KUTSCH EARNS PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS FOR STELLAR PERFORMANCE

WAUKESHA, Wis. (Duhawks.com) - Sophomore Kaitlyn Kutsch was named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, March 8. This is the first season for Loras as a member of the MWLC making Kutsch the first to Duhawk to earn conference honors. In Loras’ 12-3 victory over Illinois Institutde of Technology on Saturday, Kutsch scored nine goals, a program record, to lead the Duhawks to victory. The win was Loras’ first of the season, who had previously dropped matches to Augsburg and Midland. “She did well with finding the open net, which we know she is very capable of doing,” Head Coach Emily Goetz said of Kutsch’s outstanding performance. “Kaitlyn has been working so hard, overcoming so many obstacles, she deserves the recognition.” The highlight-reel worthy performance also set a program record for goals in a game for an individual as well as a team record of 12.
