    Thisamplifiershouldbeinstalledinalocationwhichprovidesadequateventilation. Theamplifiershouldnotbeinstalledon

    abed,sofa,rug,orothersimilarsurfacesthatwouldblockanyoftheventilationopenings;norshouldtheamplifierbe

    installedinaclosedenvironmentthatmayimpedeairflowthroughtheventilationopeningsontheamplifier. Shouldyou

    choosetoinstalltheamplifierinaclosedequipmentrackbesuretoaddforcedairventilationtoprovideadequateair

    circulation. Theamplifiershouldbesituatedawayfromheatsourcessuchasradiatorsorotherheatproducingdevices.

    EmotivaamplifiersshouldbeconnectedonlytoapowersupplyasdescribedinthisOperationManualorshownonthelabel

    locatedonthebackoftheamplifier.Thepowercordshouldberoutedsothatitavoidshighfoottrafficareas;and,placement

    ThisreminderistocalltheCATVsysteminstallersattentiontoArticle82040oftheNECthatprovidesguidelinesforproper

    groundingandinparticular,specifiesthatthecablegroundshallbeconnectedtothegroundingsystemofthebuildingas

    closetothepointofcableentryaspractical.

    AntennaGroundingOutsidetheHouseIfanoutsideantennaisconnectedtothereceiver,besuretheantennasystemisgroundedsoastoprovidesomeprotection

    againstvoltagesurgesandbuiltupstaticcharges. Article810oftheNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70,provides

    informationwithregardtopropergroundingoftheleadinwiretoanantennadischargeunit,connectiontogrounding

    electrodes,andrequirementsforthegroundingelectrode.

    Alwaysobserveproperantennaorsatellitedishgroundingtechniques. Whenlightningstrikesthereisalwaysthepossibility

    thatyourantennaordish(mountedhighontheroof)canbecomeaconduitforlightningandelectricallydamageany

    equipmenttowhichitsconnected. Additionally,propergroundingofferssafetytothepeopleusingtheaudio/videosystem

    Thisamplifierworksextremelywellforstereouse(requirestwoamplifiers),andoffersanextremelydynamichometheater

    fatigue.

    Fullybalancedwithaquaddifferentialinputstageandadiscretefrontend. Itfeatures24outputdevicesanddelivers500

    wattsinto8ohms,and1,000into4ohms. TheXPA1isforseriousaudiophileswhowantaverydetailed,cleansound.

    TheXPA2boastsalargertransformerthantheXPA5orXPA3,aswellasmoresecondarycapacitance,largerpower

    modulesandhigherrailvoltage. Anextremelyrobustoutputsection(12outputdevices)maximizespoweranddelivers

    exceptionalperformance.

    Ratedat250wattsinto8ohms,500wattsinto4ohms(minimumratingitwillpeakhigher). TheXPA2isalsobridgeable

    (for8ohmloads),transformingitintoapotentmonoblock.

    TheXPA3wasbroughttotheXfamilyasaturbochargerfortheaveragereceiver.Simplyput,areceiversamplifiercannot

    competewithaseparateamp. Itsjustsimplyphysics,duetothespacelimitationswithinthereceiver.

    TheXPA3ratesat200wattsperchannel(8ohms),andwasdesignedtobeusedtopowertheleft,rightandcenterchannels,

    givingthereceiverenoughbreathingspacetoadequatelypowerthesurrounds. Ofcourse,itcanbeusedwithother

    amplifiersinvariousconfigurations,withorwithoutusingareceiver.

    XPA5ThefirstXseriesamplifier,andstillthemostpopular. Thisfivechannelamplifierwastheanswertotheconstantrequestfor

    moreheadroom,please. Anamplifierwithheadroomhasapowersupplycapableofpeakingwellbeyonditscontinuous

    rating,makingitextremelydynamic,whileretainingclearimaginganddetail.

    At200wattsinto8ohms(300into4ohms),theXPA5immediatelyraisedthebarandbecameaclassic. Thebackboneofa

    oftheproduct,andduringnormaluse,theactualpracticalpoweroutputismuchlowerthantheclaimedpeakrating.

    Sometimestheseratingsarealsoperformedat10%THD,eventhoughttheindustryacceptedlevelis1.0%THD. Thispractice

    hasledmanypeopletoseekhigherandhigherlevelsofpowerinamplifiersbecausetheymisunderstandthedifference

    betweenpeakandcontinuouspower.

