea Eliely has made her first 11 career starts this season. Overall, Nebraska owns just 120 career starts. • Nebraska sent nine different starting lineups onto the floor in 2015-16. • The longest stretch Nebraska was able to play with a consistent starting five in 2015-16 was eight games (Game 2 vs. North Florida, Nov. 16 - Game 9 at California, Dec. 12). • Three times (2003-04, 2006-07, 2011-12) in the last 14 seasons, Nebraska’s starting five has hit the floor for every game together, and five more times the Huskers have only featured six different starters in a season (2005-06, 2007-08, 2009-10, 2012-13, 2013-14).

NEBRASKA RANKS NEAR TOP IN ATTENDANCE • Nebraska closed the 2015-16 season ranked No. 9 nationally in total attendance (102,682) and No. 12 in NCAA Division I in average home attendance (5,404). It marked the third consecutive season inside Pinnacle Bank Arena that the Big Red have ranked among the top 12 nationally in both categories. • In 59 all-time home games at Pinnacle Bank Arena, the Huskers own an impressive 47-12 record (.797 winning percentage) while averaging 5,681 fans per game (335,198 total fans/59 games).

BIG RED TO BATTLE ONE OF NATION’S BEST SCHEDULES • Nebraska will likely face the toughest overall schedule in school history in 2016-17. The Huskers will play 10 games against NCAA Tournament teams and 11 more regular-season games against Postseason WNIT teams in 2016-17. • Through Monday’s games, Nebraska’s 12 non-conference opponents owned a cumulative record of 88-41 (.682 winning percentage), including unbeaten records for No. 1 UConn (10-0), No. 23 Virginia Tech (11-0) and California (10-0). • Through Monday’s games, Nebraska’s Strength of Schedule ranked No. 27 by RPIRatings.com. NU’s schedule strength was No. 2 in the Big Ten, just ahead of No. 29 Iowa and trailing No. 4 Minnesota. However, that schedule strength does not include the Huskers’ upcoming game with RPI No. 1 UConn, which also owns the No. 1 SOS in the country. Both Minnesota and Iowa close non-conference play against RPI 231 Kent State, which carries the No. 296 Strength of Schedule. • Nebraska’s appearance in the 2016 Preseason WNIT to open the year featured three games against postseason foes, including NCAA Tournament teams Missouri and Colorado State. • Virginia, Virginia Tech, Drake and Creighton all competed in the 2016 WNIT and the Huskers will play three of those games on the road. Nebraska closes non-conference play at home against UConn, which has won four consecutive NCAA titles. • A total of 13 of Nebraska’s 16 Big Ten Conference games will come against postseason foes, including seven games against NCAA qualifiers and six more against WNIT teams from a year ago. • Nebraska’s 16-game regular-season home schedule will feature 13 games against postseason teams, including all eight Big Ten Conference home games.

NEBRASKA STREAKS • Nebraska senior Allie Havers has competed in 107 consecutive games since the first game of her freshman season in 2013-14. The Huskers own a 69-38 record in those contests over the last four years. • Junior Jasmine Cincore owns the longest streak of consecutive starts among the Huskers with 16. Havers has made 14 straight starts, while Esther Ramacieri has started 12 consecutive games dating back to the end of last season. • The Huskers have knocked down at least one three-pointer in 262 straight regular-season games dating back to a loss at UTEP on Dec. 20, 2008. • Nebraska has hit at least two three-pointers in 141 consecutive games. • Nebraska has had at least two players earn first- or second-team All-Big Ten honors in each of its first five seasons in the Big Ten. • Nebraska finished with a 9-9 Big Ten record to mark the fifth consecutive season the Huskers have posted a .500 or better Big Ten record. Nebraska is the only Big Ten team with a .500 or better record in each of the last five seasons. In fact, no other Big Ten team has had four straight .500 marks. The only other team with three straight .500 or better Big Ten seasons is Minnesota, which went 11-7 in both 2015 and 2016 after going 8-8 in 2014.

PUMP UP THE PROGRAM • Nebraska earned its fifth straight postseason tournament bid with a trip to the 2016 WNIT. The Huskers were one of only 21 Division I teams to earn four consecutive NCAA Tournament bids from 2012 through 2015. • The Huskers have produced seven 20-win seasons in the last 10 years. Nebraska owns 16 20-win seasons in program history. • Nebraska is the only team in the Big Ten to post a .500 or better conference mark in each of the last five years. Minnesota is the only other Big Ten team to do it each of the last three seasons. • The Huskers, who joined the Big Ten in 2011-12, have averaged 10.6 conference wins per season since joining the conference. The Big Red have added eight Big Ten Tournament wins for 61 total victories over Big Ten foes during the past five years (12.2 wins per season). • Nebraska has ranked among the top 12 schools nationally in average home attendance in each of the Huskers’ first three seasons at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Big Red have ranked among the top 10 nationally in total home attendance in each of the first three seasons at the arena, including 102,682 fans in 2015-16. • Nebraska set a season ticket sales record with 4,032 season tickets sold as of Jan. 31, 2016. It marked the first time in school history the Huskers sold 4,000 season tickets. Nebraska’s season ticket number for 2016-17 was 3,947 as of Nov. 1, 2016. • Nebraska featured six first-team academic All-Big Ten selections in 2015-16, including returning Huskers Jasmine Cincore, Allie Havers and Emily Wood.

HUSKERS TO LEARN DAY-BY-DAY, MINUTE-BY-MINUTE • First-year Nebraska Coach Amy Williams and her staff will try to guide an extremely inexperienced Husker team through the 2016-17 season. • Senior center Allie Havers was the most experienced Husker with 96 career games and 1,583 career minutes entering the season. Havers is the only active Husker who has played more than 1,000 collegiate minutes. In fact, she had played more minutes than senior guard Esther Ramacieri (282 minutes, 52

games), junior guard Jasmine Cincore (653 minutes, 51 games), junior guard Emily Wood (158 minutes, 31 games), sophomore guard Maddie Simon (299 minutes, 21 games) and sophomore forward Darrien Washington (39 minutes, 10 games) combined (1,331 minutes) entering the 2016-17 campaign. • Sophomore forward Jessica Shepard ranked second among active Huskers in career minutes with 884 entering the year. In all, Nebraska returns just 3,798 minutes of active collegiate experience, which ranks 11th in the Big Ten. Only Illinois (3,108), Wisconsin (2,985) and Rutgers (2,253) have fewer minutes of returning experience to their respective teams than Nebraska. • Nebraska’s returning players combined for just under 19 full 40-minute games of experience entering the season. • Northwestern has three seniors (Nia Coffey, Ashley Deary and Christen Inman) who each played more than 3,000 career minutes for the Wildcats, combining for 9,620 minutes entering the year. As a team, Northwestern returns 14,195 minutes on the court, which does not include 413 minutes for Oceana Hamilton who played two seasons at Alabama before transferring to Northwestern and sitting out 2015-16. • Indiana returns 10,671 minutes and that does not include 3,497 minutes from transfers Amber Deane (2,697, Dayton) and Tia Elbert (800, Marquette) who are both eligible to play this year for the Hoosiers. • Michigan senior guard Sierra Thompson played 3,517 career minutes entering 2016-17, while Iowa senior Ally Disterhoft played 3,346. Northwestern’s Ashley Deary (3,319), Nia Coffey (3,231) and Christen Inman (3,070) join Michigan State’s Tori Jankoska (3,209) as the six returning players in the Big Ten who have played more than 3,000 career minutes entering the season.

SHEPARD SETS BIG RED RECORDS AS FRESHMAN • Jessica Shepard set a Nebraska freshman record with 574 points, shattering Debra Powell’s previous NU freshman mark of 461 (1981-82) by 113 points. Shepard’s 18.5 points per game smashed Powell’s Husker freshman mark of 15.4 points per game. • Shepard’s 8.6 rebounds per game broke Powell’s previous Nebraska freshman mark of 7.6 per game (1981-82). With 266 total rebounds, Shepard finished 11 shy of Kathy Hagerstrom’s freshman mark of 277 (1979-80). Shepard amassed her rebounds in 31 games. Hagerstrom pulled down her 277 in 40 games. • Shepard produced one of the best individual performances in Nebraska history with a freshman-record 35 points to go along with 20 rebounds in a win at Michigan on Jan. 24. It is the only 30-point/20-rebound performance in Nebraska women’s basketball history. • Shepard owns the Nebraska freshman record with 10 double-doubles. She had six double-doubles in Big Ten play. She is just the eighth Husker in history to produce 10 double-doubles in a season. • Shepard’s 228 made field goals were a Nebraska freshman record. • Her 203 free throw attempts set the Nebraska freshman record in that category in 2015-16. • Shepard’s 20 free throw attempts against Northern Arizona (Dec. 19) were the most by any Husker in a game in history, regardless of class. • Shepard produced a record-setting regular-season debut with 24 points and 13 rebounds against Arkansas Pine Bluff Nov. 14, 2015. She became the first freshman in history to notch a double-double in an opener and her 24 points and 13 rebounds were the most by an NU freshman in a season opener.

