Our weekend weather problems weren’t all that bad. The Green
got well watered, some were able to give their
wet weather gear a trial run, and Green 2
played well on Sunday after a good watering
in the days before.
Some other areas had much bigger problems
Fine weather at Akaroa did not last and when the bad stuff arrived there was major problems
The weather caused a large rock slide on the Milford Road
Yachts were washed ashore in Auckland
The only problem at the Tawa Bowling Club was that Green 1 was closed and the Women’s Championships Pairs qualifying could not be completed over the weekend. The Men did start their Championship Triples and were able to complete 2 of the 6
rounds of qualifying. See report below.
Men’s Championship Triples
No play was possible on Saturday but on Sunday 2 rounds of section play commencing at 10.00 a.m. was completed.
From the small entry of only 10 teams, the 2 teams that won both of their games were.

The next scheduled play day is Saturday, 27th October, when 2 rounds will be played starting at 1.00 p.m.

MEETING FOR CLUB MEMBERS RE HANDICAP SYSTEM TRIAL
7.00 pm on Thursday 18 October at the Club Rooms
• A survey form will be available at the meeting to be filled out and left in the box provided • There will be a brief presentation by the Selectors who did the gradings • Members may express what their experiences were playing under the system, in a general discussion • Results of the survey will be posted in the clubrooms along with a draft report
The Report will be sent out with the AGM papers next year.
WRONG BIAS JAR
$182.00 was collected in the Wrong Bias jar over the last year. This was topped up to $250.00 from Club Funds and donated to the Wellington Free Ambulance during their recent street appeal.
