ACCOMMODATION PLAN | FINA AND REFEREESTransfers from/to Madeira International Airport Cristiano Ronaldo and transport to and from the venues and hotels will be provided by the Organising Committee ONLY for the teams who book their accommodation through the FINA World Women's Junior Water Polo Championships.
The transportation system will provide also free transportation for team officials, technical officials, and others as requested by FINA, between the airport and the official hotels of the event, between official hotels and competition venue. All planed social functions will be covered with transportation plan.
A network of transports will be prepared based upon buses who will transport the teams, in a circuit scheme between the hotels and the venue.
The journey time will be no more than 15 minutes. These shuttle services will run on a regular basis taking into consideration each team training and competition schedules.

The competition will be at Complexo de Piscinas Olímpicas do Funchal. The venue is owned by Funchal Regional Government and was built in 2004. The complex is ingeniously set over five floors and includes an Olympic sized competition pool, a diving pool, a 25 meters pool and a complete set of auxiliary services such as gym, bar, administrative facilities and meeting rooms.

Training facilities are available at Naval do Fuchal Pool Complex (25m). Complex is conveniently located 10 minutes away from Hotels and 10 minutes away from Complexo de Piscinas Olímpicas do Funchal.

The day before the start of the FINA World Women’s Junior Water Polo Championships, there will also be training at Complexode Piscinas Olímpicas do Funchal.

ACCREDITATIONS
For all individuals participating in, working at, or involved in the FINA World Women’s Junior Water Polo Championships will be issued accreditation cards. All participants are urged to wear or carry them during the entire event (9th - 15th September).
Entrances to each accreditation zone will be clearly identified by zone name and number of accreditations cards that can pass. Access will only be granted to those who have that zone number listed on their pass.
A substitution of lost or damaged card can be issued at the approval of the Accreditation Manager or FINA. The holder of the card must submit a written declaration explaining the situation and pay penalty fee in amount of 50€ in domestic currency. Team member request must be signed by the Head of Delegation/Team Manager.
Teams are allowed to ask for additional accreditation (outside of 22 quota) with a fee in amount of 150€ in domestic currency.
An accreditation zone is an area of the event that has restricted access. Access to this area is granted only to those who have this zone number listed on their accreditation card.

TECHNICAL MEETING
Technical Meeting will be held Sunday the 8th September 2019 at Pestana Casino Hotel at 06h00 PM.
Two representatives of each participating Team are kindly invited to be present on Technical Meeting with passports of players and copies of players' passaports which will be taken by staff of Anti-Doping Control.
The team representative will be asked to give written approval for the correct version of national anthem and a correct color image of the national flag on behalf of their National Federation.
The final named entry list has to be submitted to FINA at the Technical Meeting. Every Federation has to submit final named entry, on which shall be confirmed up to thirteen players.
Only these players are allowed to enter the competition. No changes are possible after submission of players list.

VICTORY CEREMONY
Opening Ceremony will be held on9th September 2019, at the swimming pool, at 07h45 PM.
Victory Ceremony is scheduled twenty (20) minutes after completion of the applicable finals, at Complexo de Piscinas Olímpicas do Funchal.
REFEREES WORKSHOP
The Referees Workshop is mandatory for all referees to attend and will serve as recertification if completed successfully. It will be held the 8th September 2019 at Pestana Casino Hotel between 09:00 AM and 4:30 PM.

Around 60 volunteers are recruited and trained in order to secure full support for the preparations and organization of the FINA World Women' s Junior Water Polo Championships 2019.
The volunteers are assigned to departments according to their skills, interests and qualifications.

