World Cup final Spain vs. AustraliaThis is Brian Ly and Im your commentator. Its a wonderful atmosphere tonight,and of course it is because two national teams are on a winning streak: Spainand Australia, whichs very strange because I dont remember the last timeAustralia getting into the finals so this should be interesting.

The managers are now having final worlds with the teams and here they comeonto the pitch. The two teams lines up on the field for the national anthem, thereferee then tosses the coin to see which way the teams are going.

The referee blows his whistle and Spain has the kick-off, the ball goes back toXavi, they pass around the defensive area, Puyol, Capdevila, Sergio Ramos, Piquethen Silva, he decides to take on. Silva does a few step-over and flicks the ballthrough Culinas legs, he sprints down the wing and crosses down to FernandoTorres, Torres knocks the ball from his forehead, just over the bar, goal-kick.Schwartzer goes short to Lucas Neil, Moore, Grella and now Cahill in possessionfor Australia. What can Cahill do with it? He makes a run down field and issurrounded by two defenders, Cahill rolls the ball right and flicks the ball left behind his leg. Both defenders get confuse, the defence is open and Cahill gives athrough ball to Kennedy as Sergio Ramos slides in for a tackle but times it wrongand hooks Kennedys ankle, he slips down and stays down. I think that hurt him,the referee blows his whistle and shows Ramos the yellow card; the Australianmanager has made a substitution with the injured player Kennedy for McDonaldbecause I do nt think he can go on.

Spain should be more worry about where the free kick is than the yellowbecause it s not very far out from goals, Mark Bresciano is the taker, he lines upand runs up at the ball, the wall of four Spanish players look worried as the ballcurves past their heads. Casilas dives at the ball but it rebounds off the crossbarand into the air, Cahill goes for a header, smash! Its in the back of the net. Goal!Oh-no! The assistant referee raises the flag and its offside, the players arefurious, he was convinced he was onside but the referee waves him away. Casilastakes the kick and boots it down to David Villa, Villa traps it with his chest andlobs it to Xabi Alonso then he passes back to Villa, he body feints to the right andveers to the left but Neil whips the ball off him and lobs to Harry Kewell. Kewelltakes a run down the line and rainbow flicks it over Puyol then crosses to Scott

McDonald, he attempts a scissor kick and smashes the ball to the top right handcorner. Casilas is there to make the save but cant hold on and taps it out of play,last came off an opponent so its an Austra lian corner and Bresciano can cross it in.

He decides to go to the back post to Grella but Casilias snatches it from the air, hethrows it to Capdevila, he then lobs it to Xavi and passes to Torres but Moreintercepts and clears it out of play. Throw in, Iniesta throws long to Pique thenpasses to Puyol, and now Alonso, Emerton sliding in dangerously but Alonsoflicks the ball over Emertons leg and chops right then he lobs it to Villa. Villamakes a run and he shoots, Schwarzer dives at the ball, it hits the crossbar andit s gone in. Goal!!!!!!!!!!!! What a shot he couldnt have hit it any better, Spain nowhas the advantage 1-0.

Australian kick-off, Chipperfield, Culina, Neil, More, Cahill and now Kewell,Kewell gives a through ball to Breciano, Breciano running into the box and rollsthe ball right as the Casilas dives at his feet. Breciano trips over as the ref blowshis whistle. PENALTY! This is a double whammy because the referee has shownthe red card to Casilas and he is being sent off, the Spanish manager has made asubstitution Xabi for Pepe. Kewell lines up for the penalty, lunges at the ball but pauses in his run-up and decides to chip the keeper, Pepe dives at the ball but theonly thing that he could see is the ball flying over him. GOAL!!! It s the equalizer,trick the keeper with a pause during his run and when it works for him like that it looks good.

Australia is back in this, one all, Spain kick-off, Xavi receives the ball and passesback to Silva, then Iniesta, back to Capdevilla, sharing the ball nicely and back tothe keeper, now whats Pepe playing here? His making a run himself and straight into trou ble if hes not careful, Pepe doges past McDonald and Cahill. He goesround Emerton and zips through Grella, now his showing some good quick feet there, chance here, will he shoot? Knocks it right in the bottom corner. Goal!!!!!!Captains goal leading by example, hes so important to them, now I dont usuallysee a goalkeeper scoring a goal and first his teammate thought he was crazy.

