The Challenge

Worldpay is a global leader in payment processing technology and since its sale by RBS, it’s sometimes known as the world’s “largest startup”. Operating in 126 countries, handling 31 million transactions a day amounting to £402 billion payments a year.

However, when looking at other organisations it was clear that Business Analysis could create more value for Worldpay and its customers. The question was how?

Answers were needed quickly both to start the journey and feed into a Strategic Review.

The Approach

Worldpay engaged Build-BA to provide an external view of Worldpay’s Business Analysis maturity and to provide recommendations on how to grow into a Centre of Excellence.

Build-BA provided Worldpay with a speedy, holistic and cost effective review. This was done using our unique methodology, at the heart of which lies our proprietary models. This provided the basis for analysing the data captured from our structured interviews and surveys. The findings were summarised in a concise report.

“The approach worked really well: comprehensive, fast and engaging”

Rob Negus Delivery Director, Worldpay

The findings are analysed using Build-

BA’s proprietary models and scored against the industry

leaders.

Information is collected from Business Analysts and their Stakeholders using on-line surveys and

structured face to face interviews.

The insight gained is presented in a report covering: strengths, opportunities and recommended actions

to achieve excellence.
