†The Invocation (Please lift hands)

The Response

The grass withers and the flowers fall,But the Word of our God stands forever.

*The Old Testament Lesson .................................................................................. Psalm 110page 951 in the pew Bible

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell.* The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic** church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

†The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

The Assurance of Pardoning Grace .................................................................. Isaiah 6:5-6

“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” Then one of the seraphs flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”

The Personal Confession of Sin

The Corporate Confession of Sin

Loving God, you rode a donkey and came in peace. You humbled yourself and gave yourself for us. We confess our lack of humility and our desire to be king. As you entered Jerusalem, the crowds shouted “Hosanna: Save us now!” On Good Friday they shouted, “Crucify!”

We confess that our faith is often more show than substance. Our hearts are in need of your cleansing. We sing “Hosanna,” but cry “Crucify.” We confess that our praise of your majesty is often faint and empty. As the crowds laid their palms in front of you, you took no glory for yourself. We confess that we yearn for glory and the praise of men. We want to be accepted and take the easy way. We do not stay true to your will. Our performance as citizens of your kingdom is often treasonous. For we have surrendered to the enemy by our secret and our known sins.

For our treason you died, Lord Jesus. Forgive us, Lord, and help us to follow in the way of obedience. By your grace, make us loyal and loving servants of King Jesus. Amen.

Missions Testimony ................................................................................. Tiffany Schlueter

John Saye & Meredith Williams

Our Father, he lifts from the ashes He raises the poor and the lost; He seats them to dine at his table, To feast without money or cost.

The lonely he settles in families The barren, a mother he makes; O happy the heart of the stranger Who’s welcomed by this King of Grace. Who is like the Lord our God, Whose glory fills the skies, But humbles himself with the broken to dwell Who is like our God?

Though equal to God in his glory, Christ Jesus became like a slave; He humbled himself in obedience To Death, and the Cross, and the Grave.

Victorious, he rose to the highest; In glory, the Savior was raised. His name above all names exalted; The heavens and earth sing his praise

O Saints, fix your eyes on the Savior And count all your righteousness lost Be found in his love and his favor And share in his death on the cross

That all of his power in victory, Imparted to you, may abound And sharing the suff ’rings of Jesus, You share in his glory and crown.
