If you don’t know him that does not matter, send him a card if you can. Laurie Bade Summerset Retirement Village 104 Realm Drive Paraparaumu 5032 Garrett Trophy 42 Club members participated on Sunday with the winning drawn team as shown here. The winning team Skipped by Nanette achieved 3½ wins from their 4 games. 4 other teams won 3 of their 4 games with the team of Noeline Alexander, Reit van Koeverden, and Chris Mowatt being awarded the runners up based on having won more ends. The winning team will receive the trophy at the end of season prize giving. Louis van Zyl, Gillian Prattley, Nanette Crowe Bowls Wellington Open Fours Several Club teams entered the Wgtn Open Fours over the weekend and of those only one team qualified for Post Section play. That team was; Alison Williamson (S), Sandy Hickey, Anne Searancke, and Jean Brewer. They were a team of largely newer Bowlers and played very well throughout the Section play on Saturday. The Post Section draw gave them a bye in Round 1 and a place in the last 8. The competition was very strong by that stage and they were not able to advance further. Nevertheless, it was a fine performance from this team. Tickets available now The Bar will be open on Wednesday morning during the Women’s Club Day If you can’t get there when the Bar is open, please ring Daphne Fenwick Ph 232 6309 To book your ticket(s) and arrange to make payment at a another suitable time. For catering purposes the numbers need to known by Wednesday, 12th December. The McEnaneys are moving today, 10th Dec 2012. Great News about the Kitchen Floor The Club has received a grant to have the vinyl flooring in the kitchen replaced. This work will be carried out over the Xmas/New Year period. This may cause some inconvenience. The job is expected to take a maximum of 2 days and you will be advised of the exact dates when these become available.
