WHY DO you SEEK THE LIVINGAMONG THE DEAD? The gospel according to Luke tells us that on the firstday of the week, very early in the morning, the womentook the spices they had prepared and went to thetomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body ofthe Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed likelightning stood beside them. In their fright the womenbowed down with their faces to the ground, but themen said to them, “Why do you look for the livingamong the dead? He is not here; he has risen!Remember how he told you, while he was still with youin Galilee: I can almost imagine these women dragging their feetas they made their way to the tomb. At this Point alltheir hopes had been taken away from them. The daypreceding the Sabbath they had seen and witnessedthe death of their only hope Jesus of Nazareth. Theymust have been stil in shock at the horrible crueldeath. . It had been their hope that He would redeemIsrael and deliver them from their Roman oppressors;but now their dreams and hopes lay in the darkenedtomb. But can you imagine their excitement when theygot to the tomb and it was empty!! Easter is a time of celebraing the death andresurrection of our Saviour. He is alive and He alone isour only hope today. Let us continue to reach out to himand stop seeking Him amongst the dead! He is alive!!!!Remember He loves you and wants to spend time withyou.

On sept 2012 my docter had me take a colon rectal test, because ofmy age I need to have one done . So I went and had the test done. Aftertbe test was done I found out that I had colon cancer and it was instage 3 . There was a tumor that needed to come out . So the next stepwas for me to go and talk to the surgeon who would tell me what wasgoing to happen . The surgery was going to be done on oct 7th 2012 .My youngest brother who was staying with me and my husbandpassed away at our home on oct 5th 2012 . I had to call the docter'soffice to make another appointment for my surgery . They set thesurgery for oct 17th 2012, so I had time to bury my brother. I went in and had the surgery done and stayed in the hospital forabout three or four days . After about one month after the surgery, Iwent to see the cancer docter so he could set my six months ofchemotherapy . I started to take my treatments . I finished mytreatments in july 2013 . So my docter ordered a PET scan, I went andhad that done. This scan, scaned my body from my stomach to mychest . I did not get the results for a month . When tbe results. cameback they were negtive. The cancer did not spread to any other part ofmy body . I am thanking God for his grace over my life. I still have to see mycancer docter, for a check up . The last time I saw him he told me thateverything was good and he would see me in six months . I am stillthanking God for his favor over me...

The meaning of sisterhood is the relationship of two sisters. Thesewomen have a common interest and it varies such as community, religion,or etc. Sisterhood is not limited to your biological sisters , but can beextended to outside relationship with others. There are many important points to empowering your sisters to reachtheir goals.First thing is to have accountability to one another and a high level of trust. You must be able to communicate about anything with your sister andknow that it want be discussed. A sister is someone that listens and issensitive to your needs and feelings. There are times when you have to cryand need a shoulder to lean on or a big laugh. Women experience manythings in life that may cause them to rely on their closes friend akasisterhood and it brings strength to the person. Sisters are encouragersand they are a great support team. They inspire a person to be the best andalways give good advice and willing to help if needed. They never allowyou to walk through difficult situations alone. Things that damage a sisterhood is betrayal and gossip in therelationship. Always be true to your sister, because she values therelationship and respects the friendship. Don’t take advantage of oneanother and be equal to your responsibilities in the relationship . I have been blessed to have a few good sisters in my life and I am grateful. The key to the relationship was prayer, communication, accountability, andtrust. When you experience difficult situations it is good to have a strongsisterhood that is dependable.

MY CANCER STORYby Ava Johnson Tate

A WOMAN WHO CAN SEEBEYOND HERSELF a woman who can see

We are living in a world where many have becomeselfish, wanting and hoarding everything forthemselves. Many women of today are looking foroutside acceptance, looking for love in theopposite direction, hurting from pastrelationships, bruised, battered and betrayed.Women of today have not been taught to lovethemselves beyond the capacity of over and inaddition to. We have failed to understand thatevery woman concentrates on herself beforethinking on anything else and also deemsimportant looking good to feel fine and self-confident. It goes beyond vanity. If she didn't feel comfortable with whom she wasshe would show many doubts when facing theworld that she would unavoidably suffer manydrawbacks. We have been raising a generation ofwomen who are self-seeking more interested inpersonal profit and self-serving pleasure, with theinability to discern the power that is invested intheir spirit and become aware of who they are. The most essential part of a woman is one who can“see beyond” meaning she has the power toforesee past her sense of her own priorities, allowing God to be preeminent covering as towhat she is able to accomplish in her life, seekingGod’s will what legacy she leaves to futuregenerations, having a standard as a role model forthe young women of tomorrow, and making sureShe possesses a powerful life transformation insuch a unique and poignant way that she is able toestablish her footsteps into possibilities andpromises.

