1.0 GENERAL
1.1 All WORK shall be performed in good workmanship and safely manner in
accordance with SAUDI ARAMCO Construction Safety Manual and in relevant General Instructions and SAUDI ARAMCO Standards.
1.2 All WORK shall be executed in strict accordance with the Scope of Work and all
relevant Drawing(s).
1.3 All WORK shown on the Drawing(s) and not included in the Scope of Work shall be deemed to be included in the WORK.
1.4 All WORK included in the Scope of Work and not shown on the Drawing(s) shall
be included in the WORK.
1.5 Any conflict between the Scope of Work and the Drawing(s) shall be referred immediately to the SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer.
1.6 CONTRACTOR is held responsible to complete the project conforming in all
respects to the details and requirements of this Scope of Work as shown in the Drawings and all applicable Saudi ARAMCO Codes and Standards.
2.0 BID SUBMISSION
2.1 CONTRACTOR shall submit a Lump Sum Bid to supply all labor, permanent,
temporary and expendable materials and equipment including spare parts required for the completion of the works as shown on the Bid Drawings and /or described in the Scope of Work.
3.0 MATERIALS
3.1 All materials supplied by the CONTRACTOR shall be supplied from a source approved by Saudi ARAMCO and meet all relevant Saudi ARAMCO Standards and Specifications.
3.2 CONTRACTOR shall submit, prior to procurement, samples of proposed materials to be used; materials shall be submitted together with the manufacturer's technical data and installation manual, for the study and approval of the Saudi ARAMCO Project Engineer.
3.3 CONTRACTOR shall supply all temporary and expendable materials required to perform the work.
3.4 Materials will be taken to site only as required and will not be stockpiled at the site.
3.5 CONTRACTOR shall plan availability of all materials in advance. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for any delays caused due to lack of availability of CONTRACTOR supplied materials in accordance with the General Service Contract.

1.0 INTRODUCTION 1.1 This Scope of Work must be read in conjunction with the drawings as listed in
Section 5.1.1 of this Scope of Work.
1.2 It is the intent of this Scope of Work to generally describe only the major components of the work. It shall not be construed to be an itemized listing of each element of the WORK or procedure for the construction of the entire project. All works shown on the drawings listed in Paragraph 5.0 shall be performed though not specifically described herein.
1.3 Unless otherwise stated all materials to be used in this project shall be as described in Section 6.0 “Technical Requirements” of this Scope of Work and subject to approval by the Saudi ARAMCO Project Engineer and UD/TSD Engineer/Designer.
2.0 PROJECT SUMMARY 2.1 This Scope of Work describes the proposed modification & improvement of lights
in Zuhoor Court & Yasmeen Court.
2.2 The WORK shall include but not limited to the following
2.2.1 Removal of existing and construction of new reinforce concrete pedestal/foundation for lighting posts.
2.2.2 Provision of new pole post and LED pole lighting luminaires.
3.0 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
3.1 The facility will be in operation throughout the duration of the WORK; thus,
WORK will be done with minimal interruptions, which will be agreed by the Saudi ARAMCO Project Engineer and CONTRACTOR during the project kick-off meeting. 3.1.1 Saudi ARAMCO Project Engineer shall coordinate with the Proponent
to establish sequence of the WORK, schedule of WORK and/or working time.
3.1.2 CONTRACTOR shall meet with the Saudi ARAMCO Project Engineer
to establish an overall schedule for construction and to facilitate the required arrangements with least amount of disruption to the Proponent.
3.2 Safety Requirements
Without limiting the generality of the application of the SAUDI ARAMCO Construction Safety Manual (CSM) and other SAUDI ARAMCO Safety Standards, the Safety Requirements shall include but not necessarily be limited to the following as applicable:

