6.2.1 What to include in your festival

Complete the following table, listing and describing the kind of work you have available for inclusion in your festival. You should identify the artist/group who will be contributing and describe the nature of their work. In the third column give your reasons for including the work in the festival.

Drama workshop

A class room will have 2/3 drama teacher from school, where people can go and people will be given tips on how to act and do various acting activities.

The theme is performing arts, so drama comes under it. Also the school is a performing art school, so it will be nice to get parents involved with drama and show what their child does in drama.

Dance Workshop

A class room will have 2/3 dance teacher from school, where people can go and people will be given tips on how to dance and then get taught a dance by one of the teacher.

As this festival is mainly targeting at families, this would be a great way to bond with your family by learning a routine that you can do with your family later on for any event.

Performance

There will be a stage in front of the stalls and class rooms where most of these activities will take place and the school band and other singers can sing there and entertain the crowd.

It will give parents a chance to relax when their children are painting their face or on the bouncy castle.

There will be a face painting bar where little children can go and get their face painted

It’s a family event so people will have their children with them so we need events that are suitable for children too.

Nail painting

There will be a nail bar, where little girls and their mothers can get their nail painted.

Getting nails done can be a mother daughter activity, so it will give them a chance to bond.

Balloon make

We will hire a balloon maker that can make objects out of balloons for little children.

Something little children can take home with them and keep it as a memory of this festival.

Bouncy Castle

There will be two bouncy castle outside, one for under 5s and one for over 5s and under 13

It is something all little kids like to play in.

Stalls There will be stall from different organisation such as idea store.

People can get information on the things that are provided for them in their local area.