SHEPARD SHOOTS FOR MORE AS SOPHOMORE • Jessica Shepard has her sophomore season off to a strong start averaging 19.4 points and 11.1 rebounds per game. She has produced six double-doubles, including 22 points and 11 rebounds against Creighton (Dec. 18). That followed a season-high 28 points and 14 rebounds against San Jose State (Dec. 9), 23 points and a season-high 16 rebounds against Drake (Dec. 6), 25 points and 14 rebounds at Virginia Tech (Dec. 1), 24 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Colorado State (Nov. 17), and 17 points and 15 boards in a win over UTRGV (Nov. 12). • Shepard owns 16 career double-doubles to rank 10th on Nebraska’s career chart in that category. • Shepard has six 20-point efforts this season, including a season-high 28 points in the win over San Jose State (Dec. 9). She had 25 points at Virginia Tech (Dec. 1) and against Washington State (Nov. 25). She scored 24 points against Colorado State (Nov. 17), before going for 23 points, including 22 in the second half, against Drake (Dec. 6). Shepard owns 22 career 20-point games in her first 42 games as a Husker. • Shepard leads the Huskers with 13 three-pointers on the season, including a game-clinching three in the win over Colorado State and a buzzer-beating 60-footer to close the first half in the win over UTRGV. She also hit a first-half buzzer-beater at Creighton. Shepard did not hit a three-pointer as a freshman. • Nebraska’s first Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Shepard became the first Husker in history to earn first-team all-conference honors as a freshman in 2015-16. During the season, she set a conference record by winning 10 Big Ten Freshman-of-the-Week awards. She was also a two-time Big Ten Player of the Week (Dec. 21, Jan. 25). • One of only two freshmen on the Naismith Trophy Midseason Top 30 in 2015-16 (joining Cal’s Kristine Anigwe), Shepard was the USBWA National Freshman of the Week (Dec. 22, 2015; Jan. 26, 2016). Shepard was the espnW and College Sports Madness National Player of the Week (Jan. 25). • Shepard finished 10th overall in the Big Ten in scoring (18.5 ppg) and fifth in rebounding (8.6 rpg), including fourth on the offensive glass (3.1 rpg) and 10th on the defensive boards (5.5 rpg). • The 6-4 forward from Fremont, Neb., finished with Nebraska freshman record averages of 18.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Her 574 total points were a Nebraska freshman record, while her 266 rebounds ranked second among freshmen in Husker history. • She amassed 16 games with 20 or more points as a freshman, including 11 in Big Ten play. She produced the first of two 35-point performances against Northern Arizona Dec. 19, 2015. She added 35 points at Michigan, Jan. 24. She scored in double figures 25 times. • Shepard averaged just 4.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in 20 minutes per game over the final two games of 2015-16 as she battled a stress reaction in her foot. She did not practice March 1-17, while she rested the injury. • Shepard was not cleared for her first full practice until Oct. 27, 2015, after suffering an ACL tear as a high school senior on Dec. 29, 2014. HAVERS LOOKED TO FOR SENIOR LEADERSHIP • One of the tallest Huskers in history, 6-5 center Allie Havers will be looked to for senior leadership in 2016-17. She got her senior season off to a solid start with 10 points and seven rebounds in the WNIT first-round victory over UTRGV on Nov. 12. She added a season-high 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor against Drake on Dec. 6 for her second double-figure scoring performance of the season. • The senior from Mattawan, Mich., is the most experienced active Husker, competing in 107 career games with 32 starts. In fact, senior Esther Ramacieri (63) and junior Jasmine Cincore (62) are the only other Huskers who have played in more than 50 career games. • Havers grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds in a win over Omaha on Nov. 22. She added nine points against the Mavs. • She tied her career high with five assists in Nebraska’s win over Colorado State on Nov. 17. • Havers, who was a freshman on Nebraska’s 2014 Big Ten Championship team and helped the Huskers to NCAA Tournament appearances in her first two seasons in Lincoln, will need to draw on her experience to help an extremely young Husker squad with a group of first-year coaches this season. • Last season, Havers stepped into the starting lineup and stepped up her production as a junior. • Havers tied for 15th in the Big Ten with 6.6 rebounds per game, while her 1.0 blocked shots per game tied for 14th in the conference. • Her scoring numbers increased throughout the season, finishing at 8.3 points per game - her highest average at any point during the season. Over the final five games, Havers averaged 13.0 points and 6.8 rebounds while hitting 70.7 percent of her shots from the field in 27.8 minutes per game. In the first five games of 2015-16, Havers averaged just 4.6 points and 6.0 rebounds in 16.8 minutes per game, while hitting just 36 percent of her shots from the floor. • Havers scored in double figures 11 times as a junior, including each of the final five games of the season. She has 19 career double-figure scoring efforts, including a career-high 18 points at California on Dec. 12, 2015. • She owns seven career double-figure rebound games, including a career-high 14 against Wisconsin on Jan. 27, 2016, and 11 in a win over Omaha on Nov. 22, 2016. She had 10 boards at Virginia Tech (Dec. 1). Havers notched four double-doubles in 2015-16, including back-to-back games against Northwestern (Feb. 28) and Rutgers (March 3). • Havers also stepped up her passing production in 2015-16, totaling 34 assists in 31 after managing just 21 assists in the first 65 games of her career. • Havers added her second academic All-Big Ten award for the Huskers in 2016.

HOMEGROWN HUSKERS AT HEART OF NEBRASKA • Nebraska’s 11-player active roster features a trio of Huskers who combined forces to win the last four Nebraska Gatorade High School Player-of-the-Year honors. Sophomore Jessica Shepard claimed state high school honors in 2013 and 2014, before fellow Husker sophomore Maddie Simon earned state player-of-the-year accolades as a senior at Lincoln Pius X High School in 2015. Shepard’s high school teammate, freshman Rylie Cascio Jensen, was named the state player of the year at Fremont High School in 2016. • Shepard, a two-time state high school player of the year (2013, 2014), earned Big Ten Freshman-of-the-Year honors as a Husker in 2015-16. The graduate of Fremont High School started 29 games for the Big Red as a freshman and averaged team highs and Husker freshman records of 18.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. • Simon opened 2016-17 with six points and a career-high matching seven rebounds off the bench in Nebraska’s win over UTRGV on Nov. 12. She is averaging 4.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game off the bench early this season. Simon had a season-high 11 points against California on Dec. 4. • She started Nebraska’s final four regular-season games in 2015-16, before missing the Postseason WNIT with a severe ankle sprain suffered in practice on March 14. The 6-2 guard out of Pius X High School in Lincoln also started the season opener for the Huskers on Nov. 14. In five games as a starter, Simon

averaged 7.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 23.8 minutes per game. For the season, she averaged 5.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 14.2 minutes over 21 contests. • In her last two games of 2015-16, Simon averaged 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.0 assist, while hitting 9-of-16 shots from the floor, including 4-of-9 threes. She had career highs of 16 points and seven rebounds in Nebraska’s win over Northwestern on Feb. 28. She also hit a career-high three three-pointers against the Wildcats. Simon notched three double-figure scoring performances on the season. • Over her last seven games of 2015-16, Simon hit 8-of-19 (.421) of her three-point attempts, finishing at 12-for-35 (.343) on the season. • Simon missed 10 games, primarily because of injuries, in 2015-16. She suffered a broken left (non-shooting) arm in a non-basketball accident on Dec. 7, 2015. She also suffered a strain in her right arm in the same fall, and a severe ankle sprain in practice before the 2016 Postseason WNIT. • The 2015 Nebraska High School Player of the Year, Simon was a two-time first-team Super-State selection while leading Lincoln Pius X to the 2015 Class B state championship. She was the No. 149 player in the nation according to Blue Star and the No. 22 guard by ESPN in 2015. A tremendous all-around athlete, Simon won the Class A 100- and 300-meter hurdles championships at the 2015 Nebraska State Track & Field Championships. • Her mother, Nicole Ali Simon, was a CoSIDA Academic All-American as a member of Coach Gary Pepin’s national champion Huskers in 1983 and 1984. • Cascio Jensen scored the first points of her collegiate career with a pair of three-pointers in Nebraska’s win over Omaha on Nov. 22. She is averaging 2.4 points and 1.1 assists off the bench through her first 11 games as a freshman. • Cascio Jensen averaged 22.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.6 steals to lead Fremont High School to the Class A quarterfinals as a senior in 2015-16. The 5-10 guard hit 40.7 percent of her three-point attempts and 78.2 percent of her free throws, including a Class A state record 34 straight free throws as a senior. • As a junior in 2014-15, Cascio Jensen averaged 19.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists. She led Fremont to the district final despite the loss of Shepard in December to an ACL tear. At the time of her injury, Shepard was averaging 33.0 points and 14.3 rebounds per game.

CINCORE BUILDING ON STRONG FINISH TO 2015-16 • Jasmine Cincore emerged as a reliable and consistent contributor at both ends of the court throughout her sophomore season. One of five Huskers to play in all 31 games in 2015-16, Cincore made six starts in place of injured All-American Rachel Theriot, including five straight to close the campaign. • Cincore has started each of Nebraska’s first 11 games this season and ranks third on the team in scoring (6.2 ppg), and second in assists (2.5 apg) and steals (1.3 spg). • Cincore opened 2016-17 with nine points and four rebounds in a win over UTRGV on Nov. 12. She added nine points on 4-of-5 shooting with a three-pointer in the win over Colorado State on Nov. 17. She also contributed nine points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals at Virginia Tech on Dec. 1. • She doubled her previous career total in blocks (4) by swatting a career-high four blocks against Drake on Dec. 6. Her block total against the Bulldogs is the highest single-game mark of any active Husker. • As a starter in 2015-16, Cincore averaged 7.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals in 35.5 minutes per game for the Huskers. • The 5-10 guard from Arlington, Tenn., averaged 4.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 18 minutes per game in 2015-16. • Cincore produced the first double-digit scoring effort of her career with 16 points in a career-high 38 minutes against Indiana on Feb. 24. She closed the 2015-16 season with 10 points and a career-high-tying four rebounds to go along with three assists against Northern Iowa in the WNIT on March 17. • A two-time Tennessee Class 2-AA Player of the Year (2013, 2014), Cincore made her first career start in her 39th career game in Nebraska’s 93-81 win at Michigan Jan. 24. She had eight points, three assists, a block and a steal in 32 minutes against the Wolverines. She had nine points and a pair of threes at No. 5 Ohio State on Feb. 21, and nine points at No. 8 Maryland on Jan. 7. • Cincore earned academic All-Big Ten honors for the first time in 2016.