3.2.1 The CONTRACTOR and all CONTRACTOR employees, agents and
subcontractors shall comply at all times with all applicable safety, health and environmental regulations and all SAUDI ARAMCO General Instruction (G.I.s), and other related rules and regulations. Specifically, CONTRACTOR shall comply with the provision of the SAUDI ARAMCO Construction Safety Manual (CSM), Saudi ARAMCO Safety Handbook, all other such related requirements and any other successor manual that replace these. In case of conflicting requirements, the most stringent requirement shall apply. CONTRACTOR shall also take or cause to be taken any additional measures under the direction of the Company Representative to prevent the injury or death of any person, or damage to the environment during CONTRACTOR’s performance of the WORK. Supervisory personnel or other qualified staff shall be present at the WORK Site while any WORK is in progress. SAUDI ARAMCO reserves the right to monitor and inspect any WORK site, laydown yard, fabrication yard, clinic, camp and dining facility (On or Saudi ARAMCO property) for compliance with the above references Safety, Health and Environmental Requirements. SAUDI ARAMCO reserves the right to reject, remove from site, or have CONTRACTOR destroy any tools or equipment found to be defective or of substandard quality. “Homemade”, including “shop-made”, tools are strictly prohibited. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible to identify and address all potential safety, health and environmental issues in accordance with Saudi ARAMCO Safety Management Guide for Contractor Pre-job Safety Explanation Meetings Checklist (Loss Prevention Guide 07-003-2007).
3.2.2 SAUDI ARAMCO Responsibility
3.2.2.1 Saudi ARAMCO Project Engineer in coordination with the Proponent Organization shall communicate general and site- safety standards and information to the CONTRACTOR, either during Job Explanation (Job X) meetings with potential bidders or at Kick-off meeting with the CONTRACTOR before beginning on-site work activities.
3.2.2.2 Immediately following the above meeting, SAUDI ARAMCO
Project Engineer shall conduct joint hazard identification tour with the CONTRACTOR with the participation of SAUDI ARAMCO Proponent Organization (SAPO), Loss Prevention Department (LPD), Environmental Protection Department and other SAUDI ARAMCO agencies as required.
3.2.2.3 SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer and the SAPO shall
ensure that all safety requirements are strictly enforced.
3.2.2.4 A full audit shall be undertaken by DHALPD and Environmental Health to establish hazardous materials present in the facility prior to commencement of any work.

3.2.2.5 SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer and Saudi ARAMCO
Safety Coordinator(s) are responsible for informing CONTRACTOR of Safety Infractions and requirements for remedial actions and disciplinary actions.
3.2.3 CONTRACTOR Responsibility
3.2.3.1 CONTRACTOR has overall responsibility for a full time safety in and out of the Work Site in accordance to the applicable requirements of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM, Volume 1 - Contractor Safety Administrative Requirements (CSAR) and Volume 2 - Work Site Safety Manual (WSSM).
3.2.3.2 Site Safety Staff
CONTRACTOR shall provide full time and qualified site safety staff in accordance to the requirements of Volume I Paragraph 4.5 of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM or as otherwise required by the SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer during Job Explanation Meeting.
3.2.3.3 Safety Meetings
A. CONTRACTOR shall conduct daily pre job (toolbox) craft safety meetings with their personnel to address job-specific safety issues prior to beginning a different work activity, which shall also include a review of the applicable section of the approved HIP.
B. CONTRACTOR shall conduct weekly safety meetings in the native language(s) of the personnel. The safety meeting shall be no shorter than 15 minutes and shall cover, but not limited to, work hazards and related job procedures as well as a review/update of the HIP.
C. Safety meeting shall be documented with records maintained and shall be made available for review by the SAUDI ARAMCO project Engineer upon request.
3.2.3.4 Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE)
CONTRACTOR shall provide all required Safety Harness and proper PPE that meets SAUDI ARAMCO specification to its employees in accordance with Volume I Paragraph 4.8 and Volume II Paragraph 3.0 of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM.
3.2.3.5 Work Permit
A. CONTRACTOR shall obtain and complete all required Work Permits in accordance with Volume I Paragraph 4.12 and Volume II, Part I Paragraph 4. of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM as per the minimum guidelines and responsibilities set forth in SAUDI ARAMCO General

