WOODLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WEEKLY NOTES October 3, 2018 On Thursday, October 4th, 3rd grade will be going on a field trip to the Grignon Mansion. The 5th annual Woodland Fun Run will be held on Friday, October 5th. Friday, October 12th is a 2:00 pm release for Woodland Elementary students. Friday, October 12th is also a spirit day at Woodland School and the theme is red and white. PTO will be serving popcorn to all students. The next Woodland PTO meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 16th at 6:30 pm in the LMC. All parents are invited to attend and free childcare is provided. There will be no school on Thursday, October 25th, and Friday, October 26th. Mrs. Koll and Mrs. Marino will be leading this first ever Singing Games & Folk Dance fun filled family event. This event will be held on Friday, October 19th from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm in the Woodland gym. Those attending will be participating and learning games and dances that the children have been learning for many years. Come when you can and leave when you must. We look forward to seeing you there! Seeking Substitute Paraprofessionals – Help our students reach their potential! Do you enjoy helping kids and having a flexible schedule? We are looking for substitute paraprofessionals. Paraprofessionals assist teachers and students throughout the school day. Substitute paraprofession- als have a flexible work schedule and a lot of variety in their work. On Thursday, October 4th, 3rd grade will be going on a field trip to the Grignon Mansion. The 5th annual Woodland Fun Run will be held on Friday, October 5th. There is a PTO meeting on October 16 at 6:30 pm in the LMC. Free childcare is provided and

all parents are invited. Join us!

6th Annual Woodland School Fun Run The 6th Annual Woodland School Fun Run is this Friday October 5th! Money raised will be used to estab-lish classroom libraries! All students who raise $5 will receive a commemorative rubber bracelet! Stu-dents should wear their Fun Run t-shirts on the day of the run! Prizes for major winners in the elementary school are : Most Laps-Ride in a Fire Truck, Most Pledges-$100 Scheels Gift Card. For intermediate the prizes are: Most Laps-Badger Sports Park Escape Room Party of 4, Most Pledges-$100 Scheels Gift Card. Winners will be selected by a random drawing. Intermediate Social

All intermediate students are invited to stay after school on October 12 from 2:50-4:00 pm in the cafete-ria. There will be a DJ, games, and prizes. Admission is

Papermaker Youth Wrestling Club

The Kimberly Youth Wrestling Program is open to all youth in grades 4K through 6th grade.

IN OUR PROGRAM • Everyone participates. • The person is more important than the athlete. • Your child is taught the value of hard work, dedication, self-discipline, commitment, and

Substitute Teachers new to KASD are supported by helpful District

rate for our substitute teachers.