FORMER WALK-ON WOOD CONTRIBUTING AT GUARD • Emily Wood challenged for a starting role in the Husker backcourt and has provided important contributions off the bench early in her junior season at Nebraska. The 5-5 guard from Salina, Kan., originally came to Lincoln as a walk-on, before earning a scholarship prior to her sophomore season in 2015-16. • Wood earned a start in Nebraska’s exhibition win over Southwest Baptist on Nov. 6. She came off the bench to score three points while tying a career high with three rebounds in the Huskers’ regular-season opening victory over UTRGV on Nov. 12. • Wood scored a career-high eight points - all in the first half - in Nebraska’s loss at Virginia Tech on Dec. 1. She put up the first five points of a 23-4 surge that allowed the Huskers to build a 16-point first-half lead against the Hokies. • She scored seven points and matched her career high with two steals in Nebraska’s win over San Jose State on Dec. 9. • She came up with a crucial offensive rebound late in the game against Colorado State that led to Ram post player Amanda Kantzy fouling out. Wood hit both free throws with 3:38 left to give NU a 55-52 lead over CSU in a game the Huskers won 62-59.

• As a sophomore, Wood competed in 21 of Nebraska’s 32 games, including 11 of 18 Big Ten contests. She averaged 1.4 points and 0.8 rebounds. • Wood has proven herself as a smart, tough, consistent and hard-working player. She owns a 2.7-to-1 career assist-to-turnover (19-to-7) ratio and has committed just three turnovers this season. • Wood also has proven to be a reliable three-point threat, knocking down 15-of-42 (.357) of her career three-point attempts, including 7-of-19 (.368) as a junior and 8-of-18 (.444) as a sophomore. • A star off the court, Wood was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and an academic All-Big Ten selection in 2016. She also earned a prestigious Nebraska Student-Athlete HERO Leadership Award in 2016, and is a two-time Tom Osborne Citizenship Team selection (2015, 2016). • In May of 2016, Wood participated in Nebraska’s second annual Service Trip Abroad, joining 19 other Husker student-athletes across all sports in an outreach journey to the Dominican Republic. • Wood participated in the NCAA Career in Sports Forum in 2015. • Wood was a Kansas Class 5A all-state selection at Salina Central High School. She averaged 16.0 points per game while hitting a school-record 91 three-pointers as a senior. Her 223 career threes were also a school record.

FRESHMEN CONTRIBUTING EARLYRYLIE CASCIO JENSEN, 5-10, GUARD, FREMONT, NEB. • Nebraska’s four-player freshman class of Rylie Cascio Jensen, Nicea Eliely, Grace Mitchell and Hannah Whitish have been looked to for immediate contributions on the Huskers’ 11-player active roster. • Cascio Jensen, a 5-10 guard from Fremont High School, was the 2016 Nebraska High School Player of the Year. She averaged 22.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.6 steals per game for the Tigers. • She is averaging 2.4 points and 1.6 assists in 13.9 minutes per game this season. • Cascio Jensen had season highs with six points and two three-pointers in wins over both Omaha (Nov. 22) and San Jose State (Dec. 9).

NICEA ELIELY, 6-1, GUARD, COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. • Eliely, a 6-1 guard out of Rampart High School in Colorado Springs, has started all 11 games and is averaging 8.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.7 steals per game. • Eliely produced a career-high 19-point performance in a loss to California on Dec. 4. She hit 8-of-13 shots from the field including 2-of-3 three-pointers against the Bears. She added two rebounds, two assists and two steals. • She added her second career double-figure scoring effort with 13 points to go along with seven rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block in a win over San Jose State on Dec. 9. She hit 6-of-9 shots from the field against the Spartans. • She earned her first career start in Nebraska’s season-opening win over UTRGV on Nov. 12. Eliely performed well with nine points, two rebounds, four assists and two steals against the Vaqueros, while also drawing the primary defensive assignment on 2016 WAC Player-of-the-Year Shawnte’ Goff. • Eliely played Nebraska’s best all-around game in the loss to No. 25 Missouri on Nov. 14. She finished with eight points, eight rebounds, two assists and a steal against the Tigers. She also hit her first career three-pointer against the Tigers. • She was even better in Nebraska’s win over Colorado State, contributing six points, six rebounds and a career-high six assists to go along with three steals. She also helped frustrate and foul out 2016 Mountain West Conference Player of the Year Ellen Nystrom. • Eliely added nine points, six rebounds, two assists and a career-high four steals in Nebraska’s win over Omaha on Nov. 22. She scored nine more points while adding three rebounds, a block and a steal at Virginia Tech on Dec. 1. • Eliely was a Colorado Class 5A performer as a senior in 2015-16. Ranked as the No. 25 guard in the nation by ESPN and the No. 143 player in the nation by Blue Star, Eliely averaged 21.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 3.4 steals and 2.0 blocks per game as a senior for the Rams.

HANNAH WHITISH, 5-9, GUARD, BARNEVELD, WIS. • Whitish, a 5-9 guard from Barneveld, Wis., was the Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year after averaging 24.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 4.5 steals as a senior. The five-time first-team All-Wisconsin selection led Barneveld High School to four consecutive state championship game appearances including a pair of state titles. She led her team to a 110-4 record in her career, while ranking among the top 10 in Wisconsin High School history in career points with well over 2,000. • Whitish has been Nebraska’s top contributor off the bench through 11 games with 5.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 16.7 minutes per contest. • In her Husker debut, Whitish scored seven points on 3-of-4 shooting with a three-pointer, while adding two assists, one steal and no turnovers in the win over UTRGV on Nov. 12. • After struggling against Missouri, Whitish played a huge role in Nebraska’s win over Colorado State, finishing with her first career double-figure scoring performance. Her 10-point effort in the win over the Rams included a career-high three three-pointers with the final triple coming on a cast from the deep left wing with one second on the shot clock to give Nebraska a 58-55 lead with 1:48 left. She added a free throw with 18 seconds left to seal the 62-59 win. • Whitish added her second straight double-figure scoring performance with 10 points and career highs of five assists and two steals in Nebraska’s win over Omaha on Nov. 22.

GRACE MITCHELL, 6-2, FORWARD/GUARD, WELLINGTON, KAN. • Mitchell, a 6-2 forward/guard, was the Kansas Player of the Year as selected by USA Today High School Sports. She averaged 21.7 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.7 blocks as a senior at Wellington High School. She also hit 48 percent of her three-pointers while setting a single-season school record with 533 points on her way to Kansas Class 4A Player-of-the-Year honors. She was ranked as the No. 51 wing in the nation by ESPN. • Mitchell has averaged 1.8 points and 1.8 rebounds in 9.8 minutes per game this season. She produced a career-high seven-point effort against Drake on Dec. 6. Mitchell scored five points and had the first two steals of her career during a 15-5 Husker surge in the second quarter that helped send the Big Red to halftime with a 33-32 lead over the Bulldogs. • Mitchell hit the first three-pointer of her career in the second quarter against Drake. • She scored two points and grabbed two rebounds off the bench in her Husker debut against UTRGV, and added an important putback in Nebraska’s 62-59 win over Colorado State on Nov. 17.

BLACKBURN TO REDSHIRT AFTER SURGERIES • Sophomore Rachel Blackburn will redshirt during the 2016-17 season after undergoing season-ending surgery on her knees on Oct. 4, 2016. • The 6-3 forward from Leavenworth, Kan., averaged 6.3 points and 7.6 rebounds in nearly 24 minutes per contest in Nebraska’s first nine games as a true freshman in 2015-16. She was limited greatly in both practice and games in NU’s final 23 contests last season, missing seven games entirely, while averaging just 13 minutes per contest in 16 games the rest of the way. She averaged just 2.4 points and 4.0 boards in those games, while being limited by chronic knee pain. • Blackburn underwent knee surgery soon after the 2015-16 season and was hoping to contribute in 2016-17. However, she continued to be limited during the summer and elected to try another procedure to alleviate knee pain this fall.

HUSKERS SIGN TAYLOR KISSINGER FOR 2017-18 • The top-ranked high school recruit in the state of Nebraska, Taylor Kissinger signed her National Letter of Intent to join the Nebraska women’s basketball team for the 2017-18 season on the first day of the fall signing period on Nov. 9. • Kissinger, a 6-1 forward/guard from Minden, was ranked as the No. 26 player in the nation by Prospects Nation and continued to climb in the national player rankings after a strong summer of 2016. She is ranked as the No. 40 player in the nation by ESPN and No. 58 by Blue Star Basketball. Kissinger is the only prep player from the state of Nebraska ranked among the nation’s top 100 recruits in the 2017 signing class. • Kissinger earned a spot on the 2017 Naismith Trophy High School Girls Preseason Player-of-the-Year Watch List, announced on Nov. 16. • She was also one of five Nebraska players on the 2016 USA Today High School Sports All-Nebraska team in 2015-16, joining future Husker teammate and 2016 Nebraska Gatorade Player of the Year Rylie Cascio Jensen. • Kissinger, who missed nearly half of her junior season at Minden High School with a broken wrist in 2015-16, averaged 28.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game for the Whippets following her return to the court. She earned second-team Super-State honors as a junior and is a two-time first-team Class C-1 all-stater (2015, 2016). • In 2015, Kissinger became the first sophomore in history to be named the Kearney Hub Territory Player of the Year after averaging 25.6 points and 10.0 rebounds per game while hitting 62 three-pointers. She was also a third-team All-Nebraska selection as a sophomore in 2015. • Kissinger claimed second-team Class C-1 all-state honors as a freshman in 2014 after averaging 16.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. She also tied a Nebraska state tournament record by knocking down seven three-pointers in an opening-round win over Lincoln Lutheran. • Kissinger’s older twin sisters are both Division I guards, with Brooke entering her first season at Creighton after spending her first two seasons at Illinois, and Jamie entering her third season at San Diego. • Taylor Kissinger, who played her club basketball last season for the All-Iowa Attack after previously playing for the Cornhusker Shooting Stars, also was invited to compete in the USA Basketball U16 National Team Trials in Colorado Springs. She chose Nebraska over Oklahoma State and Creighton. She also received offers from Arizona State, Louisville, Iowa, Iowa State and Illinois among others. • Kissinger’s parents, Brian and Amy, were both collegiate student-athletes, with Brian playing basketball and Amy playing volleyball at NCAA Division II Nebraska-Kearney. Taylor’s brother Derek played college basketball at NAIA Hastings College.