Only expressing her desire to stand on the principles of“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and hisrighteousness; and all these things shall be added untoyou.” As her daily Decalogue Queen Esther, her identityas Jewish and thus a worshipper of the one true God wasmore important than her position as queen or even herlife. For us, who we are, should not be wrapped up inendless pursuits that will not achieve ambition. Ouridentity goes beyond these things to a deeper place. As believer, we are indwelt by the spirit and this is thedeepest reality of our existence. Our main focus is not to“stumble on” this within ourselves, but to let go of what’salready inside of us. Queen Esther feared when Mordecaicommands her to approach the king. The laws of Persiaare irrevocable, so if someone enters the presence of theking uninvited, they are to be killed instantaneouslyexcept the king raises his golden scepter. Esther decidesto look beyond herself and goes against the law of theland. Queen Esther sees beyond herself to save a nation, not for her sake but for God’s sake. She took courage toact when she looked past her own ability and concluded“If I perish, I perish” (4:16). This is not hopelessness; thisis an audacious will power from within to respond towhat is necessary. Seeing beyond you, says I can see GREATER even whenthe powerful forces strikes against my faith, “Lookingunto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; (Hebrews12:2). Knowing we have reassurance that there is somethinginside of us that is more powerful than anything else wecan face. “Nay, in all these things we are more thanconquerors through him that loved us.” (Romans 8:37)

Dare to Dream by Mary Eisenacher – “Sheep” - for Women’s FrontlineMagazine The Lord is our Shepherd. Can we ever understand what it means tofollow The Great Shepherd? I believe we can. It only takes an effort on our part. He longs for ourattention. He bids us to come to Him. He awaits time spent with Him. How can we enjoy time with Him? It’sreally very easy. We begin by just moving toward Him and away from the world. We apportionquality time to speak to Him, and then we hone our listening skills. Have you ever had a conversation withsomeone when you were concentrating so hard on what you wanted to say next that you didn’treally listen to the other person – you couldn’t recall what they said? Well, The Church has done a lot of thattoo by being so concerned with what we have to say and do that we have failed to listen for the voiceof the Lord. Many of us had a false sense of security while growing up as young, tender, impressionable lambs. As life presented itself, we found our security shattered. We began to straintoward The Word for comfort and understanding. As we began to lean on The Word (Jesus), we found asecurity beyond ourselves and circumstances. Any observance of signs, wonders, and miracles tookus into a hunger for even more of God. There has been some real sacrifice to get there and understandthe workings of the Holy Spirit. As a young sheep, I loved Jesus. I actually thought that most people in thechurch did also, but I found (in my circle) people had lots of problems with no remedy of deliverance.I invited many to attend functions. I led hymns at the piano as a child in Sunday School. Butoutside the church, the miracles presented themselves. I heard the stories of my Aunt - as a young bride –who had been healed from a terrific fall from an apple tree – bones and internal injuries healedmiraculously when my Uncle prayed for her. X-rays (before and after) proved it, and she was pronounced amiracle by the doctors and released from the hospital. Her brothers and sisters testified of thehealing as long as they lived. I also experienced the love of God through my grandmother into my marriedlife and my first pregnancy. She and my mother prayed for a neighbor, and she was healed. But, I was in mylate 40’s before I personally witnessed and could testify of God’s miraculous physical healings - oreven realized them in my own life. We began to strain towardThe Word for comfort and understanding. Aswe began to lean on The Word (Jesus), wefound a security beyond ourselves andcircumstances. Any observance of signs, wonders, andmiracles took us into a hunger for even more ofGod. There has been some real sacrifice to getthere and understand the workings of the HolySpirit. As a young sheep, I loved Jesus. I actuallythought that most people in the church didalso, but I found (in my circle) people had lotsof problems with no remedy of deliverance. Iinvited many to attend functions. I led hymns at the piano as a child in SundaySchool. But outside the church, the miracles presented themselves. I heard the stories ofmy Aunt - as a young bride – who had beenhealed from a terrific fall from an apple tree –bones and internal injuries healedmiraculously when my Uncle prayed for her. X-rays (before and after) proved it, andshe was pronounced a miracle by the doctorsand released from the hospital. Her brothersand sisters testified of the healing as long asthey lived.