B. CONTRACTOR Work Permit Receiver shall have a valid SAUDI ARAMCO Receiver Certificate issued by Loss Prevention indicating and duly signed by the SAPO division head/superintendent. Receiver(s) with signed certificate from other organization/facility shall not be used at different organization unless the responsible SAPO superintendent signs a reissued certificate that reflects the new organization.
3.2.3.6 Jobsite Safety Logbook (JSL)
A. CONTRACTOR shall provide hardbound JSL at site for
safety comments from Saudi ARAMCO Safety Coordinators and LPD Safety Representatives and Proponent Organization Representatives.
B. Copy of minutes of safety meeting and toolbox
meetings should be attached to the JSL for inspection.
C. CONTRACTOR is subject to the requirements of G.I. 5.002 Loss Prevention Policy Implementation.
3.2.3.7 Work During Hot Weather (Heat Stress)
A. CONTRACTOR management is responsible for
managing their employees work so as to avoid and prevent heat-related illnesses.
B. Heat Stress management shall be the responsibility of
the CONTRACTOR thus CONTRACTOR shall conduct a thorough heat stress evaluation to identify task and conditions that present a potential heat stress hazard, and subsequently develop and implement a heat stress management program in accordance with Volume I Paragraph 4.17 of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM.
3.2.3.8 Hazard Identification Plan (HIP)
A. Before start of any Work Site activities, CONTRACTOR
shall submit Job Specific Hazard Identification Plan (HIP) to SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer for review and subsequent approval by appropriate SAUDI ARAMCO Agencies. The HIP shall be developed and approved in accordance with Volume I Paragraph 6.0 of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM and shall address all requirements as per joint hazard identification tour described in Paragraph 3.2.2.2 above.

C. CONTRACTOR shall change or amend the HIP accordingly when conditions change, new hazards are introduced and/or the scope of work changes.
3.2.3.9 Medical
A. CONTRACTOR shall provide medical care for its
personnel in accordance to the requirements of Volume I Paragraph 9.0 of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM and the SAUDI ARAMCO Minimum Medical Standards Requirements (MMSR) Manual.
B. CONTRACTOR shall provide First Aid at the Work Site
which is the immediate help provided to injured or seriously ill personnel prior to arrival of professional medical assistance.
CONTRACTOR shall provide and maintain adequate First Aid supplies for its personnel per SAUDI ARAMCO General Instructions Manual, GI 150.002 “Heart Saver First Aid with CPR and AED Training”.
o CONTRACTOR shall provide at least one 10–
unit First Aid kit/cabinet and one 36-unit First Aid kit/cabinet if fewer than 50 people are at Work Site and 50 people or more are at the Work Site respectively of required content per MMRS Manual, Attachments 23 and 24.
o CONTRACTOR shall assign First Aid
attendant(s) to be responsible for each First Aid kit/cabinet and to ensure there is sufficient stock of all supplies at all times.
o CONTRACTOR shall post signs/notices near
each First Aid kit/cabinet stating the following:-
a. Name of person in charge of the First Aid kit/cabinet.
b. Hospital where injured/ill personnel are to
be transported. c. Telephone number(s) of doctor(s) or first aid
attendant(s).
d. Emergency telephone numbers.

CONTRACTOR shall provide adequate number of personnel at the Work Site who are trained and certified in First Aid and BLS, including those in charge of First Aid supplies.
3.2.3.10 Safety Barriers and Project Signs
A. Before proceeding with the WORK, CONTRACTOR
shall erect temporary barricades and warning tapes for protection and the safety of the general public throughout construction period, as required. Remove same upon completion of the project or as directed by the Saudi ARAMCO Project Engineer.
As and when required by the Work Site conditions, CONTRACTOR shall erect temporary fence (obscured) with lockable pedestrian and vehicle gates around the construction site.
Barricades shall be clearly marked with flagging. Barricades shall have protective lighting, when necessary.
B. CONTRACTOR shall prepare and post a sign, in
Arabic and English at the Work Site, minimum of 1.2m (4’) X 2.4m (8’) (or as agreed with the SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer), and at a minimum the following information shall be shown:
SAPO name
Project title
Budget Item (BI), work order
CONTRACTOR name, address and telephone number
SAPO and CONTRACTOR Representative name and telephone numbers
3.2.3.11 Fire Protection and Preventions
A. CONTRACTOR shall provide appropriate and
adequate firefighting equipment (portable fire extinguisher(s), hoses or appropriate water storage).
B. CONTRACTOR designated site personnel shall be
trained in the use of firefighting equipment to be used in the Work Site.