2-1, Australian kick-off, Cahill passes back to Chipperfield, to Moore, now Neil, hetakes a run down the line and lobs it down to McDonald. He runs with the balland Puyol chases him on the left side, McDonald rolls the ball to the left, Puyolputs out his feet to block tackle but McDonald flicks it through his legs puts athrough ball to Cahill, his now in the clear, Cahill sprints down the field and hellshoot out side the box. The ball zooms away from the goals but curves back tothe right as the ball passe s Pepes fingertips, Goal!!!! Unbelievable, Australiamanages to equalize with the time of 43 minutes, Australian supporters go wildas Tim Cahill does his celebration, he runs to the corner and beats up the cornerflag.

2 all, Spanish kick-off with a minute to go, Torres to Villa, now Xavi, to Iniesta,Iniesta surrounded by defenders and goes back to Puyol, but pass cut off byKewell, he dribbles the ball down the line. He crosses down to Cahill; he leaps fora volley as Sergio Ramos goes for tackle, Sergio Ramos trips Cahill from behind.

Penalty! Yells the ref as he blows the whistle pointing to the spot , he then walksto Ramos and gives him a warning.

The goalie and Sergio Ramos argues with the ref but he waves them away. HarryKewell is the taker as he lines up for the penalty, takes a deep breath and bolts at the ball; he swings his foot back and smacks the ball. It flies low and fast to theright hand side of the goals as Casilias dives to the left, the ball smashes thewoodwork and goes out as the ref blows his whistle and yells half time.

The players of both sides slowly walk into the change room for a rest; they sit down to have drink as the coach and manager talks to them. After about a fewminutes (give or take a few) the players get back on the field to get the gamerestarted. The Spanish side is making a substitution; theyre taking Silva andreplacing him with Fabregas.

The second half kicks-off with Australia, the ball goes to Cahill, Chipperfield,Culina, Emerton, Neil, back to the gaolie and forward to Kewell, Torres goes forthe tackle , knocks the ball out of the sidelines, its out of play and for a throw.Bresciano goes long to Cahill but Xavi intercepts and passes to Iniesta, he crossesto Villa, Villa chest and volleys forward to Torres, Torres having a shot 10 metresout and misses by miles. What a waste from Torres, a terrible shot and we allknow he can do better. Goal kick for Schwartzer as he lobs it to McDonald, heheaders to Bresciano and passes back to Emerton, he lobs it across to Culina, helobs a through ball to Cahill as he sprints to the ball, he veers right looking at theball and then glaring to the goal, Pepe runs at Cahill as he chips the ball over him.All Pepe can see is the ball flying into the back of the net and Cahill celebrating,he cartwheels across the ground and does a back flip waving to the crowd. Its hissecond goal of the game, I think we all know what to expect from him by now.

Spain kicks-off 3-2, Spain is certainly feeling the pressure now, the ball goes back to Capevilla, short to Iniesta, long to Villa as he takes on. He does a right, left andright step over and rainbow flicks over Moore as he volleys the ball in the topcorner and scores the equalizer. Villa runs into the goals to get the ball, this is soclose it could be anyones game.

Australian kick-off, ball goes to Culina, Chipperfield, Emerton, back to Moore,across to Neil, flicks it up back to Moore as he headers back to Schwartzer, hepicks it up and volleys to Cahill. Cahill controls the ball with his chest, rolls theball to the right and gives a through ball to Kewell, Kewell traps the ball seeingthat he is blocked off by Spanish defenders. He has nobody to pass to as he chipsit back to Culina, he shows good control of the ball with fast footwork, he passesto Bresciano, then gives a through ball to McDonald. He bolts for the ball as threechase after him, he gets his foot on the ball and keeps on going, Puyol goes in fora tackle but McDonald just slips the ball in between his foot smirking as he runsinto the box. Pepe runs at McDonald, he does a right chop and passes back toKewell, the Spanish team is saying theyre offside but the referee yells play on.Open goal for Kewell as he taps the ball straight into the middle of the goals.Ramos tries to clear the ball but accidentally knocking it into there goals, OWNGOAL!!! Sergio Ramos falls to the ground with disappointment, Australianplayers and the crowd are going mad celebrating wildly, great set up byMcDonald, he s in top form today.

