1. In my day Job as a Pastor, I get to hear a lot of amazing testimonies of God s goodness

in answer to prayers and faith in God s word, but today I chatted with someone who

was in a hole of discouragement and I made up my mind to put together a WORD-COCKTAIL TO BEAT DISCOURAGEMENT. It is time to be lifted. You victory will

know no bounds in Jesus name. There is lifting in God.

2. Ola Lekan Fasina I got this testimony below 3 minutes ago while I was writing to

encourage the discouraged, God cares..Good morning Sir, miraculously I got an offer to

do firstbank interviews again in february,which usually doesn't happen until after

6months. I have passed all the interviews and done my medicals. I would be resuminganytime soon by Gods grace. All glories to God. I never knew anyone and it was the

toughest and best 7panel 3 stage interview I've ever done in my life. I have perfected all

my papers and all I'm waiting for now is my employment letter. I praise God.

3. Faith can rejoice before it sees the answer, your celebration should start immediately

you say AMEN. Once we finished a prayer evening in a home cell and a very

respectable/honourable brother called all his friends and rejoiced that his(TROUBLED)

immigration papers had come through(even though they were not physically). In a few

days they came in through the post and he called them to RE-REJOICE...

4. What are you worried about? You better rejoice,sleep and give thanks toGod for all you have. Some stay awake at night worrying about not having a

husband or a relationship while some are looking for a way to leave arelationship. Some want a husband while some want to return the husbandthey have married and get a refund. Well, get your priorities right, only Godcan give total peace and fullness of Joy. A man in your life cannot do whatonly God can do. Only God can make you happy. If you are not happy as a

single person, you need God not a man. Get a man after you have gottenGod. Philipians 4:4 Rejoice always , force yourself to rejoice.

5. Years ago as an overzealous and inexperienced trainer, I talked to people for hours until

past midnight and sometimes 1 am and they start to fall asleep, I usually ask, are you

sleepy (sleeping) and in their zeal, they always say no, well.......Human beings need to

When your God is a performer who never sleeps what are you worried about?

6. A lady threatened her Pastor(Thank God not me) saying "No good christian guy is coming to

me o, I will now marry the first guy that asks me from today, I dont care, guru or Olumba any guy that

comes" Why now ? Sister calm down and have a re-think, do all you can do "informed and wise

action and then wait for the dream. Habakkuk 2:3 Good News Translation

Put it in writing, because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the time is coming quickly, and

what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take

place, and it will not be delayed.

7. During the world war two, an elderly woman was not seen for a few

nights at the protective bomb shelter (the shelters protected peoplefrom German bombs that were falling nightly on London) her friends

concluded she was dead. When they saw her during the day they said,where have you been? why are you never awake and hiding in the bombshelters at night ? She said I read in the bible in Psalm 121:4Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. So Ithought, if God is awake and watching it will be stupid of me not tosleep. You can stay awake to work, study or pray,but you dont need tostay awake and worry. God is awake, go and sleep.

8. God does not put people in trouble so that he can teach them a lesson,think about it, our parents sent us to school to learn, they did not sendus to the "PRE FASHOLA OSHODI" to be trained by trouble, God will notget you into trouble, but He specializes in getting you out, never mix upthe two. If you look around and the address of your location is TROUBLE,recognise it , and also look around because you will find God s presencewaiting to get you out. I see you come out of the pit and the prison andget crowned in the palace IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS. Psalm 46:1God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Choose to believe God and to trust Him only as your source,Deuteronomy 8:18 But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is hethat giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenantwhich he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.During my first month in the UK I was told to speak to an IT GURU forprofessional career information, he told me how gloomy everything wasand how hard it was to get a job, and that EVERYTHING WAS DIFFICULT,AND THEN I WENT OUT AND GOT A GREAT IT JOB 2 WEEKS LATER .....

10.One of my Daughters in the lord gave out a Job last month(That means she had a

current job and was still being chased by recruiters and she told them someone else

can do it and the person got the job.. A SOLID JOB) The same thing is happening

to her this month.

11. People are looking for jobs, but the truth is EMPLOYERS ARE LOOKING

FOR PEOPLE. I SPOKE with an employer today who was frustrated cause he cant

get anyone with the skill he wants BELIEVE.

12.Cheer up and stir yourself up, the Land is green for you. Where ever youare is your green pasture today , enjoy God s blessings there and rejoicein His goodness, don t let me tell you about the man who had no shoesand then saw another with no legs before cheering up. Cheer up,miracles are happening around you daily,somebody just got saved,somebody just got a Job, somebody just got the man of their dreams,somebody just had a child, somebody just got their life changingcontract. God is working daily , He s not on holiday, Mark 9:23 Jesus saidunto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him thatbelieves. It is not difficult ,Start today, open your mouth or clicksomething, or type something to say I BELIEVE TOO.

14. A young child s operation was just cancelled. Immigration laws were justchanged to favour a group of people. God is working all the time. If youhave lost anything, rebuke the devil, but give thanks to God for what youhave , it is because of God that you have not lost everything.