3.2.3.12 Housekeeping
A. CONTRACTOR shall dispose all construction
debris or solid waste generated during this project
in approved landfill in accordance to the
requirements of SAUDI ARAMCO Engineering
Standard, SAES-S-007. Collection, storage and
disposal of all nonhazardous and hazardous waste
shall be in accordance with SAUDI ARAMCO
General Instructions, GI 430.001. All Class II and
Class III waste as per SAES 007 are to be
disposed of to the nearest approved SAUDI
ARAMCO Landfill Area.
Required SAP EH&S Waste Manifest shall be
prepared, completed and approved prior to any
hazardous waste disposal at either an authorized
Company or approved CONTRACTOR disposal
site (land disposal, land treatment or incinerators).
B. CONTRACTOR shall ensure that trash and debris
are properly collected and disposed of daily.
Provide adequate amount of trash receptacles in
the Work Site.
C. Refuse trash and garbage shall only be disposed
of at approved site designated by SAUDI
ARAMCO or local municipality.
3.2.3.13 Excavations and Shoring
A. Minimum safety requirements for excavations,
trenching and shoring shall be in accordance with the minimum requirements specified in Volume II, Part II Paragraph 1 of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM and SAUDI ARAMCO DeskTop Standards, CSE-116.06 “Excavation and Trenching Safety Standards”.
B. Excavation Planning
Prior to start of any work, CONTRACTOR shall evaluate the required excavation in accordance with the requirements of Volume II, Part II Paragraph 1.3.1 of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM.

personnel who have the proper training and experience.
SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer shall properly complete the pre-excavation checklist and to ensure that it is made available upon request.
CONTRACTOR shall provide excavation plan as developed by a civil/structural engineer for excavation greater than 2.4 meters (8 feet) deep in Type B or C soil and for excavation greater than 6 meters (20 feet) deep, regardless of soil type as per Volume II, Part II Paragraph 1.3.4 of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM.
o Excavation plan for 6m deep excavation shall be reviewed and approved by SAUDI ARAMCO Consulting Services Department (CSD).
o If and when a plan is required and shoring is used the plan shall:
a. Describe the materials and shoring system to be used.
b. Indicate whether or not any shoring components will remain after filling or backfilling.
c. Provide plans, sketches and/or details along with calculations.
d. Indicate the sequence and method of shoring installation or removal.
C. Permit
SAUDI ARAMCO work permit as per SAUDI ARAMCO General Instructions, GI 2.100 shall be obtained before any excavation work is started.
The work permit shall incorporate excavation safety provisions and the pre excavation checklist.
Confined space entry permit shall likewise be obtained to enter excavations equal to or greater than 1.2 meters (4 feet) deep.