    AllEmotivaamplifiersareratedforcontinuouspower,testedwithallchannelsdrivensimultaneously. Weatdonotplay

    gameswith

    the

    specifications,

    and

    test

    all

    of

    our

    amplifiers

    to

    industry

    standard

    test

    conditions

    with

    the

    amplifier

    UnpackingYourXSeriesAmplifier

    AllEmotivaamplifiersaredoubleboxedtosurvivetherigorsoflongdistanceshippingandarrivetoyouundamaged. The

    outerboxmayshowwearandtear,butthisisnocauseforalarm. Theouterboxspurposeistoprotecttheinnerbox. Ifthe

    innerlooksheavilydamaged,andyouareconcernedaboutdamagetotheamplifier,pleasecallEmotivaTechnicalSupportat

    8773668324(877EMOTech).

    Insidethelaminatedinnerbox,theamplifierissecurelyseatedbetweentotworeinforcedpiecesofhighdensityimpact

    foam.At

    first

    glance,

    the

    cardboard

    backing

    on

    the

    foam

    may

    give

    the

    appearance

    of

    athird

    box,

    but

    it

    is

    easily

    lifted

    to

    revealtheamplifier,whichiswrappedinstaticfreeplastic. Theplasticsheetingistuckedunderneaththeamplifierand

    securelytaped. Itisrecommendedthattheplasticsheetingberemovedaftertheampisliftedoutfromthebox.

    Thebottompieceoffoamismoldedtofittightlyagainsttheamplifier,butthereisarecessedareaoneachside,allowingyou

    togetyourhandsundertheamplifierandliftitoutofthebox.

    switchilluminatesamber. Automaticswitchingisaccomplishedwiththe3.5mmtriggerinputonthebackpanelusinga512V

    DCcontrolsignal.

    NoteOnAmplifierSupports:

    Donotremovethesupportsorfeetfromyouramplifier. Inadditiontominimizingvibrationandinsulatingtheamplifier

    fromthesurfaceitisplacedon,thesefeetareessentialinallowingairflowundertheamplifierforpropercooling.

    2. NegativeSpeakerTerminalsConnectstothenegativespeakerinputs. These5waybindingpostsacceptstripped

    speakerwire,bananaplugs,orspadeconnectors. Besuretoobservecorrectpolaritywhenconnectingspeakersandbesure

    thatthewiresdonottouchbetweenpositiveandnegativeterminals.

    WhenusingtheXPA1tobiwireaspeaker,usebothnegativeandbothpositiveterminalstoconnecttothecorresponding

    negativeandpositiveterminalsonyourspeakers. Inastandardwiringsituation,useonlyonenegativeterminalandone

    positiveterminaltosinglenegativeandpositiveterminalsonthespeaker.

    Note:Potentiallylethalvoltagespresent! Neverconnect,disconnectormodifyspeakerwiringwiththeamplifierturnedon.3.Meter/LEDStatusSelectorsThestatusLED(singleLEDthatlightswhentheunitison)andmeterLEDs(whichmovein

    syncwiththeamplifieroutput)ontheamplifierfaceplatecanbeturnedonoroffwiththeseselectors.

    4.RemoteTriggerInput/OutputTheXPA1canberemotelytriggeredbyanotherdevice,andinturn,remotelytrigger

    anotherdevice.Whenaremotetriggeroutputfromapreamplifier,processororotheraudiodeviceisconnectedtothe

    triggerinputhere,theamplifierwillpowerupandshutdownalongwiththefirstdevice.

    Anotherdevice(CDplayer,amplifier,etc)canbeaddedtothischainusingthetriggeroutput.

    positiveterminaltosinglenegativeandpositiveterminalsonthespeaker.

    Note:Potentiallylethalvoltagespresent! Neverconnect,disconnectormodifyspeakerwiringwiththeamplifierturnedon.9. IECPowerCableConnection

    10. MasterPowerSwitch Thisrockerswitchprovidesthemasterpowerfortheamplifier. AfteritisintheONposition,the

    amplifiercanbeturnedonmanuallyfromthefrontpanelswitchorautomaticallywiththetriggerinputvia3.5mminputjack.

