Bowls Specialists Centre 242 Mixed Pairs
2 teams from our Club qualified for Post Section play. Tia Strickland and Grant Traill did well in qualifying for Post Section play but were unable to win their 1st Post Section game and were eliminated at that point. But a good result for them.
Lynette Clarke and Trevor Rayner qualified for Post Section play. They won their 1st Post
Section game, Editor not aware what happened later but they did not make the last
16 teams.
A good Roll Up on Saturday afternoon, 44 Club members were there
Dave Lash is a regular attendee at Saturday afternoon roll ups and he was there again. At a guess, Dave joined our Club about 25 years ago. Dave said he
doesn’t feel his age and thinks it is hard to accept that he reached 80 last Friday. At
afternoon tea time we celebrated with Dave by singing “Happy Birthday Dave”.

MEN’S INTERCLUB AND PENNANTS
The teams are now displayed on the Men’s notice board. We are confident the right players have been selected for the teams entered, and the expectations are that all players in the top three divisions will practice at a time convenient to themselves before their interclub games. We would also encourage the players in divisions two and four to do the same. We want players to be enthusiastic and motivated, with the expectation of winning the divisions.
PLEASE NOTE—Tawa 2 in the Premier Reserve are now playing Round One at Tawa and not at Porirua City as previously advised.
