this morning we begin our new sermon series “Live wire: church, Family, Friends“ Vic Pentz will preach at 8:45, 10:00 and 11:15 a.m. the scripture for today’s sermon, “Void if detached (how god works through his church),” is ephesians 1:3-11, 18-23. in all three services this morning, we celebrate the sacrament of baptism. baptism of infants is one way we look to the future. as we welcome these children into our fellowship, we also pledge that we will nurture their faith in the hope that they will one day profess their own faith in Jesus christ. today in the sanctuary services, we will hear from rev. chad hale, Founder and executive director of georgia avenue community Ministry, a cooperative ministry that provides food to those in need in a way that affirms dignity and builds community. today is Veteran’s day