PAIR OF TRANSFERS PREPARING FOR 2017-18 • Nebraska added a pair of NCAA Division I transfers following the hiring of Coach Amy Williams in April of 2016. Senior Janay Morton (Eastern Michigan) and sophomore Bria Stallworth (UMass) both elected to leave their former schools after coaching changes at their schools. • Morton, a 5-10 guard from Brooklyn Park, Minn., was a third-team All-Mid-American Conference selection in 2015-16. She was also a member of the 2016 MAC All-Defensive Team, and she was chosen to the MAC All-Freshman Team in 2014. • In Morton’s three seasons at EMU, she amassed 1,341 points, 364 rebounds, 249 assists and 223

She also led the MAC with 96 steals. • Stallworth, a 5-6 guard from Chicago, Ill., earned a spot on the Atlantic 10 Conference All-Rookie Team after leading all A-10 freshmen in scoring (13.1 ppg) and assists (3.8 apg). She also hit 35.1 percent of her three-pointers. • Stallworth was ranked as the No. 33 point guard in the nation ESPN as a senior at Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Illinois.

NEBRASKA’S HISTORY OF HOME SUCCESS • Nebraska opened 2016-17 with a 71-53 win over UTRGV for its 11th consecutive season-opening win at home. The Huskers went 15-4 at Pinnacle Bank Arena in 2015-16 after going 12-3 (13-3 at home) in 2014-15. The Huskers are 47-12 (.797) all-time at Pinnacle Bank Arena since the building opened for the 2013-14 campaign. The Big Red went 16-2 at home in 2013-14, suffering their only Big Ten loss to Purdue, 77-75, on Jan. 19, 2014. Nebraska’s 16 home wins in 2013-14 tied the school record for single-season home victories. • The Huskers played the first regular-season basketball game in the history of the arena against USA Today No. 25 UCLA (Nov. 8, 2013) and rolled to a 77-49 win over the Bruins. NU’s first win over an AP Top 25 team came with a 76-56 win over No. 24 Michigan State on Feb. 8, 2014. The Huskers added their first-ever win over an AP Top 10 team at the arena with a 94-74 victory over No. 8 Penn State on Feb. 24, 2014 • NU won its first-ever Big Ten home game with a 66-65 thriller over Northwestern Jan. 2, 2014, before an 88-85 win over Minnesota on Jan. 16, 2014, marked the first overtime game in Pinnacle Bank Arena history. • NU suffered its first loss at the arena to Washington State (76-72) on Nov. 30, 2013. • The Huskers are 436-142 (.754) all-time at home. The Huskers have gone 172-46 (.789) over the last 14 seasons, posting double-figure home victory totals in each of the last 13 years. • Nebraska played in the Devaney Center from 1976-77 through 2012-13, and added one appearance at Devaney against Utah on Nov. 23, 2014. The Huskers own a 389-130 record at the Devaney Center, including 146-88 (.624) mark in conference play.

Women’s basketball play-by-play announcer Matt Coatney and color commentator Jeff Griesch are teaming up for their 16th season together as the Huskers’ broadcast team. The Husker Sports Network and Nebraska women’s basketball have teamed up for well over a decade to take every game, home and away, around the world for free on Huskers.com. In addition to carrying every women’s basketball game free on Huskers.com, the Husker Sports Network flagship stations B107.3 FM-KBBK (Lincoln) and ESPN 590 AM-KXSP (Omaha) provide strong signals for Husker women’s basketball. When a network conflict occurs in Omaha, the Huskers also could be heard on CD105.9 FM-KKCD. 880-AM-KRVN (Lexington) also provides a huge AM signal statewide in central Nebraska, while more than 20 stations carry the Husker Sports Network’s women’s basketball coverage across the state and the Midwest. Inside Pinnacle Bank Arena, fans can access the direct radio call of the game at 87.7 FM.

HUSKERS MORE THAN FAIR IN FOUL DEPARTMENT The Huskers committed 14.5 fouls per game, which ranked 24th nationally in 2015-16. Nebraska’s 451 fouls ranked as the fifth-fewest in school history. NU was whistled for a season-low six fouls against Creighton Dec. 6. The Huskers ended 2014-15 ranked No. 5 in the final NCAA Division I statistics for fewest personal fouls per game. Nebraska committed just 13.2 fouls per game, including a school-record four fouls in the win over Bakersfield Dec. 13. Nebraska’s 422 total fouls in 2014-15 were the fewest in school history. In 2013-14, NU led the Big Ten and ranked second nationally by committing just 13.1 fouls per game. Nebraska continued a non-fouling trend from 2012-13. The Huskers were whistled for a school-record 12.8 fouls per game in 2012-13, including 11 fouls per game in Big Ten regular-season games. In Nebraska’s loss at No. 22 California on Dec. 12, 2015, the Huskers were whistled for 23 fouls, which marked the highest foul total by an NU team since registering 26 fouls in the season opener against Arkansas Pine Bluff on Nov. 12, 2011. That was the only other time in the previous 222 games that the Huskers had been called for 23 or more fouls. Nebraska’s 11-foul differential at Cal was even more rare. In fact, it tied for the second-worst foul differential in the last 15 years at Nebraska, a span of 453 games, before NU’s minus-13 foul differential (22-9) in a loss at Virginia Tech on Dec. 1, 2016. The only other game that was worse than the minus-11 at Cal last year came with minus-12 (21-9) at Iowa State on Jan. 14, 2006 - 318 games earlier. Only five times in the last 457 games has Nebraska experienced a negative double-digit foul differential. The Huskers have produced positive double-digit foul differentials in 13 of the past 107 games and 29 times in the last 457 games, with the most recent coming in a plus-11 (22-11) foul differential in the win over Colorado State on Nov. 17, 2016. The Huskers also produced positive double-digit foul differentials in back-to-back games against Northern Arizona (+12, 27-15) on Dec. 19, 2015, and Arkansas State (+10, 21-11)on Dec. 21, 2015.

NEBRASKA POSTS 12TH STRAIGHT PERFECT GSR In the eyes of the NCAA’s Division I Graduation Success Rate (GSR), the Husker women’s basketball program has been perfect for 12 consecutive years. Nebraska is the only program among the 14 Big Ten Conference schools to accomplish the perfect score for 12 straight years. The NCAA announced the release of its annual Graduation Success Rate report on Nov. 15, 2016, and Nebraska was a national leader in women’s basketball for the 12th straight season (2004-05). The Nebraska women’s basketball program joins the Husker women’s tennis and volleyball programs as Husker teams that have produced perfect 100 percent rates each of the last 12 years.

NEBRASKA OVERTIME FACTS • Nebraska is 20-20 all-time in overtime games, including 11-9 at home, 6-8 in true road games and 3-3 on neutral courts in overtime. The Huskers were 0-1 in overtime in 2015-16, with an 87-80 loss at No. 22 California on Dec. 12. • Nebraska is 1-0 in overtime games at Pinnacle Bank Arena. • Nebraska is 4-1 in multi-overtime games, including 2-1 since 2005-06. The lone loss came to Purdue in the Big Ten Championship Game, 74-70 in double-overtime in 2012. • NU’s last overtime win came with a 71-70 victory at Wisconsin on Feb. 5, 2014. The Huskers also defeated Minnesota 88-85 in overtime on Jan. 16, 2014. It marked the first overtime game in the history of Pinnacle Bank Arena. Nebraska’s first overtime game in the history of the Bob Devaney Sports Center also came against Minnesota - a 68-67 win for the Huskers on Dec. 30, 1977. • The Huskers have played 10 all-time overtime games against Big Ten opponents and own a 4-6 record. NU is 3-3 against Big Ten opponents since joining the conference for the start of the 2011-12 season. • Nebraska’s most frequent overtime opponent is Purdue. The Huskers and Boilermakers have played three overtime games in nine all-time meetings. NU’s six total overtimes against Purdue are the most against any team in school history. • In 13 all-time games with Wisconsin, the Huskers have played three overtime contests, including the 71-70 win over the Badgers on Feb. 5. It was NU’s first OT win against UW. The Huskers also battled Missouri in three single-overtime games among the 71 all-time contests in that series. • Nebraska has never played back-to-back overtime games at home. The Huskers have played back-to-back overtime games only once in school history, an 83-81 loss to Texas A&M in College Station on Dec. 30, 1985, before returning to Lincoln for an 80-75 win over Eastern Kentucky at the Devaney Center on Jan. 2, 1986.

Game Highlights: Jessica Shepard posted her 11th career double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds to power Nebraska to a 71-53 victory over the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in the opening round of the Preseason WNIT at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Shepard, a preseason All-Big Ten choice, also knocked down the first two three-pointers of her career including a 60-foot one-handed runner at the halftime buzzer. Game Highlights: Nebraska struggled through one of the worst shooting nights in school history in a 55-35 loss to No. 25 Missouri in the second round of the Preseason WNIT. The Huskers, who were held to a tie for the second-lowest scoring total in school history, hit just 10-of-63 shots (.159) from the field, including 6-of-31 threes (.194). Nebraska also went just 9-for-17 (.529) at the free throw line. The Huskers led 9-7 midway through the first quarter before Missouri scored the final nine points of the period to take a 16-9 lead. The Huskers were just 3-for-22 in the first, including 0-for-11 from two-point range. NU’s struggles continued in the second, as Missouri capped a 16-0 run by holding the Huskers scoreless for more than seven minutes. Game Highlights: Nebraska led by 16 points midway through the second quarter, but unbeaten Virginia Tech rallied to take a fourth-quarter lead on its way to a 76-67 victory at Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg, Va. Nebraska’s first true road game of the season came as part of the 10th annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Huskers trailed 10-6 midway through the first quarter before erupting on a 23-4 outburst with all the points coming from Nicea Eliely, Emily Wood and Jessica Shepard in an eight-minute span. Wood started the surge with five straight points on her way to a career-high eight points - all coming in the stretch. Eliely tied her career high with nine points in the stretch, including seven straight early in the second quarter. Shepard, who finished with 25 points and 14 rebounds for her 13th career double-double, added six points during the surge. The Huskers turned a 10-6 deficit into a 29-14 advantage and built a 16-point lead on three occasions before taking a 39-29 edge to the half. Virginia Tech cut the margin to 56-55 at the end of three quarters.

