Time to Shine - Meet our Students

Mike initially enrolled at the college to re-sit his GCSE English and maths. He enjoyed his time at the college so much that he decided to stay and pursue a HNC in Sport Science. After successfully completing the HNC, he enrolled onto a HND and has not looked back since! Mike said: “The college is on my doorstep and the course fits in with my busy lifestyle. I work, am a father and have suffered will a long term illness, but the tutors are extremely flexible, helpful and understanding. I don’t think you’d get that level of support at university. The units are really interesting, topical and in line with modern sports and fitness techniques.”In the future Mike hopes to progress to university to do a top-up degree in Sport Science followed by a PGCE. His ambition is to return to Warrington & Vale Royal College to become a sports tutor.