Men and woman co-laboring together in ministry is the mosthealthy way the bride of Christ can effectively move God'schurch forward in this hour. The bible states in I Cor 3:9 For we arelaborers together with God; ye are the husbandry, ye are God'sbuilding. The word labour in the oxford dictionary means work, especially hard physical work. This shows the fact ministry isn't aplatform to become entertainers, nor a vacation from a 9 to 5 job.Ministry is labour and toil, when a woman is in labour birthing achild, this is the most intense, painful part of bringing life intothe earth. Once the birthing process is done, the new life bringsexcitement and joy, overriding the rigorous pain in labouring. One great model we have highlighted in scripture is Priscilla andAquilla, who were a first century missionary married couple, whoit is believed were listed among the seventy disciplines..This Co-labouring couple worked alongside Paul who described them ashis fellow workers in Christ Jesus. 1 Cor 16:19 states thechurches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you muchin the Lord, with the church that is in their house. This eludes tothe fact this couple co-laboured together overseeing a churchand teaching the saints concerning this new faith in Christ thatwas now sweeping the land.

They represent a great model of a man and woman inministry for the comman cause of pushing God kingdomforward. We have seen in our day great men ministries aswell as woman's ministries being birthed, with great Malevessels of God dealing with issues that men deal with, aswell as great woman vessels ministering to the needs ofwoman, I believe it is vital to have such, whichdemonstrates great breakthroughs, when we seeplatforms dealing with issues that may seem taboo, Thushaving men and woman co-laboring is vital to properlyminister to the total man and the entire body ofChrist...We are now seeing a great emergence of Men andwoman standing together speaking the heart of God intothe earth..God sees the the church as his bride, throughrevelation this shows the unity God desires between Menand Woman in ministry. There was a time parents really believed this was

the way you should raise your children. When a

baby started to say words they were taught " Jesus

weep" later on they were taught a little prayer

soon it was The 23rd Psalms. Then the big one

the Lords Prayer. They understood that children

imitated what they show and heard. Even if the

parent them selves did not go to church they sent

their children to Sunday school. Even when they

had fights or misunderstanding it was not done

in front of the children. You did not hear gossip

,But as time changed so did things in the Home.

There were more single mothers who had to

work, take care of their children alone , look for

love not realizing The love they needed was in

God. Those that was raised in a home that feared

God and was taught about Him, remembered

their up bringing and would start doing the

things they were taught as a child. Some time it

took a while for them to move in this life style but

Awake, Awake! Put on your beautiful garments now! Christians shouldnot wear clothing that promotes rebellion against God or provoke sinfulpassion or practices, but should “abstain from all appearance of evil.” (1Thess. 5:22) Are you naked and not ashamed? The definition of the wordnaked is being without clothing or covering (2) without adequate clothing.Christian women should dress everyday in their royal apparel like Estherthe Queen according to Chapter 5:1. Therefore, Beauty should not just beoutwardly but inwardly. It is important how we dress the body, but it is also important to God howwe dress the spirit and mind. Dressing for success is not just wearing ashort, tight dress, three inches above the knees and a pair of high heelshoes but putting on the whole armour of God according to Ephesians6:11-18. Beautifying the spirit, mind and our body is more effective in oureveryday affairs. Who can find a virtuous woman? Man looks at the outerappearance but God looks at the heart. If the spirit is naked, then your bodywill show the nonverbal communication. “And they were both naked, theman and his wife, and were not ashamed. And the eyes of them both wereopened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leavestogether, and made themselves aprons.” (Genesis 2:25; 3:7) Many women are walking around naturally half naked and spirituallynaked.” We cannot leave our houses half dressed or not dressed at all. It istime to dress for the “King.” Her natural clothing is beautiful and herspiritual clothing is beautiful, too. There are special pieces of garment thatevery woman must have on everyday. How Should Christ Women Dress? I am glad you asked. Let’s look at thescripture according to Ephesians 6:10, 12 “Finally, my brethren, be strong inthe Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God,(WHY?) they ye may be able to stand against the wiles of devil. For wewrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, againstpowers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritualwickedness in high places.”