Game Highlights: Creighton tied a Nebraska opponent record by knocking down 15 three-pointers on its way to an 80-64 win over the Huskers at D.J. Sokol Arena. Marissa Janning, the 2014 BIG EAST Player of the Year, connected on 7-of-11 threes on her way to 22 points. She added nine assists to lead the Jays, who outscored the Huskers 54-27 in the second and third quarters combined. FRESHMAN (2016-17) Nebraska Gatorade High School Player-of-the-Year Rylie Cascio Jensen (pronounced CASH-ee-O) was a late addition to the Husker program after the April hiring of Coach Amy Williams. Cascio Jensen, a 5-10 guard out of Fremont High School, has appeared in all 11 games for the Huskers, averaging 2.4 points and 1.6 assists per game. She played the best game of her young career with six points, two rebounds and three assists in the win over San Jose State on Dec. 9. She followed it up with two points and career highs of five assists and four rebounds in the loss at Creighton on Dec. 18. Cascio Jensen also had six points in a win over Omaha on Nov. 22, when she hit a pair of second-half threes. She also grabbed the first two steals of her career against the Mavs. She scored three points and dished out three assists in each of Nebraska’s games at the South Point Shootout in Las Vegas, Nov. 25-26. She added three points on her only shot attempt, while adding two assists against California on Dec. 4. As a senior at Fremont High School, Cascio Jensen averaged 22.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.6 steals per game. “Rylie is a Nebraska native that understands the pride in wearing a Husker jersey,” Nebraska Coach Amy Williams said. “She is a good shooter and a

smart basketball player and we are glad to have her on our roster.”

BEFORE NEBRASKA Cascio Jensen earned Gatorade Nebraska High School Player-of-the-Year honors as a senior in 2015-16 after averaging 22.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.6 steals per game for Fremont High School. She led the Tigers to the state tournament as a senior, as Fremont finished with a 21-7 record. Cascio Jensen transferred to Fremont prior to her sophomore season to begin playing with 2013 and 2014 Gatorade Nebraska High School Player of the Year and current Husker Jessica Shepard. Cascio Jensen, who was a club teammate of Shepard’s beginning in fourth grade, spent her freshman season at Bellevue East, while Shepard played for Lincoln Southeast as a freshman and sophomore. Cascio Jensen and Shepard led an instant turnaround in the Tiger program, as Fremont earned a state tournament berth and finished with a 22-4 record in 2013-14. Fremont went 8-16 in 2012-13, before the arrival of Cascio Jensen and Shepard. As a sophomore, Cascio Jensen earned honorable-mention Class A all-state accolades, before adding second-team All-Nebraska and second-team Class A honors as a junior in 2014-15. Cascio Jensen became the focal point of the Fremont attack as a junior in 2014-15, after Shepard was sidelined by an ACL tear in December of 2014. Although Shepard was averaging 33.0 points and 14.3 rebounds prior to injury, Cascio Jensen stepped up to lead the Tigers to a 16-7 record, finishing just one game short of a second straight Class A state tournament bid. Cascio Jensen closed the season by averaging 19.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists.

PERSONAL The daughter of Scott and Robyn Cascio Jensen, Rylie Cascio Jensen was born March 2, 1998. She plans

to be a pre-med major at Nebraska with the ultimate goal of being an orthodontist. She was the Fremont Optimist Club Student of the Year in 2015-16, and she was also named Fremont’s Business Student of the Year. She maintained nearly a 3.9 GPA in high school and was a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society. Cascio Jensen came to Nebraska after originally signing with South Dakota. She also was recruited heavily by Wyoming, Wake Forest and Drake among others. “I just think Coach Williams builds great relationships with her players,” Cascio Jensen said. “You know she’s going to fight for you on the floor. I grew up going to Husker games and following the team. With Coach Williams going there, everything just fell into place.”

FRESHMAN (2016-17) Hannah Whitish (pronounced WHITE-ish) was a unanimous first-team Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) all-state selection as a junior and senior at Barneveld High School. The WBCA and Gatorade Wisconsin Player of the Year, Whitish was a four-time first-team Division 5 All-State selection and the 2015 and 2016 Wisconsin State Journal Player of the Year. The 5-9 freshman guard played key roles in NU’s first three wins this season, and is averaging 5.3 points and 1.4 assists while shooting 31.6 percent (12-38) from three-point range. Whitish notched her first double-digit scoring effort with 10 points in Nebraska’s win over defending Mountain West Conference champion Colorado State on Nov. 17. She established career highs with 10 points and three three-pointers, including a long triple from the left wing with one on the shot clock with under two minutes left that gave Nebraska a 58-55 lead. She scored NU’s final point at the free throw line to seal the three-point win. Whitish added 10 points and career highs with five assists, two steals and a block in NU’s win over Omaha on Nov. 22. She followed with eight points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal against Washington State in

the South Point Shootout in Las Vegas, Nov. 25. She managed three points and a career-high five rebounds in NU’s win over San Jose State on Dec. 9. She opened her collegiate career with seven points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field in a win over 2016 WAC runner-up UTRGV in the first game of the Preseason WNIT on Nov. 12. “Hannah had a terrific high school career in Wisconsin and proved herself as a dynamic player,” Nebraska Coach Amy Williams said. “She has great basketball instinct and can shoot the ball with consistency, giving her a great opportunity to contribute to our team right away.”

BEFORE NEBRASKA Whitish was a unanimous first-team WBCA all-state selection for the second straight year at Barneveld High School. As a senior, she averaged 24.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 4.5 steals while leading Barneveld to its fourth consecutive state championship game. Barneveld fell to Assumption in the title game, but finished with a 28-1 record to cap a 110-4 career record for Whitish. Barneveld won state titles in 2014 and 2015 and was the state runner-up to Assumption in 2013. Whitish hit 59 percent of her field goals including 48 percent of her threes for the Golden Eagles as a senior to finish among the top 10 in Wisconsin state history in career scoring with well over 2,000 points. As a junior, Whitish averaged 21.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 4.6 steals to lead the Eagles to their second straight WIAA Division 5 state title. She hit 46 percent of her three-pointers while knocking down nearly 80 percent of her free throws as a junior for Coach Jim Myers. As a sophomore, Whitish pumped in 17.1 points per game while powering Barneveld to the state title. She added 15.0 points per game as a freshman. A four-time WBCA Division 5 All-State honoree, Whitish is also a four-time first-team All-Six Rivers

Conference selection. She was the 2015 and 2016 Six Rivers Conference Player of the Year. Whitish played her club basketball for Wisconsin Academy, earning a spot on the All-Star Team at the U.S. Junior Nationals Midwest Qualifier in the summer of 2015. Whitish is the first Husker women’s basketball player from Wisconsin since 1994 WBCA Player of the Year Anna DeForge from Niagara. A four-year starter at Nebraska, DeForge was an honorable-mention All-American as a senior in 1998. She was also a two-time WNBA All-Star. An outstanding all-around athlete, Whitish competed in track and field as a freshman and played softball as a sophomore in high school.

PERSONAL The daughter of Bob and Sherry Whitish, Hannah was born March 20, 1998, in Little Rock, Ark. She has a younger sister Jordyn, 13. Hannah has not declared a major at Nebraska. Whitish chose Nebraska over Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Arkansas and Florida Gulf Coast.

FRESHMAN (2016-17) The No. 25 guard in the class of 2016 according to ESPN, Nicea Eliely (pronounced ny-SEE-ah EE-ly-lee) earned second-team Colorado Class 5A all-state honors as a senior at Rampart High School in 2016. Ranked as the No. 143 overall player nationally by Blue Star. Eliely has continued to emerge as a player with loads of potential who creates problems with her length, versatility and athleticism on the perimeter. She has shown her all-around game early in her Husker career by starting each of Nebraska’s first 11 games and averaging 8.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.7 steals per game. She leads the Huskers in steals and field goal percentage (.500), while ranking second on the team in scoring, assists (2.6 apg), blocked shots (0.6 bpg) and three-point field goal percentage (.400). Eliely produced a career-high 19-point effort against California on Dec. 4, when she hit 8-of-13 shots from the field including 2-of-3 three-pointers. She added 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting, while adding seven rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block in the win over San Jose State on Dec. 9. In the first game of her career, Eliely scored nine points and led the Huskers with four assists and two steals while helping to slow down reigning Western Athletic Conference Player-of-the-Year Shawnte’ Goff in Nebraska’s win over UTRGV on Nov. 12. Eliely added nine points and a career-high four steals in the win over Omaha. Her third-quarter steal

and layup gave Nebraska the lead for good. She had nine points in a loss at unbeaten Virginia Tech on Dec. 1. She produced Nebraska’s best performance in the loss to No. 25 Missouri on Nov. 14, with eight points and eight rebounds. In the Big Red’s win over defending Mountain West Conference champion Colorado State on Nov. 17, Eliely had six points, six rebounds and team highs of six assists and three steals while helping to slow down reigning Mountain West Player of the Year Ellen Nystrom. Eliely held Nystrom nine points under her scoring average entering the game and frustrated Nystrom to the point of fouling out before Nebraska prevailed with a 62-59 win. “Nicea has great length and athleticism which will be assets for her at this level,” Nebraska Coach Amy Williams said. “As she continues to commit to improve her skills, she will be primed to add depth in the backcourt.”