    Undernormaluse,thisswitchshouldremainon,leavingtheamplifierinstandbyposition,andcomingtofullpowerwith

    eitherthefrontpanelSTANDBYbutton,oractivationthroughtheremotetrigger.

    InSTANDBYmodethepowerbuttonwillemitanamberglow,buttheunitisnotfullypowered. Asmallamountofampsare

    usedinthismode,lessthananaveragenightlightwoulduse.

    Ifyouareawayforanextendedperiodoftime(morethanafewdays),shutoffallpowertotheamplifierwiththemain

    powerswitchonthebackoftheamplifier.

    11. VoltageIndicatorAllEmoitvaamplifiersoperateoneither115Vor230V. Thevoltageisdetectedwhentheamplifieris

    turnedon,andisidentifiedbytheindicatorlights. Therearenouseradjustments,theamplifierautomaticallyadjuststothe

    voltage.

    ACPowerConsiderations

    Themajorityofhouseholdelectricalsockets(inplacesotherthanthekitchenandgarage)are15amperesmaximum,whichis

    sufficienttopoweryourXseriesamplifier. However,remembertoaccountfortheelectricalpowerthatothercomponents

    willrequireiftheyshareacommonwallsocketorelectricalcircuit.MostDVDplayers,preamplifiersandA/Vsourceunitsare

    fairlylowcurrentitems,andcansuccessfullyshareawallsocketwithyourpoweramplifier,butbigscreenTVsandvideo

    projectors

    usually

    have

    minimum

    current

    requirements

    that

    can

    consume

    nearly

    an

    entire

    circuit.

    PhysicalPlacement/HeatConsiderations

    Xseriesamplifiersemployconvectioncooling,whichisveryeffectiveandcompletelynoiseless. Undernormaloperating

    conditions,yourXamplifierwillremaincooltomildlywarm,butconsiderationsforheatshouldbetakenintoaccountduring

    placement.

    PlaceyourXamplifieronaflat,levelsurface,withtheweightdistributedequallyonallfourfeet.Ifusingacabinetorshelf,

    pleasemakesurethatthereissufficientventilationandthereisatleast6inchesoffreeairspaceabovetheamplifierand3

    inchesoneachside. Ifadequateventilationisnotavailable,yourmayconsiderinstallingtwosmallbrushlessDCfans(suchas

    thoseusedincomputercases)toprovidecontinuousairflowaroundtheunit. Iftheamplifierislocatedonacarpeted

    surface,placeaboardundertheamplifiersfeet.

    NOTE:Expansionandcontractionoftheamplifiersheatsinksmaycauseafaintclickingsoundattimes. Thisisrelativeto

    howwarmtheheatsinksbecomeandhowquicklytheycool. Thisiscompletelynormal,andnocauseforconcern.

    DoNOTblocktheventilationholesontheamplifier.YourXamplifierisequippedwithamassivetoroidalpowertransformer.Thistransformergeneratesamagneticfieldthat

    InputConnectionConsiderations

    Highquality,fullyshieldedRCAorXLRcablesarerecommendedforusewithXamplifiers. TwistedPaircablesarenot

    recommended. Xamplifiershaveanextremelyhighbandwidth,andtwisted,nonshieldedcablescanactuallyactasan

    antenna,receivingoutsideinterferenceandsignals(EMIandRFI),whichwillcausetheamplifiertogointoprotectmode.

    Wheneverpossible,keeppreamplifierlevelaudiocablesawayfromamplifierelectricalpowercordsbyatleastafewinches.

    AmplifierACpowercordsarecarryingmuchmorecurrentthanothersourceandpreamplifiercomponents,whichmeans

    thereisalargerdegreeofnoiseorhumpotentialwiththeamplifierpowercordincloseproximity.

    OutputConnectionConsiderations

    TheoutputconnectorsprovidedoneachchannelofXamplifiersarestandardbindingpostspeakerconnectorswith

    industrystandardspacing. Thesearesometimescalled5waybindingpostsbecauseofthemanywaysinwhichthespeaker

    wirecanconnectintotheposts.Thepostscanacceptbarewire,spadeterminals,orsinglebananaconnectors. Keepinmind

    thatifyouusedualbananaplugsandstackthem,youwillbecreatingaparallelconnection. Formoredetailsonseries

    andparallelconnections,seepages2627.