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may beable to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Standtherefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on thebreastplate of righteousness. And your feet shod with thepreparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield offaith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of thewicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Praying always with all prayer andsupplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with allperseverance and supplication for all saints. (Ephesians 6:13-18) We must clothe and adorn ourselves with the word morning andnight. Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court ofthe king’s house, over against the king’s house and the king sat uponhis royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of thehouse” (Esther 5:1) We stand against the wiles of the devil and Esthertoo was able to stand against the gates of hell that was trying todestroy the Jews. Now that you are awake, put on the whole beautiful garments! You donot have to be naked. Christian women should dress everyday in theirroyal apparel like Esther the Queen according to Chapter 5:1. If weask the Holy Spirit what we should put on He will help us. We mustdress our spirit, mind and our body. Beauty should not just appear onthe outside but the inside the heart.

Shehad found favour with the Lord and had been chosen to be themother of Jesus, the son of God. How awesome is that? From thebeginning of time, God had great plans for women. He created manand woman in His own image and tasked them to be fruitful andmultiply and to govern the earth. Women have since played animportant role in the world and in the body of Christ. Can youimagine a church without women? All women are special to God and we all have a role to play. Marysaid “O how my soul praises the Lord. How my spirit rejoices in Godmy Saviour! For he took notice of his lowly servant girl, and fromnow on all generations will call me blessed.” Luke 1:47-49. Why wasMary chosen as a vessel? Was it by her good works? The bible says inEphesians 2:8-10 says that “For it is by grace you have been savedthrough faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift of God – notby works, so that no one can boast.” Indeed it is not by our works sowe cannot boast. Every woman can be a vessel for God. God chose Mary and has alsochosen you. We have been chosen to serve God in many ways. Somehave been chosen as teachers, others apostles, prophets andworkers of miracle. Others have the gift of healing and some areable to help others. Some have administrative gifts, and othersserve God by cleaning the house of God, by singing, usheringpeople, as encouragers, counsellors and so on. The important thingis that whatever we have been called to do, we do it well. When Godcalls you, He will also qualify you. The Holy Spirit is there to guideyou all the way. When God gives you an assignment, He willdefinitely provide the means.

When God called me into the women’s ministry, I didn’t even knowGod that well. As Mary did, I asked, how shall it be? God provided menand women of God to support me every step of the way. He alsoprovided encouragers. Looking back now, I realised God had beenpreparing me long before I gave my life to Him. I had been involvedwith many circular womens’ groups in the past and had heldleadership positions in these groups. My training ground didn’t startin the House of God but it has come in useful in the House of God. Iwas not selected because I was righteous. God qualified me and Itherefore do not take it for granted. What kind of vessels are we supposed to be? As much as we will not serve water in a dirty cup, we cannot alsocontinue providing God with a dirty vessel. We cannot continue tooffer God, a life filled with iniquity. Since the blood of Jesus hascleansed us, we must endeavour to remain clean. Colossians 3:12says that “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentlenessand patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievancesyou may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all togetherin perfect unity.” As women, our role is very crucial in the church. When you look at thebody of Christ, women are in the majority and the body has to worktogether to achieve God’s purpose. Let us play our roles not as untomen but as unto God. Let us encourage each other along the way.