BEFORE NEBRASKA A slasher on offense and a lock-down defender, Eliely was ranked as the No. 143 overall player in the nation by Blue Star while being ranked as the No. 25 guard in the country by ESPN. As a senior, Eliely averaged 21.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 3.4 steals and 2.0 blocks per game. She ranked eighth in the state of Colorado across all classes in scoring in 2016. She also ranked 11th in the state in free throws made (115) while shooting 84.6 percent from the line. She helped Eliely, who averaged 16.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.7 steals and 1.2 blocks for Rampart as a junior in 2015, closed her career with 1,366 points, 455 rebounds, 188 assists, 247 steals and 118 blocks for Coach Ashley Miller. A third-team Colorado Class 5A all-state selection at Rampart as a junior, Eliely earned first-team All-Colorado Springs Metro League honors in 2015. She was also a second-team Gazette Class 5A/4A all-area selection as a junior. As a sophomore for the Lady Rams, Eliely contributed 12.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.2 blocked shots to help Rampart advance to the Elite Eight of the CHSAA Class 5A state

tournament and finish with a 20-6 record. She earned first-team All-Colorado Springs Metro League honors, while adding a second-team selection to the Gazette Class 5A/4A all-area team as a sophomore. She was also a varsity contributor as a freshman in 2013, averaging 4.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. Eliely played for the Boulder Rockies club team that won the U.S. Junior National Nike Tournament in 2015 and the Blue Star Nationals title in 2014 for Coach Johnnie Bratton. Eliely was also a member of the all-star teams at both the USJN Battle of the Border and the USJN Windy City Classic.

PERSONAL Queen Nicea Tyana Eliely was born July 12, 1998, in Colorado Springs. She is the daughter of Actual Allah and Yee Fong. Her father, Actual Allah, played basketball collegiately at Colorado State-Pueblo. Eliely chose Nebraska over Colorado, Wichita State, Colorado State, Northern Colorado and Denver. Off the court, she was a first-team academic all-state selection and a member of the National Honor Society as a junior in 2015. She is majoring in biological systems engineering at Nebraska.

SENIOR (2016-17) Esther Ramacieri (pronounced RAH-muh-Cherry) is playing a key leadership role in a young Husker backcourt as a senior. Ramacieri has started each of Nebraska’s first 11 games of 2016-17 and is averaging 3.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, a team-leading 3.2 assists in 20.5 minutes per game. Ramacieri has already outproduced her own previous career totals in points (39-22), assists (35-18) and steals (12-6) this season. Her eight threes this season are more than double her career total (3) in her first three seasons at Nebraska. She produced a career-high nine-point effort in a win over Omaha on Nov. 22, when she set a career high by knocking down 3-of-4 three-pointers. Ramacieri added five points and a career-high eight assists in a loss at Virginia Tech on Dec. 1. She opened the season by hitting 2-of-4 threes to finish with six points in a win over UTRGV on Nov. 12. Ramacieri struggled through injuries for much of her junior season. She was limited in the summer of 2015 by a knee injury, then missed time with a concussion in December, before missing time with an Achilles injury at the start of Big Ten play in 2015-16. She also missed five Big Ten games with illness in late January and early February.

NEBRASKA CAREER Ramacieri made the largest contributions of her career by appearing in 18 games with three starts in 2015-16. She contributed 17 points, 29 rebounds, 16 assists and six steals, smashing her previous career totals in all categories. She also hit 3-of-6 three-pointers as a junior. Ramacieri scored a season-high five points and grabbed a career-high six rebounds in a win over Northwestern on Feb. 28, 2016. She matched her career best with six more boards in the WNIT loss to Northern Iowa on March 17. She also played a career-high 35 minutes in a start against UNI. Ramacieri started back-to-back Big Ten wins over Penn State (Jan. 13) and Rutgers (Jan. 16). As a sophomore Ramacieri saw playing time in 17 games in 2014-15, including seven Big Ten contests and both of NU’s conference tournament games. She made her first career start against Penn State Jan. 15. She played a season-high 13 minutes and grabbed a season-best three rebounds in a win over High Point Dec. 20. She added two rebounds against Alcorn State Nov. 16. Ramacieri saw playing time in 17 games, averaging 0.2 points and 0.5 rebounds as a freshman for the Huskers in 2013-14. She played a season-high eight minutes in Nebraska’s non-conference finale against Oral Roberts on Dec. 29, when she pulled down two rebounds. She also scored her first career point and grabbed two rebounds in a victory over South Dakota Dec. 21. She added a point in NU’s win over No. 8 Penn State Feb. 24, while grabbing a pair of rebounds. Ramacieri played in Nebraska’s 2014 Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal win over Minnesota and the Huskers’ semifinal victory over No. 19 Michigan State. She pulled down a rebound and dished out the first assist of her career against the Spartans. She saw her first NCAA Tournament action in Nebraska’s win over Fresno State in Los Angeles on March 22. She went 2-for-2 at the free throw line to finish with two points against the Bulldogs.

BEFORE NEBRASKA Ramacieri helped Dawson College to a second-place finish at the 2013 CCAA National Championships. In 2011-12, Dawson won the Quebec Provincial Championship and claimed a silver medal at the CCAA National Championships. Ramacieri averaged 7.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, while helping Dawson to an 18-2 record.

Ramacieri was Felix Leclerc High School’s athlete of the year four times and the MVP of her Dawson Community Blues club team in both 2009 and 2010. In 2010-11, Ramacieri started all 26 games for the Blues and averaged 16.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.2 steals per game. Ramacieri played on bronze medal-winning teams for Quebec at the 2011 Canadian U-17 Championships and the 2008 Canadian U-15 Championships. Ramacieri is the fourth Canadian to compete for the Huskers in women’s basketball, following 2012 Canadian Olympian Chelsea Aubry (2004-07), Kaitlyn Burke (2008-12) and Harleen Sidhu (2009-12).

PERSONAL The daughter of Giuseppe Ramacieri and Marie-Herta Celestin Ramacieri, Esther was born March 4, 1994, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Esther is the youngest of four children, with sisters Cynthia (37) and Julia (34) along with one brother, Pascal (31). Esther is majoring in marketing and earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2014 and the fall of 2015. Ramacieri is also a standout in the community, claiming a prestigious Nebraska Student-Athlete HERO Leadership Award in 2015. She is a three-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team (2014, 2015, 2016).


EMILY WOOD5-5 Junior Guard Salina, Kansas (Salina Central)

12 Wood produced a career-high eight points at Virginia Tech on Dec. 1. She scored all eight during a 23-4 first-half surge that helped the Huskers build a 16-point second-quarter lead. She added two rebounds and a assist against the Hokies. She added seven points on 2-of-2 shooting to go along with a career-high-tying two steals in a win over San Jose State on Dec. 9. She got both of her steals to set a career high in the season-opening win over UTRGV on Nov. 12, while also matching her career best with three boards against the Vaqueros. NEBRASKA CAREER Wood averaged 1.4 points and 0.8 rebounds while producing a 3-to-1 assist-to-turnover (12-4) as a sophomore. She had the best performance of her career with six points on the first two three-pointers of her career in a win over North Florida on Nov. 16. She added the first assist and steal of her career to go along with two rebounds. She had a strong effort with three points and career highs of three rebounds and five assists with no turnovers in a win over Evansville on Dec. 8, 2015. Wood closed her sophomore season with three points, two rebounds and an assist in 11 minutes against Northern Iowa in the WNIT March 17, 2016. She also had three points, two rebounds, three assists and the first two blocked shots of her career in a career-high 25 minutes against Indiana Feb. 24. She added three points and a rebound in one minute at Indiana Feb. 7. Wood had three points at Minnesota Feb. 11, and two points and a rebound in two minutes at No. 14 Northwestern Jan. 3. Wood played in 10 games as a true freshman for the Huskers. She appeared in five of Nebraska’s non-conference games, three Big Ten regular-season contests and both of NU’s games in the Big Ten Tournament. She saw her most meaningful action in NU’s win over Bakersfield Dec. 13, when she scored her only points of the season on a reverse layup in transition to end an eight-minute scoreless drought in the first half. Wood’s basket preceded an 18-0 Husker run on their way to victory.

BEFORE NEBRASKA Wood scored 1,103 career points while knocking down a school-record 223 three-pointers in her career at Salina Central High School. Her 401 points as a senior in 2013-14 were also a school record, as she averaged 16.0 points per game and hit a school season record 91 threes. She hit 42.1 percent of her threes and 86.2 percent of her free throws.

JUNIOR (2016-17) Emily Wood brings energy, enthusiasm, toughness and intelligence to the court each day. Originally a walk-on, Wood earned a scholarship and emerged as a leader on and off the court. Wood has been solid through 11 games as a junior, contributing 2.8 points and 1.2 rebounds in 10.7 minutes per game. Wood was a first-team Class 5A all-state pick by Sports in Kansas magazine, while KansasPreps chose her as the Class 5A Senior of the Year. She was a second-team choice by both the Wichita Eagle and the Topeka Capital-Journal. She was also a first-team Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League (AVCTL) Division I pick. leading the team to a school-record 23-2 mark and a runner-up finish at the Kansas Class 5A state tournament. Wood earned a spot on the 5A All-Tournament team.

PERSONAL Emily is the daughter of Brian and Julie Wood. She was born in Salina, Kan., Oct. 17, 1995, and has two younger sisters, Lindsey and Lauren. Emily is a management major at Nebraska. She was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and earned academic All-Big Ten accolades in 2016. She is also a four-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. A two-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team, she claimed a prestigious Nebraska Student-Athlete HERO Leadership Award in 2016. She was also one of 20 student-athletes across all sports to participate in the Nebraska Athletic Department’s Service Trip Abroad to the Dominican Republic in May of 2016. FRESHMAN (2016-17) The No. 51 ranked wing player in the nation according to ESPN, Grace Mitchell brings a long-range shooting threat and a big frame to the Huskers in 2016-17. The 6-2 forward/guard from Wellington, Kan., was the Kansas Player of the Year by USA Today High School Sports and the Kansas Class 4A Player of the Year in 2016. She earned first-team KBCA Class 4A all-state honors as a senior at Wellington High School in 2016. Mitchell has focused on the forward spot early in the season and has averaged 1.8 points and 1.8 rebounds in 9.8 minutes per game in support of starters Jessica Shepard and Allie Havers. She produced a career-high seven-point effort against Drake on Dec. 6, when she hit her first career three-pointer and added her first career steals. She scored five points to spark a 15-5 surge for the Big Red against the Bulldogs to help send the Huskers to halftime with a 33-32 lead. She scored four points with a perfect shooting performance against Washington State at the South Point Shootout on Nov. 25. She notched a career-high four rebounds against California on Dec. 4. Mitchell managed two points and two rebounds in each of Nebraska’s wins over Colorado State (Nov. 17) and UTRGV (Nov. 12). She added the first blocked

shot of her career in the NU’s loss to No. 25 Missouri on Nov. 14. “We have been very pleased with Grace’s versatility and willingness to fit in wherever the team needs her,” Nebraska Coach Amy Williams said. “She is strong and athletic and has an incredible work ethic, and we are excited about all she brings to our team.”

