Intro. to Grids• Gemstone grids consist of crystals placed in concise geometric arrangements in order to affect the

flow of energy for a specific purpose. The properties of the stones used, combined with their placement creates a unique energy frequency that can be used to enhance your intention.

• According to Naisha Ahsian, crystal grids can be broken down into two distinct groups, grids and arrays. Naisha explains that crystal grids are “an alignment or formation of crystals or stones to generate an electromagnetic field with specific energetic characteristics.” She defines a crystal array as, “a mandala-like construction that does not follow the geometry of the stones, but may be based on color or intuition.” For the purposes of this workshop, both of the above types of arrangements will be referred to as grids.

• The following is from the book, “Crystal Clear: A Guide to Quartz Crystal” by Jennifer Dent: “By using precise configurations, whereby the crystal points are aligned exactly, the energy that is focused out from the point forms an interference pattern, thus creating a mandala of energy. This energy mandala, like the molecular structure of the crystal is highly organized and ordered, and anything within the configuration is therefore subjected to this highly organized energy. Due to sympathetic resonance, anything that is, as it were, out of alignment, will be pulled back into alignment by the highly ordered structure within the environment of the gridwork.”

• A crystal grid may be as large or as small as you like. You can use any size of stones, and the grid may be placed on a table-top, or may surround your entire home.

• The simplest grids consist of a stone placed in each corner of a room. You may use all one type of stone or many different types (depending on your purpose and intention). This is often referred to as “gridding a room”.

Why Use Grids:• To cleanse & energize food

• For protection

• For healing (distant & in-person)

• To cleanse or purify a space

• For manifesting

• And much more! Just remember not to limit yourself. Be open to your intuition and explore the many options of grid creation (i.e. using unique stone combinations, creating grids in uncommon places, or even making three-dimensional grids).

Intro. to Sacred Geometry:

• “Sacred Geometric forms are vehicles to become a channel through which the earth could receive the abstract, cosmic life of the heavens.” -Robert Lawlor from “Sacred Geometry: Philosophy & Practice”

• “Each geometric form creates a like arrangement of energy patterns on a vibrational level...Certain attributes...are activated by these energy patterns created by the geometric formations.” -Jennifer Dent, from the book, “Crystal Clear: A Guide to Quartz Crystal”

Triangle: Represents empowerment, amplification, the trinity (the power of three), and preservation

Square: Represents balance, equality, earth energy, stability, the four directions (the compass points), and harmony

Pentagon: Represents the 5 elements (earth, air, fire, water, and spirit/ether)

Hexagon: Represents, transformation, the joining of the etheric (spiritual) and the physical (grounding), the balance of male & female energy, spiritual expansion/ascension, and transcendence

Platonic Solids:• The tetrahedron is composed of four sides (faces) &

six edges and represents the element fire.

• The cube is composed of six sides & twelve edges and represents the element earth and the color red. Pyrite is an example of a naturally-occurring cube.

• The octahedron is composed of eight sides & twelve edges and represents the element air and the color yellow. This formation is particularly useful for grounding and clearing. Fluorite is an example of a naturally-occurring octahedron.

• The dodecahedron is composed of twelve sides & thirty edges and represents the element ether or spirit and the color violet.

• The Icosahedron is composed of twenty sides & thirty edges and represents the element water and the color blue.

• The merkaba is a 24-sided shape (like a three-dimensional Star of David or a double-pyramid) and is most often used to represent balance and the idea of “as above, so below.”

Grids for Feng Shui:

• According to the ancient Chinese art of Feng Shui, parts of your home directly connect to certain areas of your life. This is most often represented in a Bagua Map. By gridding your home according to the Bagua Map, you can change the energy of your home, and, in turn, of your life.

Bagua Crystals:

Using Bagua Crystals:• The Bagua Map can be applied on multiple levels. For instance, it can

be used in one room of your home, as well as on the entire home. For example, if you wanted to increase prosperity, you may want to place a piece of Citrine in the far, left corner of the room in the back left of your home (this way, the energy is working exponentially).

• You may also choose to grid a room or an entire home using the entire Bagua Map. If gridding a space in this way, you would need nine crystals (one to represent each of the nine areas of the map) per room.

SIDE NOTE #1: When following the principles of feng shui to make changes in your energy environment, it is best to slowly make small changes. Making too many changes too quickly, or making a very large change can shift the energy rapidly, which may not result in the desired effect.

SIDE NOTE #2: Many authorities on Feng Shui recommend the use of a “crystal” as a feng shui “cure” or “remedy.” It is often recommended to hang a “crystal” in a window to break up the light and scatter stagnant chi energy. However, it is important to note that the “crystal” being referred to is cut, leaded glass , not a crystal as we use for healing.

Medicine Wheel Grids:• This crystal medicine wheel is based on the

Hopi Medicine Wheel and is set upon a Black Obsidian Base. It features White Howlite, Yellow Jasper, Red Jasper and Black Obsidian, which represent each of the four sacred directions of the horizontal plane. The vertical plane of existence is represented by a Turquoise stone, set in the center of the wheel, symbolizing the coming together of Mother Earth and Father Sky.

