Step 1 — Power cord

Tip the fan to its side and remove the three size 8 screws using a 9/32 flat-head screwdriver.

The screws may be brittle from age, so be careful.

Take the bottom plate off the fan and set it aside.

Step 2

Remove the three number 8 screwsthat hold the switch in place.

Remove the switch, carefully slidingthe speed lever out of its slot.

Don't remove the switch too quicklyor you can damage the head-wire.
