TheShand&JursDetonationFlameArrestersprovideprotectionagainstflamepropagationthroughpipingruns and vapor recovery systems,while allowingmaximumflowefficiencies. Thisdesignquenchesaflamefrontapproachingfromeitherdirection,evenifithastransitionedtoadetonation.TheArresterscontainadetonationwhileretainingtheintegrityofboththearrestingelementandthehousing.Thisisensuredbythedesignofthepassagesinthetubebankandthedetonationresistantconstruction.
Standardconstructionof thehousing isavailable inCarbon Steelor 316 Stainless Steel. The tubebankis Stainless Steel throughout. Special constructionmaterialstowithstandthecorrosiveactionsofsomevapors andatmospheric conditionsareavailableuponrequest.