    Itisimportanttoobservepolaritysothatthespeakerwireconnectstotheredandblackterminalsontheamplifierandthe

    correspondingterminalsatthespeaker. Also,makesurethatthepositivespeakerwiresdonottouchthenegativespeaker

    wires,or

    any

    chassis

    metal.

    This

    will

    cause

    ashort

    circuit

    and

    activate

    the

    protection

    circuitry.

    ConnectionTipsforSuperiorSound

    Beforesettingupyournewsystem,pleaseconsiderthefollowing:

    AlwaysmakesuretheamplifieristurnedoffbeforemakingorchangingANYconnections.

    Wheneverpossible,routethepowercordsawayfromthesignalcablesorspeakerwirestopreventanyhumor

    interferenceheardinthespeakers.

    ManyRCAtypepatchcordscanbeaverytightfitandthereisusuallyapreferredmethodofremovingthem. Some

    haveto

    be

    removed

    with

    atwisting

    action.

    Be

    gentle

    or

    you

    may

    damage

    the

    jacks

    of

    your

    amplifier,

    the

    cables

    themselves,orothercomponents.

    Manyaudiophilesignalcablesareintendedtobehookedupinonedirection.Ifthisisthecase,thecableswillbe

    markedwitharrowsindicatingthedirectionofsignalflow.

    ItisusualfortherightchannelRCApatchcordplugstoberedandtheleftchannelconnectionstobewhite,grey,or

    Wheneverconnectingmorethanonespeakerperchanneltoanamplifier,youmustconsiderthewayinwhichtheamplifier

    willbeimpactedbyaddingtheadditionalspeaker(s).Additionally,speakerswithdualvoicecoilsalsoapplytothis

    consideration. Twovoicecoilsinasinglespeakeralsocausedifferentreactionsfromanamplifierdependingonthewayin

    whichtheyconnecttotheamplifier.

    Theconnectionofmorethanonespeakerperchannelwillmaketheamplifierrunwarmer. Forthebestsonicresults,use

    onespeakerperamplifierchannel. Ifyoumustconnectmorethanonespeakerperchannel,therearetwomethodsinwhich

    SeriesConnection

    Aseriesconnectionisestablishedwhenvoicecoilsareconnectedinastringendtoendsotheresonlyonewayforaudio

    signalstoflowinandonlyonewayforaudiosignalstoflowout. Forexample,ifyouweretoseriesconnecttwo

    speakerstothefrontrightchanneloftheamplifier:

    Aparallelcircuitisestablishedwhenvoicecoilsareconnectedinawaythattherearemultiplepathsforaudiosignalstoflow

    inandmultiplepathsforaudiosignalstoflowout.Whenspeakersareconnectedinparallel,thetotalresistanceatthe

    amplifierisproportionallydividedbasedonthevalueofeachindividualvoicecoilresistance. Thetermdividedsimply

    meansallofthevaluestogetherinparallelareaSMALLERvaluethaneachallbyitself. Forexample,ifyouweretoparallel

    connecttwospeakerstothefrontrightchanneloftheamplifier:

    Runningyouramplifierbelowrecommendedimpedancelevelcancauseexcessiveheatandwilleventuallydrivetheamplifierintoprotectmode(blinkingredLEDsonthefrontoftheunit).

    Parallelconnectionsareharderontheamplifierthanseriesconnection,asthetotalimpedanceislowercomparedtodriving

    asinglespeaker,andtheamplifiermustproducemorecurrenttodrivethem. Ideally,thetotalaverageimpedanceshouldbe

    nolessthan4ohmsperchannel. Youmustmakesurethatthelowerimpedancedoesnotcausetheamplifiertooverheat,

    shutdown,ortripyourcircuitbreaker. Ifthishappens,youshouldreducethenumberofspeakerswiredinparallel,rewire

    theminseries,orusemorethanonepoweramplifier.

    TechnicalNoteaboutMultipleSpeakerConnections

    Althoughtherearetwopossibleconnectiontypesdiscussedinthismanual,itisimperativethatwitheitherconnectiontype

    thatyou

    use

    loudspeakers

    of

    the

    same

    type

    and

    nominal

    impedance

    for

    these

    connections.

