This idea is repeated in the NT: Romans 12 verses 1, 21 So then, my friends, because of God's great mercy to us I appeal to

you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer. (GNB)

1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (KJV)

1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. (NIV)

1Dear friends, God is good. So I beg you to offer your bodies to him as a living sacrifice, pure and pleasing. That's the most sensible way to serve God. (CEV)

Two questions for reflection

What daily tasks, attitudes, relationships could I consider afresh, and engage with them as if I were doing them directly for Jesus? Which is more pleasing to God right now – my Sunday worship or my Monday to Saturday worship? What will I do about it?
