Quote for Halloween:
There is nothing funny about
Halloween this sarcastic festival
reflects, rather, than infernal
demand for revenge of
children on adult world!!!
-Jean Baudrilland.
Working on the Creative Wall! =D
Here we are working on our creative wall I n
the class because after the Breast Cancer
Awareness month.We also have Halloween
month in school . Everyone helped in making
the charts, painting, finding information, and
printing out of pictures. We are glad that we
got a cooperative class like this which works in
every situation.
November 2013
Outside board! Girls working for the outside board were busy till
the end of the date given because we were trying
to make the board as attractive as we could as it
wouldn't look more beautiful if we printed things
out rather than making it. Our topic for the
board was ’TECH SMART’ so we planned to make
a galaxy background so it would look like going
through the world of technology and then we
put some information about the most famous de-
vices and the most famous electronic companies
in the world. We hope everyone likes our board
and appreciates it when they see it!!!
A trip to Dubai cricket stadium!!!
Girls who take Urdu as second language were ex-
tremely excited when they heard that they were
going for an educational trip to the Dubai Cricket
Stadium to watch a test match between Pakistan
and South Africa. We also took some drums with us
and motivational posters. We were delighted to
see the players face-to-face and willed to get their
autographs. We came across many new things
about this sport. We had loads of fun and we en-
joyed a lot, we also had some refreshments like
sandwiches, doughnuts, biryani and croissants. We
were playing drums and beats the whole time. I can
say that this was the most enthusiastic and memo-
rable field trip I have ever had and I hope to have
it some time again.

Exams on run!!!
Only one week left for exams to start.
Revisions, clarification of doubts and rushing
to finish the syllabus is the main objective of
students and teachers these days out of
which the outcome is strong. As Nelson
Mandela said:
”Education is the most powerful weapon we
can use to change the world.”
Flag hosting
The official flag hosting day in the UAE was on 6th
November 2013. Everyone was asked by the govern-
ment of the UAE to host the flag at 9 ‘o’ clock
sharp. In our school the flag hosting ceremony in-
volved a performance by the school band and
speeches by the school boy and the former school
boy. Love and accord towards the country was ex-
pressed by all.
Serving the Community
Community service has always been one
of the top priorities of The Westminster
School. Reflectively, helping our broth-
ers and sisters who are flood stricken in
Philippines is very important. Funds
were collected from each and every class
in huge numbers.
NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONS
