Use quality photos! Use Unsplash.com for free high resolution images. Hire An editor/proofreader. Your eyes should not be the only eyes on the book. Using a friend is great, too, but a professional editor is a must.Use quality photos of yourself. No social media selfies. Hire a professional to do what you can't do: proofreading, editing, converting files, photography, etc.Learn what book size is best for you before self-pubishing.Determine a price point for your book before it is self-published. Consider, your expense to make it. Don't undervalue your work or overprice yourself.Always receive a printed proof for print books, first, before the self-published book is distributed. Ask for reviews.Create an author's webpage or social media site. Go for an ebook and a printed book. It's a little more work, but holding your piece of work in your hands will feel wonderful.

book in its final draft

form.

Give them a reasonable

timeframe to submit

review considering the

length of the book.

Based upon their review

and recommendations,

make any necessary

changes to finalize.

Include them in the

Acknowledgments.

Submit to an editor.

Get professional

headshot/photo.

Edits and reviews should

have been submitted

and returned by week 4.

Sales channels should be

decided.

Upload ebook to all

selling sites.

Test everything. Order

printed proofs for

paperback and purchase

your ebook. How do they

look? How was the

selling process and

delivery of the ebook? If

changes are needed,

make them now. If not,

you are good to launch

your book!

book. Give a teaser of

the cover, description,

and offer a special price

or incentive for preorders.

social media platform for

the book/author.
