Psalm 30:1-5 (ESV) 1I will extol you, O Lord, for you have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me. 2O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me. 3O Lord, you have brought up my soul from Sheol; you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit. 4Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name. 5For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. At this time, children ages Pre-K through 1st Grades are dismissed to the foyer to transition to Children’s Church located in the South Building. Parents are asked to pick up their children as soon as the worship gathering is dismissed.

Today we will pray for the country of Latvia.
Population: 2,240,265
60% Christian
7% Evangelical
19% Unreached People Groups
Latvia has deep pagan roots and was one of the last European peoples to be Christianized. Even though 60% belong to a Christian church, only a small minority practice their faith. Latvia has the world’s 4th highest suicide rate. The spread of cults, both Christian and pagan, is a challenge to Christianity. Pray for a new move of the Spirit in the mainland churches. Pray that the many nominal Christians will become true believers.

Offering
“It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). One of the greatest joys for Christians is being able to give cheerfully, generously, and sacrificially. There is tremendous satisfaction that comes from seeing the fruits of our labor multiplied many times over in the lives of others. Money is a powerful thing, and when we use it well, it has potential to do incredible good. We hope that we’re able to excel in the grace of giving. And so having been found faithful with little, God will be pleased to entrust us with more.

Washington D. C. Mission Trip (July 5-13)
Begin praying now for the group that will be going to Washington D. C. Pray that God will use us as we partner with local churches to help meet the needs of those communities.

Kids on Mission
Wednesdays this summer, kids ages 3yrs to 6th grade will join us as we go around town serving others. Kids on Mission will start @ 6:00pm each week.
Student Ministry House Church
Those who have completed 6th grade and up are invited to attend WBC’s summer House Church this Wednesday, July 3rd @ 6pm. Join us for our summer apologetics series along with swimming, games, food, drinks, and more. This week, House Church will be held at Art & Janet Earlywine’s home (17332 Chadsford Ave., Baton Rouge 70817). Check the schedule weekly for future House Church locations. The vans will leave the church at 5:45pm each week.
Parenting in the Pew
Parents that have children promoting to Pre-K and 2nd grade should make plans now to attend “Parenting in the Pew” which will be held on Sunday, July 14th and 21st during the Sunday School hour. During this time, we will discuss the importance of having children in the worship gathering and to help you with training your child “in the pew”. See Lyn Bailey for more information.
Pre-teen Camp
Pre-teen Camp for 3rd - 6th graders is scheduled for July 15th - 18th at Dry Creek Baptist Camp. Final payment is due July 1st. See Lyn Bailey if you have any questions.

Kids Camp
Kids Camp for Kindergarten through second graders is tomorrow, July 1 beginning at 9am, on our campus. Please pray for the campers, counselors, and pastors.

Do you want a better grasp on God’s Word so that you are able to know it and apply it better? In the Spring of 2020, Woodlawn Baptist Church will be partnering with a number of local churches to provide counseling and discipleship training. This training time will be designed to equip people to be better handlers of God’s Word in counseling and discipleship situations. If you are interested, see Bro. Travis for more information.