Stone Correspondences:

• White Howlite: North Direction (Horizontal Plane) (Air Element)

• Yellow Jasper: East Direction (Horizontal Plane) (Sun/Fire Element)

• Red Jasper: South Direction (Horizontal Plane) (Water Element)

• Black Obsidian: West Direction (Horizontal Plane) (Earth Element)

• Turquoise: Earth & Sky (Vertical Plane)

Creating a Crystal Medicine Wheel:

1. First, gather one large stone, twenty-three medium stones, and twelve small stones –36 stones in all.

2. Designate an area for your circle, preferably out of doors. The circle should be comfortable enough for you to stand comfortably at each of the four directions (or you can adapt this to a small, table-top wheel).

3. Place the largest stone in the center of the circle to represent the Earth. Then position seven medium stones around the center stone in acknowledgement of each of the elemental clans – Fire, Water, Air, Earth, the Earth Mother, Grandmother Moon, and Father Sun. (The seven stones may also be associated with the seven colors of the rainbow, the seven ancient planets, and the seven spirit energy centers/Chakras).

4. Next, choose four more medium sized stones. These are called spirit keepers and are to be placed at the four directions of the outside diameter of the circle, east, west, north, and south. Move counter-clockwise, starting with north at the top, followed by west, south, and east.

5. Twelve more medium stones comprise the twelve moons of the Medicine Wheel, the sacred shields. Place three of these stones between each of the four directions. These twelve stones may also be associated with the twelve zodiac or astrological signs.

6. Finally, stone pathways, using the small stones, are positioned between the four quarters of the wheel – spokes that extend outward from the inner circle of seven stones to each of the four spirit keepers. Fill in these four pathways with three small stones for each spoke.

More on the Medicine Wheel:

• To create your crystal medicine wheel, you may stones you have found in nature (as long as they were taken with permission and were not removed from any protected areas), or you may choose to use stones that correspond with the parts of the wheel (i.e. the elements, the directions, the chakras, the planets, the astrological signs, etc). PLEASE NOTE: There are also seven precious Buddhist stones (i.e. Gold, Silver, Pearl, Sapphire/Ruby, Cat’s Eye Quartz, Diamond, and Coral), as well as seven Stones of the Muslim Seven Heavens (i.e. Red Gold, White Silver, White Pearl, Ruby, Emerald, Zircon, & Pure Shining Light), as well as seven stones for the days of the week (i.e. Monday-Pearl, Moonstone, or Clear Quartz Crystal; Tuesday-Ruby or Lodestone; Wednesday- Sapphire or Agate; Thursday-Garnet or Fire Agate; Friday-Emerald or Holey Stone; Saturday- Diamond or Jet, & Sunday-Topaz or Goldstone).

• Some traditions believe there are 13 moons (if counting the Blue Moon, instead of just the 12 recommended here). The 13 moons (with stone correspondences) are as follows:

1. Wolf Moon–January: Labradorite (Spectrolite), Moldavite, Selenite2. Ice Moon–February: Clear Crystal, Diamond, Sugilite3. Storm Moon–March: Amethyst, Coral, Hiddenite (Green Spodumene)4. Growing Moon–April: Chrysocolla, Chrysoprase, Jade5. Hare Moon–May: Emerald, Peridot, Green Zircon6. Mead Moon–June: Amber, Malachite, Pearl7. Planetary Crystal Grid:

Activating Crystal Grids:• To activate and enhance the energy of the grid, you may use a clear Quartz crystal laser wand to link all crystals

within the grid. When using a laser wand in this way, it becomes a Master crystal. To begin, point the laser wand toward the center of the grid and then toward one of the stones in the grid, and then back to the center. Repeat this pattern, each time moving to another stone in the grid.

• Visualize each of these connections as lines of white light, linking the energy of each individual stone into one unit. Finally, point the termination of your laser wand toward the center of the grid to infuse it with universal energy so that it may carry out its purpose (it is suggested that you hold your intention in your mind while infusing the grid with energy).

• Alternatively, you may choose to instead touch each crystal with the termination of the Quartz laser wand.

• Yet another method of grid activation is to “draw” three clockwise circles around the grid (if your intent is to add energy to the situation) or three counter-clockwise circles around the grid (if your intent is to remove energy from the situation).

• If your grid is disturbed and crystals are moved out of alignment, the grid will need to be re-activated. Additionally, if you add stones to the grid or take stones away, the grid will need to be re-activated.

Attuning Stones to Your Grid:

• To attune stones to the energy of your grid, program them with the same intent for which your grid was created.

• Additionally, ask/program the stone to receive and store the energy transmitted by the grid.

• Place the stone inside the grid (as close to the center as possible).

• After placing the stone within the grid you need to re-activate your grid with the master crystal. After a minimum of 24 hours, you may remove your stone form the grid.

• After removing the stone, you must re-activate the grid using the master crystal.

