C2P2: What we’ve done
• Awarded nearly $600 million in Grants for 5000+ projects since FY 94-95 – Total Project Costs including local
investment worth more than $1.9 Billion, including (C2P2)
– $372 Million in Grants from the Keystone Conservation Recreation Fund for 3755 projects
– Total Project Costs including local investment – $1.2 billion (Keystone)

BRC Accomplishments
• Grants have been awarded every County and to about 50% of PA municipalities
• Completed 800+ trail projects• Helped conserve nearly 150,000
acres of open space and critical wildlife habitat
• 43% of recreation occurs at local/county parks

Economic Impact: Substantial!– Great Allegheny Passage:
• $40 million in annual direct spending & $7.5 million in wages– Philadelphia (Greenspace Alliance Study):
• $40.3 million in economic out-of-towner expenditures • $688 million in increased value for properties surrounding parks