BEFORE NEBRASKA Mitchell was the No. 51 wing in the nation as a high school senior, according to ESPN. As a senior at Wellington High School, Mitchell set a school single-season scoring record with 533 points on her way to Kansas Class 4A Player-of-the-Year honors. She averaged 21.7 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in her only season at Wellington. She helped the Lady Crusaders to a 24-1 record and a third-place finish at the Class 4A state tournament. As a senior, she hit 48 percent of her three-pointers. A first-team All-Kansas selection, she was the MVP of the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League in 2016. A three-time AVCTL Division I pick, earning first-team honors as a junior and senior and a second-team award as a sophomore, Mitchell was a second-team Kansas Class 6A all-state selection at Derby High School in 2015 by both the KBCA and the Wichita Eagle. She was a KBCA honorable-mention all-state choice as a sophomore in 2014. She led the AVCTL in scoring with 17.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game as a junior at Derby High School in 2014-15. She played for Coach Gayla Soyez at Next Level Hoops Academy in Wichita.

As a junior, Mitchell was a second-team KBCA Class 6A all-state selection at Derby High School. An emerging talent, Mitchell did not not compete in summer club until 2014-15.

PERSONAL The daughter of Jud Mitchell and Cathy Mitchell, Grace was born April 2, 1998, in Wichita, Kan. Grace has two older sisters, Sarah Jeanne (24), and Elizabeth (21). SENIOR (2016-17) Allie Havers (pronounced HAY-vers) is a leader inside for the Huskers as a senior in 2016-17. Through nine games, Havers is averaging 6.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in 26.9 minutes per game, despite opening the season 11-for-40 from the field (.275) through the first seven games. The last four games, Havers has hit 16-of-32 shots and is averaging 9.3 points per game. Havers had a season-high 14 points against Drake for her second double-figure scoring effort of the season. She added nine points and a season-high 11 rebounds in a win over Omaha. She tied a career high with five assists in a win over Colorado State Nov. 17.

NEBRASKA CAREER Havers moved into a starting role for the Huskers midway through her junior season. She started 21 of Nebraska’s final 22 games after playing as NU’s first post off the bench for the first 74 games of her career. She averaged 8.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists and

1.0 block in 24.6 minutes per game. Havers finished with four double-doubles on the year, including 13 points and 10 rebounds in the regular-season finale victory over Northwestern on Feb. 28. She added 16 points and 10 boards in a loss to Rutgers in the Big Ten Touranment on March 3. She also had 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting off the bench against Indiana on Feb. 24. She closed her junior season with 10 points, seven rebounds and two assists against Northern Iowa in the WNIT March 17. Havers finished with 11 double-figure scoring efforts, including each of the last five games, when she averaged 13.0 points and 6.8 boards. She had 15 points, eight rebounds and a career-high five assists at Michigan Jan. 24, before adding a double-double with 11 points and a career-high 14 rebounds against Wisconsin Jan. 27. She had 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists at Penn State Jan. 13. She added eight points, four rebounds a block, a steal and a key deflection on the game’s final play to help secure a 62-61 win at Purdue Jan. 20. Havers had her first double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds against Evansville Dec. 8. She added a career-high 18 points at No. 22 California Dec. 12. As a sophomore in 2014-15, Havers averaged 4.9 points and 3.0 rebounds while playing all 32 games. She had five double-figure scoring efforts, including a season-high 13 points in 20 minutes in NU’s second-round win over Illinois at the 2015 Big Ten Tournament on March 5. Havers added 11 points and five rebounds in a win over Penn State Jan. 15. She pitched in 10 points in a win over Minnesota Feb. 24. She pumped in 10 points in a win over Illinois Jan. 29, and scored 10 points to open Big Ten play at Minnesota Dec. 29, 2014. As a freshman in 2013-14, Havers averaged 3.2 points and 2.6 rebounds while playing in all 33 games for the Big Ten champion Huskers. She had her best game in the Big Ten Tournament semifinal win over No. 19 Michigan State on March 8. With All-American Jordan Hooper strapped with early foul trouble, the third-seeded Huskers held a 16-13 lead over the Big Ten regular-season co-champion Spartans. Havers helped ignite a first-half surge to a 50-27 halftime lead. She finished with a season-high 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting and a 5-for-5 effort at the free throw line. She dished out a season-best three assists while blocking a career-high three shots in 19 minutes. Havers had eight points and 10 rebounds at

Northwestern Jan. 26, 2014. She opened her career with 14 points and three rebounds in 15 minutes in NU’s 77-49 win over UCLA on Nov. 8, 2013.

BEFORE NEBRASKA Havers was two-time first-team Michigan Class A center at Mattawan High School. She averaged 19.3 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.3 blocks, 2.3 steals and 1.5 assists as a senior. She closed her career with 1,561 points, 1,015 rebounds, a school-record 348 blocks and 178 steals. She was rated the No. 76 player in the nation by Blue Star. Havers was a first-team Class A Michigan all-stater in volleyball as a senior in 2012, when she was also an honorable-mention Under Armour All-American. She was a first-team all-state shortstop/pitcher as a junior and senior in softball, leading Mattawan to the 2013 state title.

24 Simon earned starts in four straight games late in the season in place of injured senior Kyndal Clark. She averaged 7.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and and 2.0 assists in those four starts. Simon had a career game with 16 points and seven rebounds in a win over Northwestern on Feb. 28. She added nine points, four rebounds and two assists against Rutgers in the Big Ten Tournament March 3. Simon was a significant contributor for the Huskers through the first seven games, before breaking her left arm in a non-basketball fall on Dec. 7. She returned to action at No. 8 Maryland Jan. 7, scoring nine points off the bench. Simon produced a strong 10-point, three-assist effort in NU’s run past NC State on Dec. 3. That followed 11 points against Southern Nov. 23. She scored eight points in NU’s win over North Carolina Central Nov. 21. Simon added seven points in seven minutes on her birthday at Indiana on Feb. 7. She had five points, three rebounds, a career-high four assists and her first steal against North Florida Nov. 16. She tied her career high with four assists against Indiana on Feb. 24.

BEFORE NEBRASKA A two-time first-team All-Nebraska and Super-State selection, Simon capped her high school basketball career as the Gatorade Player of the Year. She averaged 18.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists while leading Lincoln Pius X to the Class B state championship as a senior for Coach Bill Rice. Simon’s senior season followed a junior season in which she averaged 19.8 points and seven rebounds per game to help Pius X to a Class B runner-up finish. Her top game came with 35 points and 13 rebounds against Omaha Gross. Simon was a second-team Class A all-stater as a sophomore, averaging 16.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 2012-13. She hit 48 percent of her shots from the field and 74 percent of her free throws. Simon played her club basketball for the Nebraska Lasers and Coach Allen Simpson. SOPHOMORE (2016-17) After being challenged by injuries as a freshman, Maddie Simon is looking to emerge in the Nebraska backcourt as a sophomore. The 6-2 guard from Lincoln has opened her second season by averaging 4.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game. She scored a season-high 11 points to go along with four rebounds and two steals against California Dec. 4. Simon had six points and tied her career high with seven rebounds in the season-opening win over UTRGV on Nov. 12. She followed with six more points and three boards against No. 25 Missouri on Nov. 14. She scored eight points and snagged a career-high three steals against Virginia at the South Point Shootout on Nov. 26. She had six points, three rebounds, two assists and a block in just 11 minutes against Drake on Dec. 6.

NEBRASKA CAREER Simon averaged 5.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.0 assist while playing in 21 games with five starts as a freshman in 2015-16. Simon, who suffered a broken arm in a non-basketball fall in early December, also missed Nebraska’s Postseason WNIT game against Northern Iowa with an ankle sprain.

Championships. She was the Class A runner-up in both events as a junior in 2014. She also finished third in the 100, while adding a runner-up finish in the 300 in 2013. She was also a member of Pius X’s All-Class gold medal-winning 4x400 relay in 2013. A three-time letterwinner in golf, Simon qualified for the state tournament in 2013. Simon was also an honor roll student all four years at Lincoln Pius X.

PERSONAL The daughter of Doug and Nicole (Ali) Simon, Maddie was born Feb. 7, 1997, in Lincoln, Neb. Maddie has two older brothers, Bennett and Zach, who both graduated from the University of Nebraska. Maddie’s mother was a hurdler for Coach Gary Pepin’s 1983 and 1984 national championship track and field teams at Nebraska. Nicole also owns the distinction of being the first female track and field CoSIDA Academic All-American at Nebraska. Maddie is a pre-health major and earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2016. She was also a member of the 2016 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team. Maddie is the niece of University of Maryland men’s basketball coach Mark Turgeon. Simon said she chose Nebraska over Iowa, Iowa State, Oklahoma State and Creighton, because she has grown up close to the Husker program.

points and 11.1 boards for the Huskers. She produced her 16th career double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds at Creighton on Dec. 18. It was her third straight double-double, following a season-high 28 points and 14 rebounds in a win over San Jose State on Dec. 9, and a 23-point and season-high 16-rebound effort against Drake on Dec. 6. She had 25 points and 14 boards at Virginia Tech on Dec. 1, and 24 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Colorado State on Nov. 17. Shepard hit a pair of threes against the defending Mountain West champs, including a game-clinching three with a minute left. Shepard scored 25 points against Washington State to earn a spot on the all-tournament team at the South Point Shootout, Nov. 25-26. In the season-opening win over UTRGV on Nov. 12, Shepard hit her first career three in the first quarter, before adding a 60-footer at the first-half buzzer. She finished with 17 points and 15 rebounds.

