By Angela D. Hi Friends! This year our school has two teachers retiring! You are gonna cry when you hear! Mrs. Donna Strickler and Mrs. Luann Nedrow. They have been teaching here for a long time! They have almost always taught the younger kids here, most of their time. Information has reveled that Mrs. Nedrow taught at Holy Family school before she became a Grizzly. Mrs. Strickler taught Special Educa-tion when she first started teaching. Mrs. Nedrow has even taught a combo 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grade class with Miss Scher when she was teaching here. And she has taught a 2nd,3rd & 4th grade combo class too! Mrs. Strickler has taught combined class’ also, a 1st/2nd combo class. They have been the best teachers here for our kids and they have now even taught the children of some of their first students! We want to wish them the very best as they retire and we hope that we will see them once in a while! Yeah, they can sub! That would be neat! We love you two teachers and are really going to miss you! “Thanks Mrs. Strickler for being my 2nd grade teacher!” This is Angels D. with your Grizzly Kids News front page headline! Happy summer everyone!

The 4th, 5th & 6th grades in the
whole school district have a
track meet at the end of the school year! We train and
learn what and how to do with our P.E. teachers. Then
we all came together at the meet on May 31st @ the
CHS Track & Field. It is very exciting and scary! I think our

Did you know that we get to go to the Aquatic Center for a P.E. class?
Well yes we do! The 2nd graders got to go there earlier this year to do
swim lessons for several weeks so this is a good time for them to also
practice what they learned! We all
have great fun of course and it was a
bit chili but we are Grizzlies-we are
tough! Here are some great pictures
Mr. Josh took of us! That’s me in the
upper right corner! I had a blast! JB

It is the 2nd to the last day of
school and we all were into the
world of FLIGHT! Each class did
an art project that had to do with
flight. Whether it be Wind Socks,
Hot Air Balloons, Butterfly’s ,
Kites or a plane! Mrs. Thompson
taught all the students the song:
Let’s Go Fly a Kite the last couple
of weeks and then we assembled in the gym, in the
Very DARK, DARK gym
and we turned our
lights on our butter-
flies, Hot Air Balloons
and Wind Socks (it
looked so cool!) and
we sang our song! Then we went outside and had a popsi-
cle. And several teachers flew their kites! It was Awesome!

Pop Tabs
Pull the tab off your can, put it in a small container or zip lock bag & put the can in a bigger plastic sack, save up & turn them in, to your teacher. Mrs. Heath col-lects the whole can for cash & it goes towards the annual Snake River boat trip for 5th graders. And of course, Mrs. Nedrow takes the pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald house. So let’s help the families who need the Ronald McDonald House of the Inland Northwest to be near their children in a hospital situation and help our school in this easy fund raiser! It is an easy Act of Kindness! :)
Get to collecting!!!
