XWEB EVO New software version 5.4.0 PN 02/19 FEBRUARY

Dear Customer,

the new software version 5.4.0 introduces important

features for the XWEB EVO system family, such as: the

touch screen support, improved instruments to analyze

the operating machine status and further relevant

functions to simplify the use of the product for the

installer. Furthermore, the new version extends the

compatibility with the Emerson ProAct Connect+

software.



1. Touch screen support (only for XWEB3000/5000 EVO models)

From now on, the XWEB3000 EVO and XWEB5000 EVO models can be used also combined with touch screen displays, since they are provided with video interface and USB port for the pointer. Each page of the XWEB EVO local interface contains a tab to open or hide the virtual keyboard.

Note: the keyboard has a fixed layout and it doesn’t change depending on the language used on the XWEB EVO.



2. Data report from circular data XWEB EVO can export data in CSV/XLSX format from the database of the circular data. These data have been registered by the XWEB EVO at a maximum speed. The older record will not be overwritten for:

- maximum 48 hours for XWEB3000/5000 EVO models; - maximum 6 hours for XWEB300/500 EVO models.

This information is very useful for the analysis of the machine/plant operating status. Until now the “Chart” tool was the only one used; now, thanks to the export function, it is possible to analyze data using even other tools (such as Excel). Time limits due to the XWEB EVO memory can now be exceeded by saving the data with predefined timing.

3. Additional functions Besides the already mentioned functions, the 5.4.0 software version includes other important functionalities; here below the most relevant ones:

• Export range interval on chart export; • Add device starting from an already existing one; • Data reports can now be created starting from a chart configuration: • Extended integration with ProAct Connect+ to manage backups, pre-configurations and parameters

4. Availability and orders From March 2019 all XWEB EVO will be delivered with the new software version 5.4.0. Software updates will be available upon request (“offline” update procedure). The software update is for all XWEB EVO models and can be applied to machines that are already installed and configured:

• for XWEB300D/500D/500 EVO it will be applied on any software version;

• for XWEB3000/5000 EVO it must be applied on an equal or successive version of the 4.0.5 version. After the update installation, XWEB EVO can optimize the memorized data; during this optimization XWEB EVO is working properly. The optimization can take several minutes, don’t switch off the system during this operation.

After the update from a previous version to the 4.3 version, it can be necessary to check and update the aesthetic of layout desktops.