SAUDI ARAMCO organizations, such as Utilities. Communications, POD, Pipelines, etc., shall confirm and mark locations of SAUDI ARAMCO and non-SAUDI ARAMCO underground utilities/installations (pipes, cables, vessels, structures, etc.) that are in the area of the proposed excavation.
Mechanical excavators shall not be used until underground utilities are exposed by hand digging.
Mechanical excavators shall not be used within 3 meters (10 feet) of underground utilities or installations.
Excavation is not permitted under existing foundation.
Provide approved brace or shoring to all underground utilities, duct banks, sidewalks, etc., that could be undermined by an excavation.
E. Dewatering
CONTRACTOR shall not work in excavations where there is pooled water, or in excavations in which water is accumulating, unless adequate precautions have been taken to protect personnel. Precautions shall include but not necessarily be limited to the following:
o Water removal (dewatering)
o Shoring to protect cave-in
Provide diversion ditches, dikes or other suitable means for natural drainage of surface water to avoid water from entering the excavation and to provide adequate drainage of the area adjacent to the excavation.
F. Protection Against Sidewall Cave-In
Unless an excavation is made entirely in stable rock or excavation is less than 1.5 meters, CONTRACTOR shall provide proper protection system against side wall cave-in in accordance to the requirements of Volume II, Part II Paragraph 1.7 of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM, including but not limited to the following as applicable:-

G. Entry and Exit
CONTRACTOR shall provide stairway, ladders, ramps or other safe means of egress for excavations that are 1.2 meters (4 feet) or more in depth in accordance to the minimum requirements of Volume II, Part II Paragraph 1.8 of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM.
o Ladders shall conform to the requirements
specified in Volume II, Part II, Paragraph 3. of the CSM.
Personnel shall not be in or near an excavation where they could be struck by operating heavy equipment (e.g., track hoes, rock breakers, and backhoes). Personnel shall not be within the operating radius of the equipment.
Personnel shall not be in an excavation where they could be exposed to a possible cave-in, such as could be caused by equipment operating or passing by.
Personnel shall not be within a distance less than the depth of the excavation from the edge where equipment is located.
H. Emergency Response
CONTRACTOR shall provide appropriate emergency rescue equipment (breathing apparatus, full body harness and lifeline, basket stretcher) during excavation work as applicable.
I. Edge Protection, Markers and Fixed Lighting
CONTRACTOR shall provide edge protections, markers and fixed lighting as necessary in accordance to the applicable requirements of Volume II, Part II Paragraph 1.11 of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM.

J. Roads, Streets and Sidewalks
Excavation work on or near roads, streets and sidewalks shall meet the requirements of SAUDI ARAMCO General Instructions GI 1021.000 “Street and Road Closure: Excavations, Reinstatement and Traffic Control”.
Trenches in roads, streets and sidewalks shall be completely covered with properly designed steel plates where traffic flow needs to be maintained over the trench.
o Such trenches shall be properly shored as
described in Paragraph 3.2.3.13.F above.
o The trench cover plate thickness shall be selected based on the width of the trench, grade of steel and weight of heaviest expected traffic (e.g., fire truck, fully loaded tractor, and trailer truck). Refer to Figures 1.17 to 1.20 for typical cover plates for road trenches and Figure 1.21 for sidewalk protection of Volume II, Part II Paragraph 1. of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM.
3.2.3.14 Scaffolding
CONTRACTOR shall provide and install tubular metal personnel access scaffolding as required.
o Safe design, erection, supervision, inspection, use,
tagging, alteration and dismantling of scaffolding shall be in strict accordance with the requirements of Saudi ARAMCO General Instruction, G.I 8.001 Safety Requirements for Scaffolds, Scaffold Safety Handbook by Saudi ARAMCO Loss Prevention Department and Volume II, Part II Paragraph 2. of the SAUDI ARAMCO CSM.
o All scaffolds shall be erected, altered and dismantled
only under the direction of on-site scaffold supervisor. The scaffold supervisor shall have the full authority over his scaffold craftsmen and must be present at the job site during their work and provide effective supervision of all scaffolding work under his responsibility. He shall not just show up at the end of the job to sign the scaffold tag. Only trained and experienced scaffold craftsmen shall be used for erecting, altering and dismantling the scaffolds.