If I look back at my life I realise that I would never be where I am today if my mother hadnot chosen to be actively involved in my education. I probably would not have gone tothe fantastic high school I went to, St David’s Girls High Bonda .I probably would neverhave had a chance of doing my university education in the UK without the ability to readlet alone write in English my second language, but all of these things became possiblebecause my mother cared enough to help rewrite my life story. The input of my mother certainly transformed my life and as I grew other teachers, adults and peers poured into my life to help me become who I am today. Today I ambased in England where I am Registered Nurse and Midwife holding a Diploma in AdultNursing from Middlesex University and a Bachelor of Science Midwifery degree fromthe University of Hertfordshire. As a result of this journey in education that my motherredefined at the beginning I grew into a confident lady who loves God and has beenable to travel the nations helping others with the gifts, knowledge and skills that Godhas given me. By the grace of God in 2010, I joined a team of professionals that left theUK and USA to help survivors of the devastating Haiti earthquake. I was the only blackAfrican woman on the team and I believe that when God opens doors for you no onecan shut them. Being able to serve with my gifts to sing, inspire and lead childrentogether with my professional skills and know how I was able to serve others in astrange land. How great is our God? This was all made possible by the young mothermany years ago, who had decided to change the fortunes of her daughter by taking aleading role in educating her child. On leaving Haiti I flew to Lagos, Nigeria where I addressed an audience of approximately 10 000 people on how the Haiti EarthquakeRelief Mission was progressing. I was able to do interviews with the Nigerian mediajournalists detailing the relief work in Haiti. Besides volunteering as a nurse andmidwife during my time in Haiti I also was able to lead the children’s singing, playingand learning activities making use of my dominant gifts in singing and inspiring othersparticularly children. As I am a true demonstration of the combined power of a mother and early childhoodeducation I am increasingly becoming passionate about early years education and amlooking forward to now changing my career path this September to retrain as an EarlyYears teacher, specialising in the education of children between the ages of 3-7. I believe that the struggle that I had as a Grade One pupil the intervention of my motherand the following work done by all my other teachers and lecturers from then on has allsteered me onto the path I have been on and I am now taking.

"Class aptent taciti sociosqu ad litora torquent perconubia nostra, per inceptos himenaeos. Praesentdignissim ultrices neque. Aliquam auctor congue nunc sedinterdum. Praesent dignissim ultrices neque. Aliquamauctor congue nunc sed interdum. "

When I look at the woman I have become I cannot think that I became what I am today by myown efforts, rather I am a product of the efforts of all those I met along the way andespecially the effort of my mother. I am the first born in a family comprising of two girls and one boy. I was born premature andgrew up and was educated in Zimbabwe up to the age of 18. I started Grade One at Lomagundi Primary School in Chinhoyi and I struggled severely to grasp what my teachertaught. I remember wanting so much to do well like the other children in my class but nomatter how hard I tried I lagged behind and got most of my work wrong. I was so frustrated. In my class we used to be seated according to how well we did in our work and I found myselfseated at the ‘daft table’ the table were the failing kids sat. It was at the end of my firstschool term and my mother went for the first consultation day. My first grade teacher toldmy mum she did not know how to help me because she had tried all she knew to assist me.Thank God my mother was a teacher! On going home my mother said it hurt her so much thatit could be said that her child was hopeless yet she herself was a primary school teacher. With this in mind my mother decided that she would do whatever it took to change thetrajectory of the life of her first born. My mother bought a blackboard, chalk, pens, pencils, crayons, flash cards, manila, in facteverything that she could think of to help me learn. Every single week day of that Aprilschool holiday my Mum sat with me outside and taught me under the African skies. I learntphonics, I learnt to count, I learnt to write, I learnt to read and I learnt not to be timid but tospeak up for myself as a confident learner. Sometimes I cried I just wanted to play but myMum had a different vision of who I could become. May be having been born premature slowed my grasping of facts and one thing that mymother discovered was that I was slower in grasping facts than the average five year old.Seeing this about me my mother broke down my learning into little bite sized chunks andsure enough I started understanding my lessons better. As a teacher my mother had to learnto be patient and to work with where I was a learner. Yes she wished I could learn faster buteducation is not effective if it is not tailored to meet the needs and the capabilities of thestudent. By the end of the holiday I had grown in confidence and knowledge. Second term of Grade One came and the little Bester who walked through the classroomdoors that term was not the same Bester who exited that same door last term. I was nolonger timid, frustrated and the ‘daft one’ who always lagged behind. My class work improved dramatically and from Group 6 , for the ‘daft kids’ my teacher moved me to Group 2.Come consultation day at the end of that term, my mother walked back into that classroom tomeet my teacher and my teacher could not but literally shake my mother’s hand andcongratulate her for whatever my mother had done to help me because she knew my motherhad done something for me for my performance to change so much. The story did not endthere. Third term came and by the end of that term I sat at Group One for the bright kids andwhen we wrote our end of year tests I came top of the class in a tie. Who would have believedthat the kid who had been written off as a hopeless case could in that very same yearbecome top of the class? Well, this is what happened, thanks to a mother’s love, patienceand diligence. From then on I became a top class student and someone to be reckoned withacademically all the way from Primary to University.