FINA World Women's Junior Water Polo Championships matches will take place at Complexo de Piscinas Olímpicas do Funchal. During the 7 competition day's sixteen teams will compete for the medals.
The event will be conducted under FINA event rules. For detailed information, please refer to the FINA Water Polo Championships regulation.
Teams will be transferred to Complexo de Piscinas Olímpicas do Funchal on Athletes Entrance. Athletes and Team Officials must wear their accreditation card in order to access the competition venue. Without accreditation card, access will not be possible. All teams are expected to arrive at the competition venue 90 minutes before the official schedule time that their match is due to begin.
During matches each team will be assigned a separate and locked changing room. These spaces will be distinctively identified for each match/country and will be made available 75 minutes before game start. Space shall be emptied no later than 90 minutes after each match official starting time, to allow for cleaning and proper usage of other teams. After that period, general usage changing rooms are available near training areas/training pool. Locking and usage procedure to be checked with resident personnel on site.
The training pool will be available 60 minutes before the match. Both teams will share warm-up pool. The warm-up area will be equipped with balls for each team. The warm up pool is situated next to the competition pool. To prevent interference with the match in progress we request all teams to take this into consideration and prevent any disturbing actions.
Advertising identification and logos are only permitted according to the FINA regulations.
Each athlete is expected to present herself and to compete in their official team uniform throughout the Championships. All uniforms and equipment must be according to FINA Guidelines.
Team video is allowed from an area above the press stand. No other area will be set aside for team video. Team video positions will be available and will be provided on a first come first served basis.

ACCESS TO THE FIELD OF PLAY

POST COMPETITION PROCEDURES
Only the team members (13 players, 3 team officials, 2 medical staff), staff and officials important to the operation of the event will be permitted on or around the Field of Play. Access to the Field of Play will be scrictly limited to persons with the proper and correct accreditation.
Team presentation is scheduled to start 10 minutes before each match. Warning buzzer will signal pool exit.
The speaker will anounce first the white cap team, presenting number and nameof the players and name of head coach. After the presentation of white cap team, blue cap team will be presented at the same way. This will be followed by referees presentation and match appointed FINA delegate.
After presentation National anthems will be performed. FINA anthem to be played while teams leave presentation and approach their benches.
There is place on the bench for six players and three team officials. Two medical staff persons will seat behind the bench.
Exit from the Field of Play: competitors must exit the field of Play through the Mixed Zone.

Teams can schedule press conferences upon request. The press center is located on the east side of Complexo de Piscinas Olímpicas do Funchal. In case you would like to organize press conference for your team, please inform the media team two days in advance.
Regarding FINA regulations on this competition FINA Medical Delegate will perform Anti-Doping Controls supported by staff of Portuguese Anti-Doping Agency. All athletes may be subject to Anti-Doping Control sample collection and testing throughout the Championships. The Anti-Doping Control representatives will notify selected players for doping sample collection.
If an athlete is selected for testing, a chaperone will be in possession of the athlete's accreditation pass and will escort the athlete until the time in which she must report to provide a sample at the assigned Anti-Doping Control Room.
Organising Committee will assure transportation from Anti-Doping Center (located at the Complexo de Piscinas Olímpicas do Funchal) to Hotels, for all players and Team 'Chaperones' who may need to stay longer than scheduled BUS shuttle service.
FINA World Women's Junior Water Polo Championships will provide medical insurance for all the participants and all accidents that may occur at the venue. All medication, treatment, laboratory, x-ray, scanning, and other medical analysis/procedures outside the specific scope of the event will have to be paid by the teams to the applicable hospital administration.
In case of an Emergency situation leading to an evacuation you must leave the pool as soon as possible. Service employees will identify themselves to visitors, players, staff and volunteers and will guide them to the nearest exit.

The capital of the archipelago is on the south coast of Madeira in beautiful bay washed by the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean and surrounded by green mountains and deep valleys.

Funchal was erected to city on 21st August of 1508 and is now the main centre for trade, tourism and culture in the whole archipelago.Exploring this traditional but cosmopolitan city, strolling through its charming streets lined with pretty, flowerdecked houses it's an adventure nobody will forget and something we want to provide to the Championships participants.the most 15 minutes away).
We are working with Pestana group (mainly with four and five stars hotels). The hotels have all the facilities and equipment and are fully prepared, also the meals will be made here and so a special buffet will be prepared for the teams.
