Sara: Why? What’s up?

Pete: Well, I started out early, but it was rush hour, and there was a lot of traffic. It took me thirty minutes to get to the shopping center. Then, the traffic lights near the shopping center weren’t working. I was stuck in traffic for about half an hour.

Sara: half an hour? But you’re three hours late, not one hour!

Pete: I know, I know. I got out of town and got to the highway, but guess what. Construction!

There was construction for about ten miles, and it took me about an hour to get off the highway.

Sara: And?

Pete: so I decided to pass, and…

Sara: and?

Pete: Uhm, I had an accident. There was a car coming the other way, and I didn’t see it.

Sara: Are you all right?

Pete: Yes, I’m fine, and the other driver is fine, too. But the car is … well, the thing is … I’m afraid we need a new car.

Sara: Oh no!

Pete: But that’s not all.

Sara: You mean there’s something else?

Pete: Uh, yes. The other driver was a Police Officer.

Sara: Where are you now?

Pete: I’m at the Police Station.

Sara: How awful!

Pete: Sarah? Can you come and get me? The address of the police station is…