Being Chicken is the new David: How Accepting our Feelings of Inadequacy can really build up Strength Why are several Christians today afraid of delving deeper into the roots of their personal inadequacies(character flaws which lead to sin and unbelief such as bad habits, secret sins, temporary bouts offear…etc.)? We live in a day and an age where we’re inadvertently taught by our growing culture, to mask ourinadequacies; Pretending to have the happiest relationships when our marriages are crumbling.Assuring ourselves that our families are intact when our children are really wayward. Speaking ‘life’over others when we’re secretly fighting the same demons. Preaching Purity when we’re struggling withlust. Telling others and ourselves that, ‘God is good to us’ when we’ve got a mounting bitternesstowards Him because of growing failures. If God could expose the condition of some of our hearts, someof us would never imagine how we might perhaps be an argument away from years of developingunforgiveness or a tragedy away from cursing God and developing a suicidal spirit. We basically refuseto let others know that we may be going through a wilderness period because we fail to admit it toourselves, first and foremost. We pile up imperfection upon imperfection; inadequacy uponinadequacy, hurt upon hurt and mask them under the best religious guise; ‘I am Blessed and HighlyFavoured’. Masked inadequacies, which are never dealt with, create a forever broken spirit and a crushed heart. So why do some Christians mask their inadequacies? There can be several reasons, several of which areintricately intertwined with our personal lives and experiences but one thing is for sure, the culture welive in plays a major role in this. Images on TV, tweets, Facebook post and pictures and other culturaltrends bombard us daily with "perfect" images about perfect people, and their perfect jobs, perfectspouses, perfect marriages, perfect gifts and overall the overt false representations of a 'perfect life'.No wonder people never linger towards 'imperfections' anymore because we're too busy trying to makeour lives 'perfect' for people to see that we've got it all together...when most of us are crumbling within. One of the dangers in succumbing to the practices of this culture is that we're a society that is losingtouch and dare I say, has lost touch with the true essence of Character, and developing our characters inChrist. Hear this: Living under the false assumption that you've 'arrived' does not speak of yourcharacter but rather validates you as another social media statistic. However, our inadequacies can be viewed as a blessing in disguise when we begin to perceive them inthe light God’s Word. Now this word "blessing" is used, not in the sense where one embraces theirweaknesses and tells themselves that they can never do better, but a blessing in the sense that God hasnever waited for a better opportunity to show you how much He loves you, how much He wants to workin you, heal you, restore you, and once again glorify Himself through you. How can we allow God to work through our deepest fears, closet prayers and personal struggles? Weneed to go back to being authentic with God...Moses gives us one of the best examples of someonewhose growth in character progressed only through his full dependence on God. The man waspractically a coward without God. He cried to God, doubted God even tested God but in the end, Godworked through the authenticity of His weaknesses and his consistent faith to give him true victory.Moses, one of the most insecure and inadequate men became a Winning man in the eyes of God. Youknow, the kind of victory that is talked about generations after his death. That kind of victorious legacy, which exists beyond time. Moses was real. The kind of real that promises you Eternal victory. Victory inhis heart, mind, spirit and in the Heavenly realm- True Victory. We must take note that victory, however,is not synonymous to perfection as were so often bombarded with. Victory comes from within andtranslates itself externally. A victorious person produces good fruits, has character, lives for notthemselves but for people and leaves a legacy in their sphere of influence and beyond. When we shift our gaze from self-consciousness to God-consciousness and decide to stop with thepretenses and face our Goliaths head on, we come to realize that these inadequacies create anopportunity for Him to extend His grace towards us and eventually reveal His glory in us. It simply givesus a greater testimony of His power. We must all embrace our feelings of inadequacy so that God can work through the skeletons in ourclosets and ultimately build our Character. As Paul shares with us in Romans 53-5, we should alwaysrejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance producescharacter, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love hasbeen poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Stay blessed- Louise des BordesEve Redefined Ministries

