13-17 & 20-24 MAY 2013

In celebration of the Year of Natural Scotland 2013
Spend the morning bird watching, pond dipping and more in the thriving Abriachan
Forest, then move to Moniack Mhor Writers’ Centre, where an experienced tutor will
lead creative writing activities inspired by the morning’s discoveries. Workshops
aligned with Curriculum for Excellence. This year’s tutors are Gerry Cambridge and
Linda Cracknell.
COST: £85 per class per day

Gerry Cambridge is a poet,
editor and harmonica player
with longstanding interests in
nature photography and the
natural world. Gerry has
worked with schools and
community groups
throughout Scotland and is
the resident tutor for the
annual Pushkin writing
Prizes, Scottish-Russian
Writing Awards for S1 and S2.

Linda Cracknell is an award
winning short story writer,
and works regularly as a
writer in education. Her
collections include Life
Drawing, and The Searching
Glance. She has held many
fellowships and residencies,
including the Royal Literary
Fellow at Stirling University.
Her particular interest is
nature writing, both non-
fiction and fiction.
