    After worktask installation, the user can find it through the following steps: Start ProgramsWork Task Work Task System.When you start worktask, the New Project dialog box is displayed. The dialog box provides you

    with ways to start a project. You can: open a project or setup a new project.

    Open an existing projectTo open an existing project execute the following steps: File Menu Open Project. In the

    window shown below (image 8), choose the name of the chosen project and then click on OKbottom.

    Inputting a new projectTo record a new project go to the menu File New Project.The window below will be shown.Fill in the data and click OK.Note: If you wish to create a folder for your new projects, select the place where the folder should

    be created and click in "Create new folder.We recommend you to keep the projects in the standard folder, which is located inside the

    programs own folder.

    Preparing the short-term planInputting teams and staff

    Now that you have created your new project, you have to input the teams.Open the menu Project Team Input

    To insert the employees in the teams, select the team and click on the button Input Teams.

    The program allows the input of 21 teams with 16 employees each.Input the necessary teams.

    Inserting activitiesTo insert new activities in your planning you must fill in the data in the form

    INSERT/CHANGE TASK (shown below) and click on the button INSERT CHANGE

    The weekly schedule may be filled in two different ways:- Day control:In this method it is not necessary to use numbers, only fill in with the letter x.- Employee control:The fields must be filled using the number keys, indicating the number of workers allocated to

    execute the task.

    Changing activitiesTo change the activities it is necessary to select the task to be changed in the plan task grid. After

    the selection, only change the data in the form and click on the button INSERT CHANGE.Note: Both for inserting and changing tasks, if you do not click on the button INSERT

    CHANGE, the data related to the task will be lost after you close the program.

    Inserting and changing medium-term activitiesTo insert an activity in a medium-term week you can:- Click on the chosen activity with the right button and click on Reschedule for- Navigate until the chosen week and use the field to add new activities.

    How to transfer activities between weeks?You can replan an activity from one week to another. To transfer a chosen activity, first you have

    to select it. Then, clicking the mouse right botton on the selected activity you can choose which week youwant to transfer it. At the end of the process you can click on the OKbottom.

    Planning for the next horizonIn the planning for the next horizon, the program takes weeks 2,3, etc and transforms them into

    weeks 1,2,etc of the next plan. Also, the program identifies the incomplete activities of the first week of thecurrent plan and insert them in the first week of the next plan

    In order to use this function in Work-Task you should open the last plan inserted in your project andaccess the menu Tools Planning for the next horizon

    After clicking on this menu, a week selection screen will appear. There it will be possible to checkthe creation of a new week.

    Opening PlansYou can access any plan previously created in your project through the menu: File Open Plan.Select the desired planning week and click OK.

    Managing Constraints

    Adding constraints using the right button of the mouseConstraints are always related to an activity inserted in the plan; therefore, in order to add a

    constraint you must:- Click on the activity with the mouse right button.- Click on the option Add constraint.- Fill in the constraint fields.- Click on Add.

    Using the CAS module (Constraint Analysis System)

    The CAS was created to make the management of your constraints easier; it can be openthrough the menu Tools Constraints.When CAS is opened the following Color code will appear:

    - White Text, Red Background Expired- Black Text, White Background Expires in more than two days.- Red Text, White Background Expires in up to two days (maximum).

    Applying filtersCAS offers 2 types of filters for the display of constraints:-Class Filter Shows only the constraints associated to the selected class-Date Filter Shows constraints according to their dates (Expired, About to

    expire, Pending, All)

    Printing constraintsTo print the constraints you must select the filters you judge appropriate and click

    on File Print.

    Reports

    Visualizing reports on the screenVisualizing reports on the screen is achieved through the menu Tools Graphs.The window above will be opened (Image 20); on its upper part you can select which part of

    the report must be displayed on screen as well as the weeks that compose the period report.

    Printing reportsDifferently from the on-screen report, the printed report is displayed in full; you cannot choose which

    part you want to visualize.To print the report click on File Print report.On the window that will be displayed you will be able to choose the printer and the period to be

    considered in the printed report.

    NB: During on-screen visualization or report printing, a window might pop-up asking you toselect a few problems. This occurs when the program automatically detects more than the threemain problems in a project.

    Week printing

    To print the week that is being displayed on the screen use the menu File Print Week; ifnecessary, change printer and click on Print.

    Logo selectionThe program allows you to use your company logo on the screen. In order to do this choose the

    image (.jpg, .bmp, .gif) through the menu Tools Logo Select LogoThe selected logo will also be used on the head of the printed report, week print-out and constraint

    print-out.If you do not want to exhibit your company logo, use: Tools Logo Blank

    Changing InformationIn order to alter a projects data (Person in charge, Foreman, Trainee) click on menu Project

    Change Information, change the necessary data and click on Change.

    Defining start dateThe definition of the start date is made for each plan. At the creation of a new plan, a start date is

    generated automatically: 7 days after the start date of the previous plan. However. The date can be alteredafter the creation of the new plan through the menu Project Define start date (Current Plan).

    Excluding ProjectsEach time a project is created on the computer, more than one file is created. To make project

    exclusion more user friendly a routine was created. The user must locate the project in the computer, selectit and click on the Deletebutton.Access to this window is through the menu File Exclude Projects

    Importing / Exporting

    ExportingIn order to export a project you must access menu File Export Project. Select the

    source, the project and the target destination, click on Export. Exportation is carried out through a.ZIP file.

    ImportingFor the importation process you must locate the .ZIP file created during exportation and

    the location where the project must be placed.

    Controlling the short-term planAfter inserting the tasks of a given plan, you should keep it updated, altering the percentage offinished tasks and the problems occurred during task execution.

    What does PPC mean?PPC shows the percentage that was executed in each week. It is divided in 2 fields:- PPC week Percentage of tasks excluding extra tasks- PPC Extra Task Percentage of tasks including extra tasks

    Problem recordingThe program allows you to record 2 problems per task. In order to record the problems you

    must select them in the field INCLUDE / CHANGE TASK and click on the INSERT MODIFYbutton(Image 27).

    The 2 problems must always be different. Otherwise the program will consider one of themas No Problem.