Why are several Christians today afraid of delving deeper into the roots oftheir personal inadequacies (character flaws which lead to sin and unbeliefsuch as bad habits, secret sins, temporary bouts of fear…etc.)? We live in a day and an age where we’re inadvertently taught by our growingculture, to mask our inadequacies; Pretending to have the happiestrelationships when our marriages are crumbling. Assuring ourselves that ourfamilies are intact when our children are really wayward. Speaking ‘life’ overothers when we’re secretly fighting the same demons. Preaching Puritywhen we’re struggling with lust. Telling others and ourselves that, ‘God isgood to us’ when we’ve got a mounting bitterness towards Him because ofgrowing failures. If God could expose the condition of some of our hearts, some of us wouldnever imagine how we might perhaps be an argument away from years ofdeveloping unforgiveness or a tragedy away from cursing God anddeveloping a suicidal spirit. We basically refuse to let others know that wemay be going through a wilderness period because we fail to admit it toourselves, first and foremost. We pile up imperfection upon imperfection;inadequacy upon inadequacy, hurt upon hurt and mask them under the bestreligious guise; ‘I am Blessed and Highly Favoured’. Masked inadequacies, which are never dealt with, create a forever brokenspirit and a crushed heart. So why do some Christians mask their inadequacies? There can be severalreasons, several of which are intricately intertwined with our personal livesand experiences but one thing is for sure, the culture we live in plays a majorrole in this. Images on TV, tweets, Facebook post and pictures and othercultural trends bombard us daily with "perfect" images about perfect people, and their perfect jobs, perfect spouses, perfect marriages, perfect gifts andoverall the overt false representations of a 'perfect life'. No wonder peoplenever linger towards 'imperfections' anymore because we're too busy tryingto make our lives 'perfect' for people to see that we've got it alltogether...when most of us are crumbling within.

We must all embrace ourfeelings of inadequacy sothat God can work throughthe skeletons in our closetsand ultimately build ourCharacter. As Paul shareswith us in Romans 53-5, weshould always rejoice in oursufferings, knowing thatsuffering producesendurance, and enduranceproduces character, andcharacter produces hope, and hope does not put us toshame, because God's lovehas been poured into ourhearts through the HolySpirit who has been given tous.

ZendelingI have been writing songs since I was sixteen....so I have manysongs, that still need to be recorded.WFMLastly, which gospel artist has inspired you on your journey? ZendelingRebecca St. James. I listened to her a lot in my teens and I wasso drawn by the way she sang so passionately. She soundedconfident and radical about her faith in Jesus. WFMZendeling, thank you so much for your story. We love yourmusic and look forward to hearing more of you in the future. We hope and pray that God gives you the right people who willhelp you grow further in this journey.

WFMWhen did you start to sing? ZendelingI started to sing around 9yrs old, but I used to just sing and not takeit seriously until six years ago. I posted a video on you tube anddid not think much about that, but then I started to get commentsfrom strangers telling me that I was gifted and that my songsinspired them.

WFMWhat happened then? ZendelingI started to take God seriously from the age of 18, so I had to pray and ask Him to use meas a channel for His messages. Although I received encouraging comments on youtube,it took me a while before I actually began to take this journey to another level. You see, Iam a very shy person, so I was not keen on all the attention this singing career wouldbring. And I was afraid! It took a lot of convincing from the Holyspirit and friends so Icould finally step over and let God do what He wants to do through me. WFMDo you write your own songs and where do the words come from? ZendelngYes I write my own sons. Ther are different ways I get words, but it is God working in theinside of me, that inspires me. For example with my song Avalance, I was just sitting atnight,, very tired and God started to give me words. It was so amazing, that He choosesme to be His messenger. Who am I that He chooses to use me? It just truly inspires me todo more and for His glory. WFMWhat is your vision, and where do you see yourself in the years to come? ZendelingWell, music wise, I am surrounded by lots of people. I am not business minded at all, butthey are helping me to go further with my music and teaching me the business aspectsof t, but I need to be comfortable that it is God who wants me to go in a certain direction.Hopefully I will have recorded more songs. It is just overwhelming for me the way theSpirit can move people. I still have my fears about the future but still trusting God thateverything will work out the way He wants it to.