3-4 The Spanish team is angry with Ramos as they kick off, Villa, Torres,Fabregas who finally gets a touch of the ball, Cahill lunges at him, but Fabregasveers the ball to the right as Cahill trips him over. The ref blows his whistleshowing him the yellow card as he takes his name down into his book. Fabregastakes the free kick on the centre of the field, he lobs it long to Torres just outsidethe box ,he chests the ball and does a few juggles while holding off Lucas Neilbehind him. He flicks the ball over himself and Neil into the box, he keeps hiseyes on the ball while looking towards the goals and volleys the ball with all hisstrength, the ball curves to the right side of the goals, Schwartzer dives for theball, it hits the post and goes in. GOAL!!! Great skills shown by Torres, the scoresare level once again, Torres runs to the corner flag and does a spectacular back

flip and also grinning at his teammates.

4-4 Australian kick off with still 15 minutes left, this game could go onto extratime or even penalty. The ball starts with Cahill, then Kewell, Bresciano,Emerton, Grella, Culina, Moore, Chipperfield, Neil, sharing the ball nicely andnow Bresciano. He takes the ball down the wing to the corner flag, crosses to thefar post to Cahill, he leaps for a volley , smacking the ball through Pepes legs,Goal!!! Thats his hat trick so far and he may not be done yet, yet again Australiahas taken the lead, this is an unbelievable match.

4-5 as t he match goes on with 10 minutes left, Spains kick off again, Torres goesshort to Villa, back to Fabregas, across to Iniesta, back to Capdevila, Ramos,Pique, Puyol, forward to Xavi, he dribbles ahead approaching Grella, Grella slides,trips Xavi as the referee blows his whistle, Grella went in for the ball but hedidnt get it, its big trouble here. The ref shows the Red Card to Grella angrily,pointing to the bench, the free kick is taken by Xavi, he goes long to Villa on theleft wing. He goes for a cross but Neil blocks the ball and it goes out for throw in,Iniesta goes for a long throw to Torres, he headers the ball into the goal but Schwartzer is there to make the save, Spanish corner. Xavi is the taker as hecrosses down to the far post for Torres again, knocked against his forehead tothe opposite side of the goal, Schwartzer gets his hands on the ball but the shot was too powerful and ends up in the back of the net. Goal!!! The scores areequalized again, the crowd is going crazy as Torres shows off by doing the wormacross the pitch, it his second goal of the game as hes looking for his hat trick.

5 all, Australia gets the game restarted with only 5 minutes left on the clock, theball goes to McDonald, Kewell, Cahill, Culina, Chipperfield, he advances forwardapproaching Villa, he does a few step overs but Villa steals the ball form him andfinds himself in the clear. He sprints towards the goals with only 30 seconds left,its just the keeper and Villa, he s trikes low to the left, Schwartzer lets the ball goas it skids past the post and scraping it on the way. The referee blows his whistleand we will go onto extra time, both teams he ad back into the change room foranother break.

After a second break both teams get back on the field to start extra time, Spainkicks off and we are on our way again, the ball is with Torres, Villa, Xavi,Fabregas, Iniesta, Pique, Capdevila, Ramos, Puyol, back to Ramos, Kewell lungesbut Ramos side steps him and dribbles forward. He goes to Xavi, Xavi does anadvance rainbow flick and lobs it to Fabregas, he controls it nicely and switches

long and high to Torres but Moore intercepts with the header as it flies towardsEmerton. He traps the ball with his chest and makes a run while Spain is pushingback in defence, Emerton sees Cahill unmarked and gives him a wonderfulthrough ball, just as Cahill manages to get his foot on the ball, Ramos hacks himfrom behind . Free -kick!!! yells the ref as he approaches Ramos, oh he went for the ball but he didnt get it and his already on a yellow card, its big trouble here.Its a red, Sergio Ramos has been sent off, he tries to argue but the ref points tothe bench, Cahill is the taker of this free kick, Villa, Torres, Puyol and Iniesta arelined up in the wall. Cahill takes a deep breath, glares at the distance from goalswhich was about 10 metres, he charges at the ball, brings his foot back, smacksthe ball like a missile as it whizzes through the air in great speed. The ball curves

past the wall, spinning towards the top left corner of the goals in high speed,Pepe dives with concern, he stretches his right hand out. The ball flies past