3.2.3.15 Asbestos
CONTRACTOR shall comply with all requirements of SAUDI ARAMCO G.I. 150.001 - Asbestos Regulation, where work is executed involving asbestos. The CONTRACTOR shall notify SAUDI ARAMCO Industrial Hygiene (Workplace Environment Division) for review and comment on demolition and packing, asbestos hazard plans and recommendations for personal protective equipment and SAUDI ARAMCO Land and Groundwater Protection Unit (Environmental Engineering Division) for disposal recommendations, two weeks prior to any demolition involving asbestos containing structures.
3.2.3.16 Hazardous Materials
CONTRACTOR shall comply with all requirements of SAUDI ARAMCO G.I. 150.100 – Hazardous Materials Communication Program, where work is executed involving Hazardous Materials. Additionally, safe use, handling, storage and disposal of such materials shall be in accordance with Volume 2, Part I, Chapter 10 of the CSM.
3.3 All WORK shown in the drawings listed in Paragraph 5.0 hereinafter but not
described or specified in this Scope of Work and vice versa shall be considered part of the WORK.
3.4 Before doing any WORK, CONTRACTOR shall verify all measurements at the construction area for their accuracy. No extra charge or compensation will be allowed on account of differences in actual dimensions and measurements.
3.5 Prior to demolition, reconfirm which items and structures are to be removed and which materials are to be salvaged and reused. All materials identified for salvage shall be carefully protected and stored as directed by the SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer.
3.6 Remove entirely all existing miscellaneous items or articles which obviously interfere with the work. It is the CONTRACTOR’s responsibility to carefully remove any items or obstacles to facilitate the WORK. CONTRACTOR shall reinstate all such items following completion of the WORK to match existing, including any finishing, to the satisfaction of the SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer.
3.7 All areas in the vicinity of WORK shall be protected from damage. Any item that is damaged or marred as a direct or indirect result of the WORK shall be restored to its original state by the CONTRACTOR. Any items which cannot be removed shall be protected against the effects of the work and any water damage or mechanical defect.

3.8 Keep the area of WORK clean and orderly at all times, as directed and to the satisfaction of the SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer.
3.9 No WORK shall be considered complete unless inspected and approved by the SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer in conformance with the drawing(s), Scope of Work and all Saudi ARAMCO Codes, Standards and Specifications.
3.10 Upon completion of WORK, cart away all unused materials, containers, debris, etc., as directed by the SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer.
4.0 WORK DESCRIPTION
4.1 General:
4.1.1 Verify actual field dimension and conditions on affected areas prior to construction/installation of electrical equipment/devices relative to the proposed electrical installation and other related work.
4.1.2 Disconnect/lock-out power supply before any related electrical activities are carried-out. Power supply isolation shall comply with the requirements of G. I. 6.012 “Isolation, Lock-out, and Use of Hold Tags”.
4.1.3 Any necessary adjustment arising from a discrepancy from the drawing shall need approval of SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer prior to implement the changes.
4.1.4 All Electrical works shall be done by qualified personnel approved by
SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer and in accordance with the latest edition of NEC, NFPA and SAUDI ARAMCO Standard.
4.1.5 CONTRACTOR shall conduct cable circuit tracings prior to disconnect
and remove lighting posts lights circuits.
4.1.6 Existing LV Direct Buried Power Cable affected shall be protected for any damages.
4.1.7 Existing Pole Lightings identified to remain shall be protected during the course of the work. After completion of work test the existing Pole Lightings to demonstrate proper lighting acceptable to Saudi ARAMCO.
4.1.8 All wiring shall be color coded and properly mark as per SAUDI ARAMCO Standard.
4.1.9 All works (excavation, trenching, fill, backfill and compaction) shall be
executed in strict compliance with Saudi ARAMCO Engineering Standards, SAES-A-114.
4.1.10 All service equipment, lighting fixtures, electrical devices, boxes and metal conduit shall be provided with equipment grounding and bonding conductor in accordance with SAES-P-111.