NEBRASKA CAREER Shepard earned first-team All-Big Ten honors as the Big Ten Freshman of the Year. She led the Huskers with freshman school-record averages of 18.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game, despite her numbers suffering in the postseason while playing limited minutes with a stress reaction in her foot. She shattered the Nebraska freshman scoring record with 574 points, and finished second in school history among freshman with 266 rebounds. She also set an NU freshman record with 10 double-doubles. Shepard claimed a conference record 10 Big Ten Freshman-of-the-Week awards. She was the conference player of the week on Dec. 21 and Jan. 25. She was the espnW and College Sports Madness National Player of the Week, Jan. 25. She added USBWA National Freshman-of-the-Week honors on Dec. 22 and Jan. 26. Shepard produced one of the best efforts in school history with a freshman-record-tying 35 points and a career-high 20 rebounds at Michigan Jan. 24. It was the first 30-point, 20-rebound game in Nebraska history. She scored 20 or more points 16 times. She scored a Nebraska freshman record 35 points and set a school record with 20 free throw attempts against Northern Arizona Dec. 19. She had 29 points and 19 rebounds against Illinois Jan. 10, and 29 points and 10 boards at Penn State Jan. 13. She had 28 points and eight rebounds in her Big Ten debut against Iowa Dec. 31. She had 26 points to help the Huskers knock off No. 17 Michigan State Feb. 14. She opened her Husker career with 24 points and 13 rebounds against UAPB to become the first Husker to produce 20 points and 10 rebounds in an opener.

BEFORE NEBRASKA As a member of the USA Basketball U18 Team at the FIBA Americas Championship, Shepard averaged 12.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game while helping the team to a 5-0 record and a gold medal in the summer of 2014. She hit 66.7 percent of her shots from the field in the tournament. Shepard played just nine games as a senior at Fremont High School before suffering a torn ACL on Dec. 29, 2014. She averaged 33.0 points and 14.3 rebounds per game, including 132 points in four games at the 2014 Nike Tournament of Champions. She had 36 points against Long Beach Poly. Despite missing most of her senior year, Shepard finished fourth in Nebraska high school history with 2,227 career points, which was the Class A (largest) record. She finished No. 15 in state history with 1,031 rebounds, just 16 shy of the Nebraska Class A record. Shepard averaged a Class A state record 30.4 points to go along with 15.6 rebounds in 2013-14. She had four 40-point games, including a career-high 46.

PERSONAL The daughter of Mark and Kim Shepard, Jessica was born Sept. 11, 1996, in Fremont, Neb. She has one older brother, Clayton, and four sisters, Taylor, Samantha, Emma and Sarah. Jessica comes from a basketball family. Her older sister, Taylor, and older brother, Clayton, have been college basketball players at Midland University in Fremont. JUNIOR (2016-17) Jasmine Cincore has solidified her place in Nebraska’s starting lineup early in her junior season by averaging 6.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists through Nebraska’s first 11 games. The 5-10 guard from Arlington, Tenn., opened the season with nine points, two rebounds and four assists in the win over UTRGV on Nov. 12. She added nine points on 4-of-5 shooting including a three-pointer in the Huskers’ win over defending Mountain West Conference champion Colorado State on Nov. 17. She pitched in nine points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals at Virginia Tech, Dec. 1. Cincore added seven points, two assists, a steal and a career-high four blocks against Drake on Dec. 6. It matched her total from the other 61 games of her career.

NEBRASKA CAREER Cincore emerged throughout the season and started in place of injured senior Rachel Theriot the final five games and six times overall in 2015-16. Cincore averaged 4.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 17.9 minutes per game on the year. She had a career-high 16 points against Indiana Feb. 24. She capped her season with 10 points, four rebounds and three assists against Northern Iowa in the first round of the WNIT. Over the final 10 games, Cincore averaged 6.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals in 29.7 minutes per game.

Cincore made her first career start in Nebraska’s win at Michigan Jan. 24. She had eight points, three assists, a block and a steal in 32 minutes. Cincore had nine points and knocked down a pair of threes at No. 5 Ohio State Feb. 18, before making her second career start in place of Theriot in a loss to Purdue Feb. 21. She tied a career high with four steals. Cincore contributed seven points, two rebounds, an assist and three steals at Minnesota Feb. 7. She had five points and a career-high-tying four rebounds in a win over Penn State Feb. 2. Cincore had nine points at No. 8 Maryland Jan. 7. She scored eight points in a win over Southern on Nov. 23, when she went a career-best 6-for-6 at the free throw line. She opened the season with six points, four rebounds, three assists and a block against Arkansas Pine Bluff. She had seven points and a career-high four steals against North Florida. She hit 27 straight free throws from Dec. 8 to Feb. 14. Cincore played in 20 games as a freshman for the Huskers in 2014-15, despite missing more than a month with an ankle injury. Cincore finished with 25 points, four rebounds, 10 assists and seven steals in 97 total minutes on the season. She appeared in seven of Nebraska’s first eight games, before being sidelined by an ankle injury following Nebraska’s game at Alabama Dec. 7, when she dished out a season-high three assists. Cincore missed more than a month before returning to action against Penn State Jan. 15. She played in 13 of Nebraska’s final 17 games. She scored a season-high six points in just four minutes in a win at Wisconsin Jan. 22. Cincore added five points against Alcorn State Nov. 16, after opening the season with four points against Pepperdine Nov. 15.

BEFORE NEBRASKA As a senior, Cincore led Briarcrest Christian to a 28-1 record under Coach Lee Smith and a berth in the

Class 2-AA state tournament, averaging 15.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 3.1 steals per game. She was named Miss Basketball in Tennessee Class 2-AA in both 2013 and 2014.

PERSONAL The daughter of Wesley and Monique Cincore, Jasmine was born April 26, 1996, in New Orleans, La. Jasmine has a younger brother, Jalen. Jasmine is majoring in advertising and public relations and has earned three spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. She is a two-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team. She chose Nebraska over Michigan, Marquette, Memphis, Tennessee Tech, Kansas State, Auburn and Georgia State.


DARRIEN WASHINGTON6-2 Sophomore Forward Oakland, California (Skyline)

50rebounds and her first career steal in the win over North Florida on Nov. 16. She missed Nebraska’s next seven games before returning for one minute of first half action against Northern Arizona on Dec. 19. Washington did not play in NU’s next three games, before making her Big Ten debut with three points and two rebounds in five minutes at No. 8 Maryland on Jan. 7. She battled a nagging knee injury for several games, but returned at near full strength in the win over Penn State Feb. 2. She scored five points while adding a rebound and a block in six minutes in the win over the Lady Lions For the season, Washington scored 20 points and grabbed 19 rebounds in just 39 total minutes. Washington redshirted in her first season at Nebraska in 2014-15. Off the court, she earned a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2015.

BEFORE NEBRASKA Washington wrapped up her career at Oakland Skyline High School with an outstanding senior season, earning first-team All-Oakland honors after averaging 16.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 4.1 blocks per game for 21-9 Skyline in 2013-14. Washington’s abilities were featured in a 77-40 victory over San Leandro KIPP King, when she erupted for 32 points and pulled down 23 rebounds while blocking six shots. Washington finished her high school career with 1,181 points over 101 career games to average 11.7 points per game. She also averaged 9.8 rebounds per contest, coming up just short of 1,000 career rebounds despite playing sparingly as a freshman. Washington was a first-team All-Oakland selection in the Bay Area League in 2012-13. She averaged 16.4 points, 12.6 rebounds and 4.9 blocks for Oakland Skyline as a junior in 2012-13. One of her top performances came on Nov. 28, 2012, against Washington-San Francisco, when she had 27 points,

SOPHOMORE (2016-17) Darrien Washington is seeing increased playing time inside for the Huskers as a third-year sophomore. She is averaging 2.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per game. She scored a career-high seven points and matched a career high with six rebounds in Nebraska’s win over San Jose State on Dec. 9. She followed with six points, four rebounds and her second career assist at Creighton on Dec. 18. Washington had three points and set her career high with six rebounds against Washington State at the South Point Shootout on Nov. 26. She opened the season with two points and tied her then-career high with five rebounds in a career-high 20 minutes in NU’s win over UTRGV on Nov. 12. She added two points and four boards in 12 minutes of work in NU’s win over Colorado State on Nov. 17. She has already played more than triple the minutes (138) that she did as a redshirt freshman (39) in 2015-16. “Darrien is gaining confidence and comfort as she enters her third year at Nebraska,” Coach Amy Williams said. “Her size and strength put her in a great position to be a physical presence for us in the post.”

NEBRASKA CAREER Washington competed for time in a deep and talented Nebraska post rotation as a redshirt freshman in 2015-16. She enjoyed an impressive debut with six points, five rebounds and an assist in just eight minutes in NU’s victory over Arkansas Pine Bluff on Nov. 14. She added three points, five

17 rebounds and six blocked shots in a 50-47 win. She helped Skyline to a 17-10 record as a junior and was an all-state candidate out of the CIF San Francisco/Oakland section. As a sophomore, Washington earned second-team All-OAL honors from the ContraCosta Times in 2011-12. She averaged 9.9 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per contest for a Skyline team that went 21-6. Washington also played on the Cal Stars Elite team that finished as the national runner-up in the summer of 2013.

PERSONAL Darrien is the daughter of BJ Washington. Darrien was born April 11, 1996. She has a younger sister. Darrien is an animal science major at Nebraska. She earned spots on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2015 and 2016. She chose Nebraska over Utah, Oregon, Oregon State and UC Santa Barbara.
