Community Based Rehabilitation Division TheconceptofCommunity BasedRehabilitationinitiated16 yearsbeforeinAshaBhavan Centrewithanaimtoimproving thesocio-economicconditionsof the persons with disabilities in India and ensuring Human Rights to them. Our main aim has always been to promote opportunities, protect the human rights of the persons with disabilities and give respect to their talents. Education and Training Division AshaBhavanCentre providesruraleducation& vocationalsupportto underprivilegedchildrenand personswithdisabilitiesfrom marginalised community in the country. We give opportunity to these children and persons with disabilities to hone and nurture their skills so that they can sustain themselves & become self-reliant in the future days. The various education&trainingprogrammes,whichareundertakenbyus includeavocationaltrainingcentreforthepersonswith disabilities, a chain of schools known as BVM, a supplementary educationprogramme,DLspecialeducationandahuman resource development programme. Supplementary Nutrition Lackofpropernutritionisthe majorcauseofdisabilityandso forpreventingthisAsha BhavanCentreservespoor malnourishedchildrenwith nutritiousandbalancedfood that contain high protein, vitamin and fat. Emergency Relief & Rehabilitation Weprovideimmediatereliefand rehabilitationtodisabledchildren andpeoplewhohavebeen affectedbythenaturaldisaster. Afterallthefood,water,tents, clothesandotherthingsare deliveredtothesepeoplewith disabilities, our recovery programmes are planned to assist them so that they can lead a better life in future.
