RCSD ROC READ A Rochester City School District Vacation Reading Program

Students in grades Pre-Kindergarten-Grade Six are encouraged to enjoy a book with

their family over the February 18th through February 22nd Winter Break. Students who

participate in this ROC READ event will receive two coupons for two free $6 meals from

Wegmans and two tickets to a Rochester Razor Sharks basketball game! (Two meals and 2

basketball tickets per student.)

Students will bring books home from school to read, but please also visit a branch of the

Monroe County Library. There are 11 branches throughout the City. The Monroe County Library

System will also be offering special programs during Winter Break, and a full list is available at:

http://www3.libraryweb.org.

Students in 7th

– 12th

grades are encouraged to read over winter break.

You can read any book you choose, but there are lists of suggested

titles if you’re looking for some inspiration – you can view the lists at:
