Danger is defined as a possibility that something harmful or unpleasant will happen, or a person or thing that causes harm.

Danger is anything that causes people to fear for themselves or beloved ones

Danger could be anything that threatens people’s lives

Danger could take place anywhere, any time and by anyone, or anything.

POSITIVE SENTENCE, NEGATIVE TAG NEGATIVE SENTENCE, POSITIVE TAG

Wolves attack people, don’t they? Cats don’t attack people, do they?

You are a student, aren’t you? You couldn’t swim, could you?

It’s dangerous, isn’t it? He wasn’t happy, was he?

We won, didn’t we? They didn’t pass the test, did they?

They will be there, won’t they? He can’t do that, can he?

EXCEPTION: The tag question for I am is aren’t I?

Tag questions are formed from the auxiliary verb from the main sentence. The subject in the tag question is always a pronoun.

Usually a negative tag question is used after a positive sentence and a positive tag question is used after a negative sentence.

Tag questions are used to check information in the main sentence. Those spiders are poisonous, aren’t they? Tag questions are used to ask for agreement. He likes snakes, doesn’t he? (The speaker expects the answer Yes.) You weren’t scared, were you? (The speaker expects the answer

No.)

The dark Dark places cause me to shiver. I always feel like I’m being chased.My shadow in the dark scares me and I sometimes feel like I can hear voices.

Cockroaches They are ugly creatures that scare me to death. If ever I see one, I can’t even approach it or try to kill it. I would leave the whole place.

Closed places I am a phobic person. I hate being in closed places, no matter what. Closed places make me feel like I’m imprisoned.

Exams I am the type of people who are always anxious. The idea of sitting for an exam gives me the fright. Even when I study well, I still feel scared and feel like I don’t remember anything.

Thunder Thunder frightens me to death. If ever there is thunder and lightening, I go under the covers. I couldn’t stand the roaring sound of thunder. Lightening makes me feel like things are getting worse and I will soon die. Sometimes thunder and lightening make me feel like God is sending us a message or trying to express his anger or vehemence.

ADVERBIAL CLAUSES OF TIME

There are many different types of adverbial clauses, such as clauses of purpose, manner, condition, and result. All of these give further information about the verb of the main clause. In addition to the expressions taught in this lesson, time clauses can also begin with while, as, since, once, by the time, and until.
