University Club Board of Directors

TIS THE SEASON FOR PROMS, GRADUATIONS & WEDDINGS

The University Club is available for these “Special” celebrations. Contact Patricia Bunner or Kathy Logsdon for more information.852-0160

Dear Member,

I must share with you that the turbulent times at UofL are creating a very concerning problem when attempting to manage finances at the Club. All of our revenue streams are down dramatically, impacting the wellbeing of the University Club. The Club’s Board of Directors have instructed me to send you a personal letter offering a more in-depth explanation of these challenges. More than ever before, we need your support to help map out our future. We believe that after you have a better understanding of the severity of this situation, you will step up and generously donate funds to this great not-for-profit organization.

In moving on, I don’t know about you, but it will sure make me happier once we get through this winter. The days have been cold, wet, and gloomy. To make things worse, it seems like everyone has been dealing with illnesses.

We sincerely appreciate your support, as we enjoy the opportunity to visit with many of you during the member’s special events. The brunches have become quite popular and the lenten season always fosters great attendance at our seafood nights and fish frys. In closing, watch for ballots for the Board of Directors elections and vote for your preferred candidate. Please remember to consider the University Club as your first choice when donating funds to your favorite not-for–profit organization.

Best Regards,Bill

Have you been missing out on Breakfast of Champions?

Join us March 13!7:30 a.m.

On the second Tuesday of odd-numbered months, a wide range of local businesses and community leaders gather at the University Club for the Breakfast of Champions. Every Breakfast features an interesting speaker, hot breakfast, and great networking with people making things happen in Louisville. The Breakfast is co-hosted by Dick Wilson, Katie Gaughan, Ken Grossman, Jeff Peden, Rick Redding, and Bill Rothballer.

The March 13 Breakfast of Champions will feature Scott Koloms, President of Facilities Management Services (FMS). Scott will share his story of building a profitable, high-growth, mission-driven organization and a model for “Doing Well by Doing Good.”

Make plans to join us for brunch before the 2018 running of the Kentucky Oaks & Derby. Enjoy an amazing brunch from Chef Michael and feel free to park your vehicle here at the Club. The fun begins on May 4th.
