WORK OF ROMANIA

 In 1980, Nicolae Ceausescu, initiated a policy to eliminate the debt of the country, a reduction to the population of items such as meat, milk, eggs, running water and current light tratandose. In response, broke out the Romanian revolution of 1989, in the cities of Bucharest and Timisoara. The dictator Nicolae was arrested tried and executed the Christmas day.

The first democratics elections held in 1990, and it is chosen as the first President Ion Iliescu. The Constitution of Romania was created in 1991 and was reformed in 2003. The President is elected by popular vote every five years. The Romanian Parliament is composed by the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. The independent is judicial power and is based on the French Civil code

In 2004 to the present, the right-wing Traian Basescu (5th President of Romania) was elected President.In the year 2004 Romania joined the Alliance and took part in the war in Iraq. On 1 January 2007, Romania became a part of European Union
