When we get overwhelmed with projects, we often forget to thank the people who dothe work.
If you have people on your team who step up and do amazing work, be sure you sendthem a video card on Facebook (if you’re friends with them) to say thanks for a jobwell done.
Not only does this simple gesture show your gratitude, but it can also be a realconfidence booster to someone who performed well in a job they’ve never donebefore.
#2: Bid Employees Good-bye

Holding onto top talent can be difficult. Often, when someone leaves a company, itfeels a little awkward or strained—but it doesn’t have to be that way.

A thank-you can also serve as a great motivational tool and help propel your client tow ard meeting
their goals. Image: Shutterstock.
If you’re working with a client who is just starting out, rather than being critical, sendthem a Facebook video card to tell them you’re looking forward to working together.
#4: Recommend a ClientAnother way to use Facebook video cards is with your clients. If a client has done anoutstanding job on work you’ve requested, you can send them a thank-you.
Not only does the video card show you value the client’s work, but because the videois posted on their timeline as well as your own, it also adds credibility to yourendorsement.

Sending a thank-you for client work can also be valuable if people ask you forrecommendations on whom to hire for a specific job. You can easily point them back tothe client you think did great work and share the Say Thanks video you sent them.
A Thank You video can help you recommend a client’s w ork to others. Image: Shutterstock.
If you’ve created a video card showing some of the client’s work, you can share that aswell.
Recommending a client publicly helps validate their work and holds more value thansimply sending a private email or handwritten note.
Should I Friend Clients and Business Partners?

consider whether this is something you should do.
There is a lot of debate about whether you should be friends with clients andbusiness partners on Facebook. Depending on whom you ask, some people liketo keep their personal life and business interactions separate. Other marketersencourage it as a means of developing better personal connections.
Make sure Friending your business connections is the right tactic. Image: Shutterstock.
Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with it.
More businesses are encouraging employees to be more public-facing. It canhelp the business because clients get to know the people who work for them on amore personal level.
Just be sure you’re not sharing confidential information and that thereisn’t a conflict of interest in being friends with someone on Facebook. For example, if you’re planning to sign a contract but haven’t finalized it yet, youmay want to hold off a bit before sending a friend request.
Overall, developing personal connections on Facebook can help you buildstronger relationships in business.

I love the idea of making use of this feature in a different way, but the only problem is it means you need to becomingFacebook friends with your clients or staff. You mention about the debate for this, but as far as I'm concerned if thereis any debate at all it's not something I would do. If there's a chance a client doesn't feel good about it then I don't feelgood about it.

@GoodVibraShawn, good point. I think it's important to remember that everyone tends to have an opinion onif you should be friends with clients and staff. A lot of that is based on someone's personal preference andoverall comfort level. I would do what you feel most comfortable with doing (and what is an accepted practicein your industry).

But I think you're on to a great idea here. Perhaps maybe even a video or image that you can displayon your page that only shows to people who haven't liked your page yet.

I love this idea. However, I think it would be better if pages could use the tool. Right now, I have no desire to "friend"clients on my personal Facebook page, not that I really use my personal FB page. Let's hope that FB brings thecards to pages.

@Krithika Rangarajan, maintaining relationships is very important - even if someone moves on. You neverknow when you might need to call on that person down the road.

I agree with all the comments re: having to friend the client. I wouldn't want to do this and would rather this be aPages feature too. I also think this should be in Australia already :))
