• The property includes but is not limited to lockers, parking lots, cars, and work stations
• Do not possess or take prescription drugs that are not written out to you specifically
Smart decision making
Drugs and alcohol:
• Each department conducts random drug screenings throughout the year
• The company reserves the right to search and screen for drugs/alcohol based on reasonable suspicion
Smart decision making
Drugs and alcohol:
• Reasonable suspicion includes but is not limited to:
• Red or glossy eyes
• Abnormal statements or behavior
• Slurred speech
• Mood swings
Smart decision making
Scenario 1:
•John just finished his break. A manager overhears him telling a coworker about smoking a joint in his car. Does the manager have the right to make John take a drug screen ?This is an inappropriate conversation to have at work, on or off the clock. Disciplinary action may occur as a result of these comments.
The manager will contact Security and a reasonable suspicion drug test can be administered as a mere result of John making these comments.
Smart decision making
Scenario 2:• Kelly’s coworker, Richard, asks to store his iPad in her locker. She offers to give him her locker combination. What is wrong with this situation ?Never share your locker combination with anyone. Never offer to store valuable/expensive items for others.
You lose the security of having a safe place to store your items by sharing your combination. You don’t know who will end up knowing your combination.
Smart decision making
Scenario 3:•Todd must take prescription pain meds due to a recent surgery. Kim is complaining of a headache. Todd offers her some of his medicine. What should Kim do?Kim should not take any prescription medications that are not prescribed to her – this is a violation of the Drug and Alcohol Policy.
Kim should notify a supervisor and then visit First Aid if she feels she cannot continue to successfully and safely perform her job duties.

• To request a security escort please contact your supervisor, a manager, or security officer
• Security officers are constantly patrolling the park and are ready to assist both employees and guests
Aware of your surroundings
Scenario 1:• Susan is suffering from a common cold. Is this a valid reason to visit First Aid?If Susan is sick, she should follow her department’s proper call-off procedures and visit her doctor instead of coming into work. Employees should not report to their scheduled shift and go straight to First Aid. First Aid should only be used for work related injuries or illnesses that occur while at work.
Bullying:• Deliberate or repeated unwanted behavior that is physically or psychologically intimidating, offensive, degrading or humiliating
• Examples of bullying include:
Teasing, hitting, stealing, spreading rumors, intentional exclusion, cyber-bullying, name calling, etc.

Friendly environment
Threats: • There is no such thing as an “innocent threat”
• You can not always control how your message is received. Even if your INTENT is to joke around, your comments could be perceived as a THREAT.
• If you feel threatened at work, notify your supervisor or manager immediately
Friendly environment
Threats: • Examples of threats:
“You’re always late for work! I could just kill you sometimes!”
“You’re going to wish you didn’t do that!”
“Do you know who you’re messing with?”
Friendly environment
Scenario 1:
• Craig finds Chad sitting on a bench, crying during one of his breaks. Craig posts that Chad is a “wimp” on Facebook. Is this a bullying offense that is reportable at work?
Friendly environment
Posts on social media sites can effect the work environment, even if they are made at home when the employee is not working. These posts can easily lead to work related rumors, bullying and threats.
Any information that is posted while the employee is on the clock may be a violation of the Electronic Resources Policy and grounds for termination.
Scenario 2: • You overhear Sam saying he’s going to fight Kyle at school the next day. How should you respond?
Friendly environment
Referencing a potential fight at SCHOOL is still inappropriate to talk about in the WORK environment.
This comment should immediately be reported to a supervisor or manager to ensure all employees feel safe and comfortable at work.