    In

    doing

    so,

    you

    have

    the

    most

    predictableoutcomeforyourinstallation.Whenspeakersofdifferentnominalimpedancesand/ordifferentbandwidthsare

    used,therearemanyotheracousticproblemsthatcomeintoplayinadditiontocompleximpedanceattheamplifiers

    TroubleshootingGuide

    XSeriesamplifiersareexpertlydesignedandbuilttoprovideyearsoftroublefreeperformance.Mostproblemsthatoccur

    canusuallybesolvedbycheckingyoursetupormakingsurethattheaudioandvideocomponentsconnectedtotheamplifier

    areonandfullyoperational.

    NOTE:Beforeturningonyouramplifierforthefirsttime,besuretocheck:

    1.TheBalanced/Unbalancedselectorsforeachamplifierchannel(locatedonthebackpanel). Iftheselectiondoesnotmatch

    theconnection,thechannelwillnotwork.Makesurethatyouareselectingthepropertypeofconnectionforthecablesyou

    areusing.

    2.ThestatusandmeterLEDselectorsonthebackpanel. Iftheseareintheoffposition,thestatusandmeterLEDswillnot

    light.

    Thefollowinginformationwillhelpyoudealwithothercommonsetupproblemsyoumayexperienceduringnormaluseof

    yourunit.Ifproblemspersist,contactEmotivasupportforhelp.

    NoSound(fromoneormorespeakersconnectedtotheamplifier)

    Speakercables

    may

    have

    come

    undone.

    Turn

    off

    your

    system

    and

    check

    the

    cables,

    tighten

    the

    amplifier

    and

    speakerbindingposts.

    Damagedaudiocable.

    Thepreamplifiervolumelevelislowforthechannelsconcerned.Recheckthepreamplifiercalibrationprocedure.

    ApreamplifierMuteswitchmaybeon,anexternalprocessorlooporatapemonitorloopisengaged.

    Checkthatyourpreamplifierorsourceisrunningthecorrectsurroundmode.Maybeitissetfor2channelstereo

    whenyouwereexpecting5.1surroundsound.

    Check

    if

    any

    missing

    channels

    have

    been

    turned

    off

    in

    a

    preamplifier

    setup

    menu.

    For

    example,

    the

    center

    amplifier

    channelwillnotreceiveasignalifthepreamplifierhasbeensettoPhantom.

    Checkmainpowerswitchtomakesurethatitisinonposition(1).

    Aninternalfuseontheunitmayhaveblown.ContactEmotivaSupportforassistance.

    Theamplifiershutsdownoftenorthelinecircuitbreakertripsoften

    Checkthatthepositiveandnegativespeakerwiresarenotshortedtogether.

    Makesurethatnospeakersareshortedinternally.Ifyouhaveanohmmeter,disconnectthespeakerwiresand

    measuretheresistancebetweenthespeakerspositiveandnegativeterminals.

    Measureallspeakersandchecktheirimpedancespecifications.Ifnecessary,reviewtheSeriesandParallel

    Connectionssectioninthismanual.

    Ifyouhaveconnectedspeakersinparallel,theoverallimpedancemaybetoolow.Itisrecommendedthatyou

    rearrangethespeakersinseriestoincreasetheoverallimpedance,thustakingsomeloadofftheamplifier.

    Makesuretheamplifierhasgoodventilationandisnotoverheating.Allowgoodairflowunderneathwherever

    possible.Iftheamplifierisinaclosedrack,openuptherearpaneloruseaquietfanforimprovedventilation.

    PoorBassPerformancefromFullRangeSpeakers

    Makesurethatyourpreampdoesnothavethebass(tonecontrol)levelturneddown.

    Manysurroundpreamplifiershavecontrols,whichcandirectallthebasstosubwoofers,orletyourmainspeakers

    playthefullrange.Makesurethatthepreamplifierhasbeencorrectlyset. Ifyouarenotusingasubwoofer,setthe

    speakeroptionstoLargewherepossible.

    Checkthat

    the

    speaker

    wires

    have

    been

    connected

    correctly:

    Make

    sure

    that

    the

    positive

    of

    each

    speaker

    connects

    toapositiveoutputoftheamplifier,andthenegativeofeachspeakerconnectstothenegativeoutput.Ifone

    speakeriswiredincorrectly,thenitwillbeoutofphasewiththeothers,resultinginpoorbassperformance.

    DOUBLECHECKALLTHESPEAKERCONNECTIONS!!