Pepes hand, his makes contact with the woodwork, it rebounds into the air,Culina is alert, he gets in position for a header, Puyol is marking him. They bothleap at the ball, Culina is centimetres higher than Puyol and Culina knocks hishead into the ball heading goal-wards. It soars millimetres above the bar and isout for a goal kick but the ref blows his whistle and yells half time extra time.

After another short break, Australia gets the second half of extra time startedagain, Cahill has the ball, it goes to McDonald, Bresciano, across to Kewell, back to Culina, Chipperfield, Emerton, down to Neil, Moore, back again to Neil, all theway down to Schwartzer, he belts it down to Bresciano, Capdevila is holding himoff, they both jump for the header, Capdevila wins the challenge and passes back to Pepe, he goes short to Puyol, Pique, back to Capdevilla but Brescianointercepts, Capdevila goes after him, he lunges but hooks him in the leg, the ref yells advantage as Bresciano gets straight back and keeps going. Hes almost at the corner flag, he peers at the box and sees Harry Kewell unmark, he crosses,Kewell and Pique leaps for the header but Pepe snatches it form the air, the crosswas much too close to the keeper. Pepe looks up and down the field as theplayers push back, he does an overhead throw to Xavi, he traps it with his chest and volleys to Fabregas, he takes the ball forward, telling his team to pushforward, he lobs it to Villa. Villa sprints for the ball, he holds it with his foot, Neilslides for a tackle, he flicks it over his foot, Moore lunges at him, he does a right 360 and chops to the left. Villa is now inside the box he passes to Xavi behind hislegs, Xavi shoots, the ball zooms to the bottom left corner, Schwartzer dives, it rolls past the goalies hands as well as missing the goals. Australian goal kick,Schwartzer boots the ball down to midfield, Chipperfield and Fabregas gets intoposition but the referee blows his whistle and says Penalty shootout.

Spain will be first to take the penalty, David Villa is the taker, he places the ballon the circle, takes a few steps back while Schwartzer is trying to set him off.Villa looks towards the goals, he runs, swings his legs back and shoots, it flies tothe top middle, Schwartzer dives to the left, its in the back of the net, Goal! HarryKewell will take the first penalty for Australia, he lines up, Pepe bounces fromside to side, Kewell runs at the ball, he shoots, it flies to the top left corner, Pepedives and gets his fingertips on the ball but it still manages to end up in the back of the net, Goal! Xavi is the next taker, he looks at the goals visualising where hesgoing to shoot, he jogs getting faster each step, chips the ball, it hovers high in theair spinning backwards, the balls heading to the right, Schwartzer leaps and fists

the ball away, Missed! 1 all as Cahill is taking the next penalty, stares at the ballthen peers to the goals, he shuffles to the ball, takes a big step as he brings hislegs back, swings them back down in great power, he strikes the ball, it fliesacross the ground, Pepe takes a dive but it rolls under him, Goal! Iniesta is thenext penalty taker, he gets ready, concentrating at the goals, bolts at the ball,strikes with all his strength, Schwartzer lets the ball fly as it soars past the goals,Missed! Its now up to Torres and Schwartzer, if he scores theyre still in this but if he misses, Australia will win the world cup, Torres lines up with gloomy eyes,focused and alert, he approaches the ball, boots it with great speed, it zoomsacross the air, Schwartzer dives, he makes contact with the ball, grabs it andholds onto it, Missed!

Theyve done, Australia has won the world cup, big disappointment for thelosers, they may not get this chance again, the Australian manages runs onto thefield shouting in excitement, the crowd are cheering so loud that Spanishsupporters are leaving. Here comes the cup, Lucas Neil shakes hands with themanager and the FIFA officials, he lifts the cup up as the whole stadium roarscrazily. They run across the field jumping and yelling, a photo is being taken asthey all calm down, this has been a wonderful night in this stadium, this is BrianLy and Ill see you next time.