4.1.11 Separation of not less than 300 mm (12 in) vertically or 600 mm (24 in) horizontally must be maintained between buried power and communication cables.
4.1.12 Lights Poles shall be tag/label with plate marker approved by Saudi
ARAMCO.
4.1.13 Direct buried cable depth burial requirements shall be done in accordance to standard ARAMCO drawing AD-036874 sheet 001, Rev. 16, index P, Plant 990.
4.1.14 Electrical Panel Board directory shall be updated after completion of
work or prior to turnover to PROPONENT as approved by Saudi ARAMCO Project Engineer. Provide identification tags on equipment and devices identifying circuit directory.
4.1.15 Make good all affected surfaces to match existing.
4.2 Site work: (Zuhoor & Yasmeen court) 4.2.1 Removal: (Refer to Drawing No. HA-359217 Sheet No. 001-Revision
00).
CONTRACTOR shall: 4.2.1.1 Remove existing pole lighting fixtures and posts including
concrete base pedestal and other related accessories. LV Direct Buried Cable to remain and abandon.
4.2.2 Trenching and Installation (Refer to Drawing No. HA-359217 Sheet
No. 002 Revision No. 00, HA-359219 Sheet No. 001 Revision No. 00). 4.2.2.1 Excavate to the limits shown on the Drawing. Excavation
work shall consist of cutting through asphalt and concrete pavement, natural grades as well as removing all solid rocks necessary to carry out the work.
4.2.2.2 Bottom of excavation shall be continuous, relatively smooth and free of rocks with cone up to 6” fine sand bedding level, well compacted and free from any rocks or other debris that can cause damage to conduits or cable
4.2.2.3 Install new pipe sleeves at walkway crossing.
4.2.2.4 Install/lay new low voltage direct burial cables including
supports and accessories.
4.2.2.5 Apply duxseal on all conduit ends.

4.2.2.6 Perform continuity and insulation tests to LV direct buried cables prior to backfilling. Test result to be submitted to Saudi ARAMCO Project Engineer and D.P.I.U for review and evaluation.
4.2.2.7 Backfill trench to existing ground surface level with selected
dry sand bedding and marl fill compacted to maximum density, restore ground surface affected by the work.
4.2.2.8 Place terra tape marker and red tile directly above the cable
buried with sand.
4.2.2.9 Mark cable route in accordance with SAUDI ARAMCO Standard Drawing No. AB-036326 or AB-036273, whichever is applicable.
4.2.2.10 Existing surface which have been affected by new work shall be patched repair as required and shall be scribed neatly and perfectly match.
4.2.3 New Works: (Refer to Drawing No. HA- 359217 Sheet No. 002
Revision 00, HA-359219 Sheet No. 001 Revision No. 00).
CONTRACTOR shall:
4.2.3.1 Install new reinforce concrete pedestal for lighting posts including anchor rods, stub-ups, supports, fittings and accessories.
4.2.3.2 Install new light posts including pole arms, pole mounted LED lighting fixtures with LED driver including cables, fittings and other related accessories.
4.2.3.3 Install groundings and grounding pits including accessories.
4.2.3.4 Serviced and cleaned existing Lighting control panel and panelboard.
4.2.3.5 Install/put gravels in the perimeter/surroundings of lighting post/concrete pole base, dimension & quantity as shown in the drawings.
4.2.4 Termination and Testing
4.2.4.1 Connect/tap the new lighting posts to existing electrical panel board lighting contactors.

5.2 As Built Drawings
5.2.1 Upon completion of all works, the CONTRACTOR shall submit one set of “As-Built” Drawing to the Saudi ARAMCO. These Drawings shall indicate all deviations from the contract Drawings and shall include dimensions, quantities, materials and products used in the construction with vendors name, address and prepared from records kept up on a daily basis throughout the duration of the project. The “As-Built” records shall be subject to examination by the Saudi ARAMCO Project Engineer.
5.2.2 Any SUBCONTRACTOR performing work under these specifications and project Drawings shall provide two sets of “As-Built” marked-up print-outs to the prime CONTRACTOR periodically as required by the prime CONTRACTOR.
5.2.3 The mark-ups shall be done in professional manner utilizing red ink
5.2.4 “As Built Drawings” shall be in an electronic format utilizing Bentley “Micro Station”.