    TurnonandTurnoffThumps

    PlugtheamplifierintoanunswitchedACoutlet,andusethe3.5mmTriggerInputconnectionwithatrigger

    between512VDCfromthesourceunitorpreamplifier. Thisshouldallowtheamplifiertoturnonandoffsilently.

    Ifyourpoweredsubwooferisthecauseofthethumpsound(nottheotherspeakersconnectedtotheamplifier),

    plugitintoadifferent115VACoutletthantheamplifiersothereisnopowersurgeconflict.

    Installalineconditioningdevice.

    HumNoisesintheSpeakers

    Thisproblemismorethanlikelycausedbyagroundloopinyoursystem,ratherthanafaultintheamplifier.

    Followthesestepstoisolatethemaincauseofthehum;theremayevenbemorethanone. Remembertoturnoff

    allcomponentsinyoursystem,includingtheamplifier,beforedisconnectingorconnectinganycablesduring

    troubleshooting.

    Trytohaveallofyourequipmentonthesameelectricaloutletorcircuit.Groupallthelowpowercomponents

    (preamp,CDplayer,DVDetc.)onasingleoutletorpowerstrip. Thisisprovidedthattheoverallcurrentdrawfrom

    yourequipmentdoesnotexceedtheratingoftheoutletorbreaker.

    Disconnectallcables,whichcomefromoutsidetheroom,andcheckifthehumgoesaway. Thisincludessuch

    connectionsascableTV,satelliteTV,orrooftopantennas. Makesurethattheyaredisconnectedwheretheyfirst

    entertheroom,sotheyaremakingnoconnectiontothepreamplifierortheTV,oranyothercomponent.Ifthehum

    iscausedbythecableTVline,thenyouwillneedagroundloopisolator. Thisisaninexpensivedevicefittedinline

    withthecoaxialcablefeed. ContactyourCableCompanyorEmotivaforassistance.

    DisconnectallconnectionsfromthepreamplifiertoyourTV,VCRorDVD.

    Asatest,disconnectanyothercomponent,whichhasagroundedpowercord.

    NOTE:Neverremovethegroundpinfromanypowercords(ifpresent).Thisisverydangerous.Ifthehumpersists,disconnectallthesourcecomponentsoneatatimefromthebackofthepreamplifier,untilyouidentify

    theproblem.

    Trymovingthespeakercablesawayfromanypowercords.Tryjustonespeaker,connectingittoeachamplifier

    channelandseeifonechannelisbad.

    Checkthattheinterconnectcablestotheamplifierdonothaveanybrokenconnections. Thebestwaytodothisisto

    substituteaknowngoodconnectionforthesuspectconnection.Ifyoureversethecablesandtheproblemgoesaway,the

    cablemaybedamagedorbroken. Thisispossibleevenifyoucantphysicallyseethebreakasthestrainforpullingonaudio

    cablescansometimesbreakthewireinternally.

    Groundloopisolatorsareavailableforaudiolinesandvideodevices.Ifyouneedassistance,contactEmotiva. Althoughthisis

    notalwaysanidealsolution,thegroundingdifferencesbetweencertainhomeentertainmentcomponentssometimesrequire

    groundloopisolators.Thisistheexceptionratherthantherule.

    OtherProbableCausesofNoise

    SpeakernoisemayalsobecausedbyinterferenceornoiseonyourACline.Makesuretherearenolargeappliances

    sharingthe

    line,

    halogen

    lamps

    or

    light

    dimming

    Triac

    devices.

    TryconnectingyoursystemtoanotherACsocketonaseparateline.

    Ifthehumisheardfromwithintheamplifier,andnotthroughthespeakers,thismayalsobecausedbyinterference

    ontheACorDClines.Thepowertransformersmayturnthisinterferenceintoanaudiblenoise.Internalhumcanbe

    madeworsebyashelforcabinetresonating,sotrymovingtheamplifiertoanothershelf.

    TrymovingyourcomponentsfurtherawayfromtheTV,especiallyifyounoticethescreenhaschangedcolorinthe

    areaclosesttothecomponent.

    Ifyouhaveveryhighefficiencyspeakers,thesemaytendtorevealnoises,whichotherspeakersdonot.

    YourXSeriesAmplifierisequippedwithaProtectModetominimizethepossibilityofdamagetoeitheritselforspeakers. If
