Seed FundPurposeThe five million dollar Yamacraw Seed Capital Fund was created by the State of Georgia to provide equity and other risk capital to support the formation of companies engaged in next generation broadband infrastructure, particularly:
• High bandwidth communications• Semiconductor technology • Content processing
Investment Criteria• Must be matched 3 to 1 by the private sector • A maximum of 49% ownership in a company may be purchased• No more than $500,000 may be invested in the seed round• Companies must be based in Georgia
Designed to operate as an evergreen investment fund.
