The residential nursing home Engelendale is situated in the centre of Bruges, within walking distance of the Market Square. It was officially opened on 10 September 2011. It was built in the former convent of the Dominican nuns and can accommodate 40 residents. Com- munal rooms, such as the restaurant and the spacious recreation room are situated on the ground floor.