• Carry your stone with you to bring the energy of your grid to your life even when you are not near it. If you feel that the stone is not working as well as it once was, you may need to repeat the process of attuning the stone to the grid (approximately every 90 days or if a major life change occurs).

• Depending on the purpose of your grid you may want to attune more than one stone at a time (i.e. if the purpose of the grid was to protect your family, you may want to attune enough stones to so that you are able to give one to each person). This is done in the same manner as with one stone (i.e. many stones may be placed within the grid at once as long as the alignment of the grid crystals is not disturbed).

• If the grid is disturbed at any time, your grid will need to be re- activated and your stone will need to be re-attuned).

Primary & Secondary Grid Energies:• The energy of grids can be increased exponentially by creating grids within grids. The largest grid is always

considered the primary grid. According to Naisha Ahsian, the primary grid “creates a large, coherent field that will also carry the energy of the secondary grid.” Therefore, the primary grid acts as an amplifier to the intention of the secondary grid. The geometric shape of your primary and secondary grids may be the same or different from one another depending on your purpose and intention.

Dimensional Doorways:• According to author Naisha Ahsian, a dimensional door way is defined as, “a crystal grid that is attuned to a specific

frequency in order to provide energetic support for accessing alternate dimensions.” She goes on to define dimensions as, “mathematically theorized planed of coherent vibration that can coexist in the same place by vibrating at different rates so that there is no interference between planes. There are eleven mathematically theorized dimensions.”

• By using crystals and stones, which have a constant, and perfect vibrational rate (defined by their geometry), you can create doorways to other planes of existence (i.e. different energetic vibrations).

Tapping Into the Earth Grid:• The following exercise is from the book, “Healing with Gemstones by Pamela Louise Chase &

Jonathan Pawlik.

“An ‘energy light grid,’ that is, the etheric subtle body of the planet, surrounds planet Earth. This light grid provides the exterior framework through which planet Earth’s form is maintained. Contained within this outer grid are internal light grids that are formed through interlocking that takes place among mineral, plant, and animal species at their locations throughout the planet. The more widely distributed a species is, the greater the internal grid pattern it weaves as part of the planet’s structure.

Fractures or upheavals within the Earth’s body, caused by human or natural sources, disconnect the internal light grids. If allowed to continue in this state imbalance will exist not only in that area, but throughout the planet, since all energy is interconnected. When you hold in your mind the focus of harmony and flow of life-force energies in any imbalanced area, you are helping to bring healing energies and balance to the planet Earth.

To do this, picture planet Earth in your third eye with spokes of pure White Light emanating from her North and South pole areas, and enveloping the planet in a large ball. When you hold this vision in a meditative state with clear Quartz Crystal, you amplify the external light grid that maintains Earth’s form. See the energy as a moving rainbow of colors, infusing the Earth with the gifts of each ray. The choices that you make in how you give your energy can reflect the same quality of pure Unconditional Love given to you by the kingdoms of nature.”

Using Pendulums for Grid Creation:

• You may use a pendulum to determine:

• the type of stones to use in your grid

• the exact location in which you should place the stones

• the order in which the stones should be placed.

Custom Grids:1. Clear yourself and your space of all unwanted energy

2. Ground and center yourself

3. Create a purpose or intention for your grid (be as clear and concise as possible); it may be helpful to write this message out on a small piece of paper and place it in the center of your grid

4. Select the stones you will use to create your grid (you may do this intuitively, by dowsing with a pendulum, by scanning the energy with your hand, etc.); it is recommended that you select stones that have properties that correspond to your overall purpose

5. Select a geometrical layout (You may do this intuitively, by dowsing with a pendulum, etc.); it is recommended that you select a shape that corresponds with your overall purpose

6. Place the stone (with intention) into the geometric arrangement you have chosen

7. Activate your grid

8. Devote time each day to connect to the energy and intention of your grid; you may choose to do this by meditating (within your grid if it is large or while gazing at it if it is small), by attuning a stone to the energy of your grid and carrying it with you or using it as a touch stone, by drawing energy into your body from the grid (by standing within it if it is large or by placing your hands over it if it is small), etc. This will make your grid a place of personal power, healing, and recharging of your energy. Give thanks for the energy you receive from the grid and then re-ground and center yourself before returning to your day-to-day thoughts.

Baer Grid Rules:1. For ideal results, the grid should be permanent

2. Before creating a grid, the environment should be physically and energetically cleansed

3. For ideal results, the crystals used should be similar in size, shape, and energetic qualities

4. The primary horizontal axis of the grid should be aligned with the magnetic North and South poles of the Earth

5. Geometric accuracy and alignment is important when setting up the grid

6. Size (diameter) matters and is in direct correlation with the width and height of the energy vortex created

7. Each crystal in the grid should be programmed with the intent of creating the grid as well as with the energy of the geometric formation being used (to enhance the energy flow and generation)

8. The use of a capstone (suspended crystal) or of a central crystal is important in order to stabilize and integrate the energy of the grid

9. You may combine the use of other crystals, Light tools, or healing therapies with gridwork
