During a partnership meeting when was still here, Management and
Labor came to a verbal agreement that when assigning personnel to
the daily work schedule, that personnel would be assigned to their
assigned stations, if possible, to minimize movement. That
agreement was reached with the understanding that when and if
anyone tried to use the assignment of work (i.e. Acting Station
Chief / Acting Captain more frequently) for promotion purposes, or
and advantage of some kind, then the agreement would be null and
void and Management would assign personnel based on the rotational
schedule and personnel would be assigned work regardless of which
station they were assigned to.
