Golden and bald eagles, hawks, grouse, coyotes, beavers, martens, bobcats, porcupines, otters, and mink live here year-round. Approximately 450 miles of trails provide access to this popular area. About half of the visitors to this area come expressly to hunt and fish. Home to numerous large predators, Grizzly and Black Bears, Grey Wolves, and Mountain Lion, it is strongly recommend that all visitors take precautions and come prepared to recreate accordingly. The fly-fishing is focused on the confluence of North & South Forks of the Buffalo River, a headwater tributary of the Snake River. This vast, spectacularly scenic, and unspoiled wilderness offers exceptional dry fly fishing for indigenous Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout. Itinerary:

Thursday: Arrive Turpin Meadow Ranch (TMR) Welcome Dinner and Trip Orientation at TMR Main Lodge with WCA Guides Will Ezell and Timmy Watters http://www.turpinmeadowranch.com

Friday: Enter the Teton Wilderness Horse pack to headwaters of the Buffalo Fork River, a tributary of the Snake River. Depart TMR mid-morning on horseback and arrive to base camp by early afternoon, divide group and wade fish streams and associated tributaries of the Buffalo Fork. The backcountry camp is established by TMR wrangler staff. All sleeping accommodations (tents and bedding), food and beverage are provided.

Saturday: Full Day Teton Wilderness and Fly Fishing Exploration. Explore the Teton Wilderness, part of the most remote and road-less area within the lower 48 states.

Sunday: Teton Wilderness exploration and late return to TMR. Explore the wilderness, stream-side lunch, return to break camp by midafternoon. Ride back to ranch, enjoy an excellent closing dinner.

Monday: Depart TMR

Pricing: $2,950 per rod, all-inclusive:

Two (2) nights, Thursday & Sunday: Turpin Meadows Ranch, a well-appointed, private western lodge.

Three (3) days and two (2) nights, Friday & Saturday: Horse packing and backcountry camping with all meals, wranglers, camp hand, and fly-fishing access and support. All outfitting included with comfortable canvas tents for two, cots and sleeping bags. Alcohol not included.

Opening and closing dinners included. A truly exceptional, three-course meal prepared by professional chef. The four-course meal includes salad, appetizer, entrée, and dessert with house beer and wine during meal, cash bar after dessert.