6.1.2 Concrete shall be supplied by the CONTRACTOR from Saudi ARAMCO approved plant approved plant. Such plants shall conform to the provisions of 09-SAMSS-097 using sulfate resistant Portland cement (Type V). The minimum 28 day design compressive strength per ASTM C39 shall be 28 MPA (4000 psi). For concrete above grade use Portland Cement ASTM C150 Type I as defined under ACI 318M, Chapter 4, Section 4.2 unless noted otherwise on drawings.
6.1.3 Reinforcing steel bars shall conform to 09-SAMSS-106, hot rolled, high tensile deformed steel with minimum yield strength of 422 Mpa (60.0 ksi).
6.1.4 Bar Cutting and Bending Schedule
6.1.4.1 CONTRACTOR shall submit a detailed bar cutting and bending schedule indicating all the required bar sizes, bar length, bar splicing, bar bending and bar location for approval of Saudi ARAMCO Engineer.
6.1.5 All reinforcements shall be Fusion Bonded Epoxy coated in accordance with 09-SAMSS-106.
6.1.6 Vapor barriers shall be polyethylene sheets conforming to ASTM E154 having a thickness of 6 mils minimum.
6.1.7 All tie wires shall be plastic or epoxy coated.
6.1.8 Damp proofing shall be asphalt in solvent as per ASTM D-41 and 09 SAMS – 60 or coal tar or bitumen coating that conforms to APCS-3 or APCS-10 of SAES-H-101V; applied to all concrete in direct contact with soil.
6.1.9 Hot Weather Concreting
A. Unless otherwise approved, all concreting shall be considered
hot weather concreting, as defined by ACI 305R, and shall be
in accordance with recommended practice of ACI 305R.
Ample water supply and foggers shall be available at all
concrete placement.
6.1.10 Cold Weather Concreting
A. Concreting shall be in accordance with recommended practice
of ACI 306R
6.1.11 Curing
A. Curing and protection of fresh concrete shall start immediately after final finishing operation. Curing methods shall be in accordance with ACI-308-92. Concrete shall be protected from premature drying, temperature extremes and mechanical injury, for a period of at least 7 days to allow proper hydration of the Portland cement and hardening of the concrete.

B. Moisture loss from surfaces adjacent to forms (shutters) shall be minimized by keeping the forms wet until they can be safely removed. Concrete shall be kept moist for a minimum of 7 days or until 70% of the specified strength has been achieved, whichever is longer.
C. All materials and facilities for curing concrete shall be on hand and ready for use before the concrete is placed.
D. Approved methods of curing include the following, refer to Section 2.3.3 of ACI 308:
a. Sheet Materials shall conform to ASTM C 171.
b. Burlap Cloth (or Hessian Sack) made from jute or kenaf
and weighing approximately 305 grams per sq. m (9 oz.
per sq. yd.) for moist curing shall conform to AASHTO
M182 and shall use two layers.
c. Water: Shall be sweet water, or acceptable raw water with
less than that 1000 PPM dissolved solids, as per Saudi
ARAMCO Engineering Standard, SAES-Q-001, para. 2.2

d. Sand: Wet, clean sand (ACI 308-92 section 2.2.5)
Note: Thirty (30) percent of the strength or more can be lost by premature drying out of the concrete. Therefore, maintain curing for at least the minimum time specified.
6.2 Clean Sea Stones / Gravels
6.2.1 Assorted sizes but not more than 37 mm diameter, color to be selected by the TSD Designer / Saudi ARAMCO Project Engineer.
6.3 Electrical Material
6.3.1 Submittal
6.3.1.1 Submit Technical / Manufacturer’s Data of materials specified in this section for review & approval by the Saudi ARAMCO Project Engineer.
6.3.2 Conduit: RSC/PVC;
6.3.2.1 RSC/PVC; Steel Conduit and coupling hot dip galvanized after cutting and threading, externally coated with 40 mils NOM TH PVC per National STD. RN1 (Type A-40) American National Standard Institute (ANSI) STD. C80.1; Underwriter's Laboratories (UL) listed.