becoming me! by ConstandeCooper

BECOMING ME by Constance Cooper Initially when I was first asked to write thisarticle, my first response was one of completeand utter joy. But then reality set in and Ithought to myself...'who are you Connie?' Iasked myself this question, I mean who am I right now at this very moment in time?So that was when I asked myself the question, 'where are you going and where have you comefrom? BECOMING ME by Constance Cooper Initially when I was first asked to write thisarticle, my first response was one of completeand utter joy. But then reality set in and Ithought to myself...'who are you Connie?' We are a society of people, at least I am, who loves bargains. Welove deals, sales, and who isn’t thrilled with a BOGO (buy one, getone free) sale? But in terms of the Kingdom of God, cheap is notalways a bargain. In fact, the more costly and the more expensive, the better the sacrifice. The prophet Gad instructed David to offerunto the Lord on the altar of sacrifice on Ornan's threshing floor. This was the ancient place of Mt Moriah where Abrahamworshiped the Lord when he was told to offer up Isaac. WhenOrnan saw David, he ran and bowed in reverence and offered togive David the floor, the ox, the implements, and the wheatneeded to sacrifice with. David refused him saying in essence, IWILL NOT GIVE MY GOD CHEAP WORSHIP. “King David said to Ornan, “No, but I will buy them for the fullprice. I will not take for the Lord what is yours, nor offer burntofferings that cost me nothing.” So David paid Ornan 600 shekelsof gold by weight for the site. And David built there an altar to theLord and presented burnt offerings.” - 1 Chronicles 21:24, 25 David paid for the sacrifice by purchasing the threshing floor, theoxen, the implements, and the wheat with full price. He refused touse another man's sacrifice as his own. He gave Ornan 600 shekelsof gold which is approx. $195,000 in today’s market. What doesthat say about worship? Why would the Lord consider David a manafter His own heart? Because David withheld nothing back fromthe Lord. And because he continuously poured himself out inworship and praise, the Lord continuously poured Himself out intoDavid's life. Even when David messed up, which we all do, becausehe had a reputation of worship and praise, he knew how to fallback into favor with the Lord.

David knew what it took to gain the Lord's attention. Now howabout us? Why does it take so long for us to find God in our placeof worship? Why is it that when we fall, we need someone tohelp us, call us, text us, inbox us, visit us, and pray for us to getback in favor with the Lord? Could something be wrong with our worship that we can’t moveGod? Could it be that we never personally learned to reach forthe Lord’s favor? Either we have a heart after our God, or wedon't. Either we know what real and genuine worship is or wedon’t. afraid to pay for it.

Holiness is a lifestyle of honesty, uprightness, justice and decorum. We exhibit holinessthroughthe medium of speech, behavior, orattitude. Similarly, holiness can described as a highstandardof morality. The canker of immorality in our society is so unconstrained, such that, weactunjustly without any sense of regret, remorse orprompting in our conscience. In years of yore, youcan easily identify a Christian from a non-Christian.Today, we flock together in thingswhich make itdifficult to hand pick a Christian from quintillionsof people. Astonishingly, theChristian and non-Christian attend “night clubs”, “pool party”,“potay”, “picnic”, “floating”, and“gamma and do allmanner of things in the name of socialization. Insome cases Christian tenantsfight their co-tenantsor land owners, some are insubordinate to their superiors and othersproduce substandard workafter collecting huge sums of money for aparticular project. If Children of GOD and Children of Belial aremanifesting similar or same characteristicsinoffices, schools, or public places, where then, laysour FAITH and TRUST in GOD? How do weinfluencesociety with the culture of CHRIST? How do wedepict Christ values? How do we winthe world forCHRIST? What kind of message do we offer them? How do we demand integrityfrom them when weare victims of immorality? And how do weaccelerate the spread of theGospel in ourlocalities? It is about time that we walk worthy ofthe vocation we are called. Wemust keep aflamethe love of CHRIST in unity of the Spirit; we mustseek and support thingsthat are right; we must inspire and transform lives through appropriate lifestyle of decentbehavior in communities.

We must as a matter of exigency alienate from vain or corrupt conversation which areunedifying; deceitful and youthful lust that are treacherous to our conjugal relationship withGOD; and financialmalfeasance, judicial injustices, andpolitical vindictiveness that derailourdignity. Let us haul up the flag of CHRISTthrough the lifestyle of holiness and proveto theworld around us that JESUS CHRIST isthe source of our being, He is the architect ofthe life welead and the focus of ourmessage. Let show the world that JESUS isthe centre of our FAITH,the one and onlyreason for Christianity, as well as theultimate important epitome forworld’shistory Dearly beloved reader, join me; andtogether, let us redefine holiness under thespectacles ofCHRIST’ Teachings andpassionately unveil to the world that as Daniel was infallible andStephen pious intheir days, we can do same and even more inthe twenty-first century andbeyond.
